장부상통과 지산도표의 이해 (Correlation Between the Jang and Bu Organs and Jeesan′s Diagram of Pulse)

  • The following conclusions are drawn from a review on the theory of correlation between the jang-bu organs in 'Ojangchunchaklon(五臟穿鑿論)' which is quoted in 'Uihakipmoon(醫學入門)' and 'Donguibogam(東醫寶鑑)'. The three yangs and three yins are trisections each of yang ki and y1n ki. They represent three aspects of change in powers of yin ki and yang ki. The theory of Kaehapchu(開闔樞 the opening, closing and pivot) is thought to be the concept which explains the three states of jang-bu organs and meridians in terms of three yangs and three yins. The three yangs and three yins are assigned to twelve months according to the generation, prosperity and vanishment of the water, the fire, the wood and the metal in the circulation of nature with the lapse of time. Most of all, the change of the water and the fire is the main guide to the assignment. Both the theory of exterior-interior relations in jang-bu organs and meridians and the theory of Kaehapchu are founded on the assignment of three yangs and three yins to twelve months. The correlation between jang-bu organs is based on the monthly assignment of three yangs and three yins described in 'Internal classic(內經)' and the theory of Kaehapchu. In the correlations between jang-bu organs and meridians, the exterior-interior relations are the correspondences of Hand to Hand and Foot to Foot. but the relations of Kaehapchu are those of Hand to Foot and Foot to Hand. Jeesan's diagram of pulse is grounded on the correlations between jang-bu organs. On the left of the diagram, jang organs are arranged in the order of hierarchic positions in body. On the right, bu organs are disposed according to the correlations with the jang organs. Jeesan's diagram includes the principles of triple harmony and diagonal groups in twelve earthly branches(十二支). Jeesan's diagram is the frame through which correlations of jung-ki-shin-hyul, five jang and six bu organs, twelve meridians and six intrinsic factors can be observed at once.

USB 케이블의 전원선 에서의 방사성 EMI 개선 (The Reduction Method for Radiated EMI in USB Power Line of Cable)

  • 본 논문에서는 USB(Universal Serial Bus) 케이블 전원선에서의 방사성 EMI(Electro-Magnetci Interference) 개선 방안을 제시한다. 케이블 전원선에서의 EMI 방사현상을 확인하기 위해 무선 비디오 액세스 시스템을 이용하여, 방사성 EMI 결과를 분석하고 초기 측정 결과 규제치 대비 약 3 [dBuV/m]~15 [dBuV/m]를 초과함을 확인한다. 방사성 EMI 원인 분석을 위해, 먼저 USB 케이블 전원선에서의 S-파라미터 측정을 수행하여 케이블의 고주파수 대역에서의 규칙적인 공진현상과 방사성 EMI 주파수의 연관성을 분석한다. 그리고, 전원 회로 임피던스 관리 기법을 응용하여 캐패시터의 개수 선정, 비드를 이용한 저역통과 대역 필터를 구성을 통해 케이블 전원선의 공진현상을 저감하는 개선방법을 적용한다. 결론적으로 개선된 회로를 시스템에 적용하여 케이블의 규칙적 공진의 저감방법을 제시하여, 방사성 EMI 테스트 결과 규제치 대비 약 3 [dBuV/m]~20 [dBuV/m] 마진의 마진을 확보하여 제시한 방법의 적합성 확인한다.

CCD-986sk 세포내에서의 노랑어리연꽃 추출물 및 분획물의 주름개선 효과 (Anti-wrinkle effects of extracts and solvent fractions from Nymphoides peltata on CCD-986sk)

  • 본 연구는 새로운 기능성 화장품 소재 개발을 위해 노랑어리연꽃 추출물 및 분획물을 이용하여 섬유아세포내에서의 항노화 효과를 확인 하고자 하였다. 노랑어리연꽃 추출물 및 분획물의 CCD-986sk 세포를 이용하여 항노화 효과를 측정한 결과, EA 분획물이 UVB에 의해 증가된 ROS 발현을 50% 이상 억제하였으며, BuOH 분획물의 경우 pro-collagen mRNA 발현을 $25{\mu}g/mL$에서 50% 이상 발현을 증가시켰다. EA 분획물과 BuOH 분획물 모두 MMP-1 protein과 mRNA발현을 농도 의존적으로 저해시켰으며, BuOH 분획물의 경우 $10{\mu}g/mL$에서 40% 이상의 MMP-1 mRNA 발현 억제율을 확인하였다. 이는 노화 인자인 활성산소종의 생성 억제와 주름과 밀접한 관련이 있는 콜라겐의 합성 및 분해억제를 통해 항산화 및 주름 개선 효과가 있는 것으로 판단되었으며 특히 EA 와 BuOH 분획물의 높은 효능이 확인되었다. 따라서 노랑어리연꽃 EA 및 BuOH 분획물은 화장품 분야에서 항노화 소재로서의 활용가치가 있을 것으로 사료된다.

