전류측정 데이터를 이용한 브러쉬 없는 직류전동기의 구동토크 예측 (A Driving Torque Prediction of Brushless DC Motor by Using the Measured Current Data)

  • This paper presents an estimation scheme of the external torque applied on the motor by using measured motor input current when the IPM(Interior Permanent Magnet) rotor type BLDC motor operates with constant speed. In general, the BLDC motor is controlled by vector control method. If it could be operated at over critical speed, the control scheme must be modified to flux-weakening control method. The external torque applied on the motor using flux-weakening control method could not be calculated by conventional torque equation because the demagnetizing current Id exists in the motor input current. In this paper, the commonly used flux-weakening control method is studied and the modified torque estimation scheme is suggested. The estimation scheme has been verified by the simulations and experimental results.

  • BLDC motor is widely used as a servo motor due to high efficiency, high power density, low inertia, and low maintenance. However, BLDC motor generally needs position and velocity sensors to control actuation system. Usually, analog tachometers and encoders have been used for velocity feedback sensors. However, using these types of sensors have problems such as the cost, space, and malfunction. So, This paper is to propose a new velocity measurement method using linear hall-effect and enhanced differentiator for BLDC motor. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed method, several simulations and experiments are performed. It is shown that the proposed velocity measurement method can satisfy the requirements without using of velocity sensor.

선외기 구동을 위한 BLDC 전기모터 개발 (Develop of BLDC Electric Motor for Outboard Motor Drive)

  • This paper tried to develop a BLDC electric motor securing the 800 W-level watertight structure for driving the outboard motor. For this purpose, this paper developed a high-efficient controller-integrating BLDC electric motor system for underwater propulsion and designed and developed a triple watertight structure. Besides, this study developed a outboard motor integrating motor, propeller and controller based on the production of a controller for BLDC motor which can the speed control by selecting low-voltage, high-current power element. The characteristics of developed outboard motor were 24 V input voltage, over 800 W motor output, and max. 3,000 rpm motor, and 84.9% motor efficiency, and the developed outboard motor could secure the watertight structure in 5 m in water depth.

최소한의 홀센서를 이용한 BLDC모터 위치 정보 습득 방법과 활용에 관한 연구 (Studies on the BLDC motor control method and application using the minimum Hall sensors.)

  • 속도의 가변이 많지 않은 모터 application에서는 벡터 제어보다 홀센서를 사용한 BLDC제어를 주로 사용하고 있다. 하지만 기본적으로 홀센서의 기구적인 취약점으로 인하여 BLDC 제어에 문제점이 발생하는 현상을 확인할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 BLDC전동기 구동에 필요한 3개의 홀센서를 이용한 전동기 구동방식에서 하나의 홀센서를 이용하여 회전자의 위치를 추정하는 방법에 대해 제안하였다. 이러한 방식을 통해 홀센서의 취약 부분인 열에 의해 손상되는 경우나 기구적으로 위치오차를 가지고 있는 경우에도 정상적으로 위치정보를 습득할 수 있도록 하여 정상적인 BLDC제어를 할 수 있도록 하는 방안을 제안하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 y결선 된 7상 BLDC 전동기의 최대 효율 제어를 위한 새로운 권선 여자 방식을 제안한다. 다상 BLDC 전동기의 기본동작은 N상 (N-1)여자 방식이다. 하지만 여자되는 권선수를 감소시켜도 동작이 가능하다. 수중 추진 시스템의 동일한 부하 조건에서 다상 BLDC 전동기는 여자되는 권선수에 따라 발생하는 손실이 다르기 때문에 최대 효율 제어를 위해서는 여자되는 권선의 수를 조정해야 한다. 전동기의 동손과 인버터 시스템의 전기적인 손실은 기존의 논문과 IGBT 제조사의 애플리케이션 노트를 활용하여 계산이 가능하다. 따라서 동일한 부하조건에서 다상 BLDC 전동기의 여자되는 권선수에 대한 전기적인 손실과 전동기의 동손을 분석하고 최대 효율 운전을 위한 새로운 권선 여자 방식을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 검증하였다.

  • The electrical curtain is an electronic product which is most suitable for the sphere of intelligent home network. It provides the basic feature of intelligent home network such as the followings; various functions, powerful control. It also becomes the ideal technology with inexpensive power-line protocol, energy saving and solar power generation. Generally it is a suitable motor for BLDC to move the electrical curtain, because it provides the maintenance without difficulty, long-lived use with good efficiency. On this paper, we proposed the BLDC motor controller desinged by CDM(Coefficient Diagram Method) and evaluated its performance with a simulation of the plant, designed the electrical curtain using BLDC motor and powe-line protocol.

  • This paper describe a control scheme for direct torque control of BLDC Motor. The proposed Luenberger Observer scheme calculate flux errors in order to control the torque and flux more correctly. This proposed control scheme has not the requirement of a separate current regulator and proportional-integral (PI) control of the flux and torque, there by improving transient performance and also has the advantage of less torque ripple in steady state with a fixed switching period. The effect of proposed method has been proven by simulations.

  • It is very difficult to control a motor and apply a mathematical algorism using regular micro controller. However we can embody a program using the graphic language faster and easier than using another language and conveniently compose the plate based on a PC through the DAQ board included AD and DA converter. In addition, The controllable system is made due to GUI program. I verified appropriateness PI control and determining a speed of BLDC motor which is nomally used through this program.

Serial Communication-Based Fault Diagnosis of a BLDC Motor Using Bayes Classifier

  • This paper presents a serial communication based fault diagnosis scheme for a brushless DC (BLDC) motor using parameter estimation and Bayes classifier. The presented scheme consists of a smart network board, and a fault detection and isolation (FDI) master. The smart network board is installed near the BLDC motor drive system to acquire motor data and transmit motor data to the FDI-master via serial communication channel. The FDI-master estimates BLDC motor resistance to detect symptom of faults, and assign symptom to fault type using Bayes classifier. In this scheme, since communication time delay has a serious effect on performance, periodic and fixed communication protocol is designed. Hence, the delay time is priory known. By experiment result, presented scheme was verified.

소형 BLDCM 드라이브의 최적 전류제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on Optimal Current Control Method for Small BLDC Motor Drive)

  • This paper proposed a optimal current control method to improve efficiency of BLDC motors. The aim of the proposed method is to use the maximum torque operating method by increasing the effective voltage at the maximum torque point unlike existing SPM operating method. The proposed method is based on existing IPM maximum torque operating method grafting onto a square wave operating of SPM motors. As the method of increasing the effective output voltage from inverter using the maximum torque point, the proposed method is to improve efficiency of BLDC motors using the same amount of the existing current effectively. For this method, the maximum torque point is carried out by FEA and analysis of magnetic flux vector. In this paper, the prototype of general-purpose BLDC drive is manufactured and the performance characteristic and validity are verified.
