The Effect of BUM Aqua-acupuncture on Immune Responses to LPS Induced Arthritis in Mice (우황(牛黃)·웅담(熊膽)·사향(麝香) 복합제제(複合製劑) 약침자극(藥鍼刺戟)이 LPS유발(誘發) 관절염(關節炎)의 면역반응(免疫反應)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • Objective : To investigate the effect of BUM aqua-acupuncture in treating the RA, the immunosis to logical analysis of LPS induced arthritis in mice to study this. For 14th day after the injection of LPS & BUM injection, the distribution of fibroblast, collagen, CD54(ICAM-1), CD106(VCAM-1), IL-$1{\beta}$, IL-2 receptor, CDl lb(macrophage) were examined on synovial capsule of mice knee joint. For 14th day after the injection of LPS & BUM injection, the distribucion of CD4(TH cell), CD8(TC cell), CD40(B cell) were examined on common iliac lymph node in mice. Methods : The experimental model of arthritis was induced by injection of 300${\mu}g$/kg LPS in BALB/c mice weighing 30g. The 100${\mu}l$ BUM aqua-acupuncture which compounded calculus bovis, fel ursi and moschus was injected into GB34 of mice every other day for 12 days. For 3rd, 7th, 14th day after the injection of LPS, the neutrophil, lymphocyte and monocytc counts in WBC were measured using hemacytometer. Results : The obstain results are summarized as follows ; 1. In sample group, the neutrophils counts were increased and the lympnocytes counts were decreased compared with control group. 2. The distribution of fibrosis & fibroblast on synovial membrane were decreased compared with control group. 3. The distribution of collagen fiber on synovial membrane were decreased compared' with control group. 4. The distribution of CD54(ICAM-1) & CD106(VCAM-1) on synovial membrane were decreased compared with control group. 5. The distribution of IL-$1{\beta}$ & IL-2 receptor on synovial membrane were decreased compared with control group. 6. The distribution of CDb(macrophage) on synovial membrane were decreased compared with control group. 7. The distribution of CD4(TH cell), CD8(TC cell) and CD40(B cell) in common iliac lymph nodes were decreased compared with control group. Conclusions : BUM aqua-acupuncture stimulation decreased inflammatory responses LPS induced arthritis in mice.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Calculus Bovis Fel Ursi Moschus(BUM) pharmacopuncture on the treatment of acute low back pain patients. Methods : The subjects in this study were 30 patients with acute low back pain who were treated in Dept. of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Jein Oriental Medicine Hospital from November 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011. These patients were randomly divided into two groups. In one group(control group), patients were treated with acupuncture. And in the other group(experimental group), patients were treated with both acupuncture and BUM pharmacopuncture. For evaluating change of pain, visual analog scale(VAS) and Oswestry disability index(ODI) were checked before and after. Results : Each group had significant decrease in VAS and ODI after each treatment. Experimental group had more significant decrease in VAS after each treatment than control group. Conclusions : We suggest that cotreatment of acupuncture and BUM pharmacopuncture on acute low back pain patients can be recommended as a useful therapy.

The Study of Engine Output and Emission Characteristics according to Air Fuel Ratio far a Supercharged LPLi Engine (과급 LPLi 엔진의 공연비 변화에 따른 출력성능 및 배기특성에 관한 연구)

  • For the purpose of obtaining a fundamental data which is needed to develope the port injection type charged LPLi engine system, we manufactured intake port injection system of liquid charging LPG and modified heavy duty single cylinder LPLi engine from heavy duty diesel engine. Engine output and emission characteristics were analyzed under variable air/fuel ratio and charging pressure. Since LPG is consisted of propane and butane, we investigated combustion characteristics using this two kinds of fuel. From the result of charging engine performance test, engine torque increase about 30% ∼ 40% with 0.3bar charging pressure. In low speed condition, as charging pressure increase, combustion stability improve ill lean bum condition, but, in high speed condition, combustion stability make worse in lean bum condition. We know that engine output decreased rapidly from the condition of air excess ratio 1.3. In addition, we measured emission characteristics under the lean bum and charging condition. From this experiment, we found that CO emission is out of the question in the range from stiochiometric to lean burn and charging condition, but charging pressure has influence on HC emission.

  • The Chosun Dynasty＇s establishment of Five-Ceremony, which occurred shortly after its founding, and the revision of traditional Korean music were based on Confucianism＇s Ceremony-Pleasure Idea(예약사상). The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Cheo-Yong dancing, both social and political, on the role of royal dancing. Furthermore, this study will consider what the Chosun Dynasty＇s(조선) rulers pursued, by researching the reasonswhy Cheo-Yong dancing changed with the times along with the symbolic change of clothing for Cheo-Yong dancing through (Ak-Hak-Gue-Bum), a book which explains music and dance in Chosun Dynasty as a part of Ceremony-Pleasure Idea(예약사상) the people ruled ever the country tough courtesy etiquette and music. Consequently, Cheo-Yong dancing which was introduced in (Ak-Hak-Gue-Bum) played the roles of justifying, strengthening and displaying royal authority. And because the symbolism of Cheo-Yong dancing is reflected in clothing for Cheo-Yong dancing, it can be concluded that it expresses not only the sense of value of that times but also ruler＇s idea.