동백 유박 에탄올추출물 및 분획물의 항산화 활성 (Anti-oxidant activities of ethanol extract and fractions from defatted Camellia japonica L. seeds)

  • 본 연구는 동백나무(Camellia japonica L.) 유박 추출물 및 분획물의 in vitro 항산화 활성에 대해 조사하였다. 동백나무 유박은 에탄올을 사용하여 추출하였으며, 이 후 부탄올(BuOH), 에틸아세테이트(EtOAc), 클로로포름 및 헥산을 이용하여 분획물을 조제하였다. 동백 유박 추출물 및 분획물의 항산화 활성을 평가하기 위해 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS+), hydroxyl radical, superoxide anion (O2-) radical 소거능을 측정하였다. 동백 유박 추출물 및 분획물은 농도의존적으로 DPPH, ABTS+ 및 O2- radical 소거능을 증가시켜 항산화 활성을 나타내었다. 특히 동백 유박 BuOH 분획물은 다른 추출물 및 분획물에 비해 가장 높은 radical 소거능을 나타내었다. 동백 유박 BuOH 분획물의 총 폴리페놀 및 플라보노이드 함량은 각각 23.26 mg GAE/g 및 32.39 mg QE/g이었으며, 이는 다른 추출물 및 분획물보다 높은 수치임을 알 수 있었다. 동백 유박 BuOH 분획물 및 EtOAc 분획물의 cameliaside B 함량은 각각 102.37, 165.05 ㎍/g임을 확인하여 다른 추출물 및 분획물에 비해 높은 수치를 나타냄을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 동백 유박 추출 및 분획물 중에서 BuOH 분획물 및 EtOA c 분획물은 다른 추출 및 분획물에 비해 radical 소거능이 우수할 뿐 아니라 항산화 물질 함유량이 높아, 항산화 기능성 소재로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Antioxidant and Anti-inflammatory Activities of Butanol Extract of Melaleuca leucadendron L.

  • Melaleuca leucadendron L. has been used as a tranquilizing, sedating, evil-dispelling and pain-relieving agent. We examined the effects of M. leucadendron L. extracts on oxidative stress and inflammation. M. leucadendron L. was extracted with methanol (MeOH) and then fractionated with chloroform ($CHCl_3$) and butanol (BuOH). Antioxidant activity of the MeOH extract and BuOH fraction were higher than that of both ${\alpha}$-tocopherol and butyrated hydroxytoluene (BHT). Total phenol content in the extracts of M. leucadendron L., especially the BuOH fraction, well correlated with the antioxidant activity. The anti-inflammatory activity of BuOH extracts were investigated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide (NO) and prostaglandin $E_2$ ($PGE_2$) production, and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression in RAW 264.7 macrophages. The BuOH fraction significantly inhibited LPS-induced NO and $PGE_2$ production. Furthermore, BuOH extract of M. leucadendron L. inhibited the expression of COX-2 and iNOS protein without an appreciable cytotoxic effect on RAW264.7 cells. The extract of M. leucadendron L. also suppressed the phosphorylation of inhibitor ${\kappa}B{\alpha}$ ($I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$) and its degradation associated with nuclear factor-${\kappa}B$ (NF-${\kappa}B$) activation. Furthermore, BuOH fraction inhibited LPS-induced NF-${\kappa}B$ transcriptional activity in a dose-dependent manner. These results suggested that M. leucadendron L. could be useful as a natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory resource.

사기오미론(四氣五味論)의 구조적 해석 (Structural Interpretation of Properties and Flavors of Drugs)

  • Four Properties and five Flavors of Drugs is interpreted by adaptation of human body to the environmental theory(天人相應). The Structural model of the body is compared with sky, earth, sun and moon (天, 地, 日, 月). The natural changes of the four seasons give rise to that of Four Properties and five Flavors of Drugs. On equal terms it is happened in our body. On this study we can draw an analogy between sky, earth, sun & moon (天, 地, 日, 月) and the body. The six bu(六腑) is related to the earth, the five ju(五主) to the sky, the five jang(五臟) to the sun, the meridians system (經絡) to the moon. When spring, the air is warm, the water element of the earth is ascending, and the earth gives birth to the sour flavor. Like this, the water element is absorbed by six bu and then is ascended to the meridian system. When summer, the air is hot and the water element of the earth is floated, the earth make the bitter flavor. In the same way, the six bu absorbed the hot air from the five ju and the water element is quickly absorbed by six bu and then the water element is ascended to the meridian system. When rainy season (長夏), the earth creates the sweet flavor The sweet flavor give warmer energy to the five jang and the six bu. When autumn, the earth change the sweet flavor into pungent. The earth gives warmer energy to the sky, because of cool weather According to same process, the pungent flavor give warmer energy to the five jang and the six bu, and the meridian system gets back the water element from the five ju. When winter, the air is cold and the water element of the earth is hidden. The sky and the earth are not interchangeable. At that time, the earth produce the salty flavor and the water element is keeping in the meridian system.

Development of Cholinesterase Inhibitors using 1-Benzyl Piperidin-4-yl (α)-Lipoic Amide Molecules

  • A series of hybrid molecules between (${\alpha}$)-lipoic acid (ALA) and 4-amino-1-benzyl piperidines were synthesized and their in vitro cholinesterase (acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE)) inhibitory activities were evaluated. Even though the parent compounds did not exhibit any inhibitory activity against cholinesterase (ChE) with the exception of compound 14 ($IC_{50}=255.26{\pm}4.41$ against BuChE), all hybrid molecules demonstrated BuChE inhibitory activity. Some hybrid compounds also displayed AChE inhibitory activity. Specifically, compound 17 was shown to be an effective inhibitor against both AChE ($IC_{50}=1.75{\pm}0.30{\mu}M$) and BuChE ($IC_{50}=5.61{\pm}1.25{\mu}M$) comparable to galantamine ($IC_{50}=1.7{\pm}0.9{\mu}M$ against AChE and $IC_{50}=9.4{\pm}2.5{\mu}M$ against BuChE). Inhibition kinetic studies using compound 17 indicated a mixed inhibition type for AChE and a noncompetitive inhibition type for BuChE. Its binding affinity ($K_i$) values to AChE and BuChE were $3.8{\pm}0.005{\mu}M$ and $7.0{\pm}0.04{\mu}M$, respectively.

지유(地楡) 부탄올 분획물의 Streptococcus mutans 항균활성 및 항산화 효과 (Anti-microbial Effect on Streptococcus mutans and Anti-oxidant Effect of the Butanol Fractions of Sanguisorbae Radix)

  • Objective : Sanguisorbae Radix(SO). that belong to Rosaceae is widely distributed in Asia including Korea, Japan and China. It has been used as traditional medicine from old times as a treatment for anti-inflammatory drugs. This study was designed to investigate the effects of n-BuOH fractions of SO on anti-oxidant effect and anti-microbial effect on $Streptococcus$ $mutans$ ($S.$ $mutans$). Methods : The anti-microbial effect of $n$-BuOH fractions of SO. was assessed by the paper disk diffusion method and anti-oxidant effect was assessed by the DPPH radical scavenging effect, Superoxide anion radical scavenging effect and SOD like ability. Results : DPPH radical scavenging of the $n$-BuOH fraction from SO in 50 ug/mL was shown to be Fr-2 (89.9%), Fr-3 (88.7%), Fr-4 (76.3%), Fr-1 (59.4%), Fr-5 (56.2%). Superoxside anion radical scavenging activity of the n-BuOH fraction from SO. in 50 ug/mL for Fr-3 was shown to be 78%. SOD-like activity of n-BuOH fraction from the SO in 1000 ug/mL for Fr-3 were shown to be 76.1% respectively. The $n$-BuOH fraction from the SO had high anti-microbial effect on $S.$ $mutans$. Conclusion : As a result, the $n$-BuOH fraction from SO. has good anti-microbial and anti-oxidant effects in a concentration-dependent manner.

Inhibition of Azoxymethane-induced Colorectal Aberrant Crypt Foci in Mice Fed a High-fat Diet by Pleurotus eryngii (Eringi) and Hypsizygus marmoreus (Bunashimeji)

  • Obesity markedly increases the risk of colorectal cancer. Recently, the preventive effects of edible mushrooms on triglyceride elevation and visceral fat accumulation have been reported. Here, the effects of Pleurotus eryngii (Eringi) and Hypsizygus marmoreus (Bunashimeji) on azoxymethane (AOM)-induced aberrant crypt foci (ACF; precancerous lesions) in the colorectums of mice fed a high-fat diet were examined. Eringi (ER) and Bunashimeji (BU) mushroom powder samples were used. Six-week-old male C57BL/6J mice received an intraperitoneal injection of AOM (10 mg/kg) once a week for two weeks, and were sacrificed and dissected at 6 weeks after the start of the experiment. After the initiation of the experiment, they received a normal diet (ND), high-fat diet (HFD), HFD + ER (1 or 5% of diet), or HFD + BU (1 or 5% of diet). As a result, body and fat weights were significantly lower in the 5% ER and BU groups than in the HFD group. Liver triglyceride levels were also significantly lower in the 5% ER and BU groups. Total liver cholesterol levels were significantly lower in the 5% ER group. The numbers of ACF (especially large ACF) showed strong inhibitory effects in both ER and BU groups. Measurement of the cell proliferation marker Ki-67 labeling index in the colonic mucosa demonstrated more significant suppression in both ER and BU groups than in the HFD group. These results suggest that the simultaneous intake of ER and BU may inhibit colorectal tumorigenesis in HFD-fed mice.

  • Sway-back 자세를 가진 환자 3례에 전방락킹, 후방락킹 운동 및 MET를 이용하여 치료한 결과 Whole spine X-ray(lateral)상의 척추만곡각도 및 NRS score의 호전을 확인하였다. 이에 저자는 본 증례를 보고하는 바이다.
