단판 적층성형 학생용 책상.의자의 제조적성 (Feasibility of Manufacturing Desk and Chair with Curved Veneer Lamination)

  • As physical condition of students improves, there is a need to develop human body-friendly desk and chair for students. In this study, desks and chairs were manufactured with curved veneer lamination under high frequency heating and pressing, using ten wood species such as Japanese red pine, Korean pine, pitch pine, Japanese larch, yellow poplar, black locust, oak, radiata pine, beech, and birch. The performance of these products were evaluated. The results obtained were summarized as follows; With high frequency heating, the turned lamination of veneers with full size sheet ($3{\times}6\;feet$) prepared by rotary lathe peeling was successfully applied for making the members of desk top, leg frames of desk and chair. Bending strengths of desk tops were relatively greater for yellow poplar, black locust and red pine, which were similar to those of beech and birch. Bending strengths of desk legs were classified into greater species group (red pine, yellow poplar, larch) and lower species group (radiata pine, Korean pine, pitch pine). Compressive strengths of chair legs in parallel direction to the lamination were greater in black locust and larch. On the other hand, differences between outer and inner gap at the top and drawer bottom of desk top were rather larger for the laminations of birch and beech, and less for those of yellow poplar and pitch pine, showing greater stability of open drawer space. In results, yellow poplar, larch, pitch pine and red pine showed good appearance and strength properties at the curved veneer lamination. Accordingly, it was believed that these domestic woods were able to substitute for birch which was being imported for the use of veneer-laminates type furniture.

염색집성목을 이용한 목 가구 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Wooden Furniture Used with Dyed-Glued Laminated Wood)

  • In this study, I suggest dyed-Glued laminated woods by using birch woods which are relatively cheaper than others. Since the dyed-Glued laminated woods which have the various colors to satisfy people's tastes and the dignified grains in the old woods enable us to product freely, these can provide us with stability of supply through replacing rare materials. The making wooden furniture designed with dyed-Glued laminated woods has these following characteristics. (1) This method which uses various colored woods can fulfill consumers' tastes through dyeing wooden plates, instead of using domestic woods which have limited colors-white, yellow and black. (2) Gathering wooden plates made by setting them into various frames enables us to get in large quantities of the materials with good grains, which we can only take from old woods. (3) Producing culture products using various colors and grains has enabled us to satisfy consumers and to create pro-environmental pieces. In conclusion, this study can be an alternative idea to forest resources which have been decreasing, and be an application method of using cheaper birch woods as well. Gathering and dyeing wooden plates might bring about the economic effect and be of much help to the expansion as furniture materials as well as interior ones.

목질계(木質系) Biomass의 이용(II) - 폭쇄재(爆碎材)의 산가수분해(酸加水分解)에 의한 당화(糖化) (Utilization of Ligno-cellulosic Biomass(II) - Saccharification of Exploded Wood by Acid Hydrolysis -)

  • This study was performed to obtain the optimal condition that hydrolyzed exploded pine(Pinus densiflora), oak(Quercus serrata) and birch wood(Betula platyphylla var. japonica) by using sulfuric acid. The results obtained were summarized as follows: In hydrolysis of wood meal with sulfuric acid. maximum yield of sugar appeared that pine was 12 hours. oak and birch were 24 hours with 65% sulfuric acid. Futhermore, when wood meal and exploded woods were hydrolyzed with 65% sulfuric acid at $23^{\circ}C$ for 6 hours(primary hydrolysis), diluted to 3% and hydrolyzed again at $100^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours(secondary hydrolysis), the maximum sugar yield of wood meals were 6 hours. those of higher steam exploded pine wood was 3 hours. of lower steam exploded oak and birch woods were 6 hours. The sugar analyses of exploded wood showed that the amount of arabinose and xylose residue rapidly decreased. content of nemicelluose decreased with increase of steaming time and pressure.

몽골 도르릭나르스 유적 토기의 접합에 사용한 물질 분석 (Analysis of adhesive material for joining pottery fragments excavated from Duurlig Nars, Mongolia)

  • AD 1세기로 추정되는 몽골 도르릭나르스 흉노 무덤에서 출토된 토기는 파단면을 따라 검은색의 유기물로 접합한 흔적이 남아있었다. 본 연구에서는 부착된 검은색 유기물의 특성을 확인하기 위해 GC-MS를 이용하여 성분분석 한 결과, 자작나무 껍질 타르의 특성 성분으로 알려진 루페올(Lupeol) 및 베툴린(Betulin) 등을 포함한 Triterpenoid 화합물이 확인되었다. 이를 통해 고대 몽골에서는 자작나무 껍질로 만든 타르를 사용하여 토기를 접합하였음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 앞으로 고고자료에 잔존하는 유기물에 대하여 체계적인 과학적 조사가 이루어진다면 과거의 생활 모습에 대한 중요한 정보를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

데이터 스트림 환경에서 임의 시간 구간에 대한 효율적 클러스터링 알고리즘 (Effective Time Interval Clustering Algorithm of Data Stream Environment)

  • 최근에 데이터의 양이 방대하게 늘어남에 따라 이러한 데이터의 처리를 위한 여러 연구들이 진행되어지고 있다. 이 중에 데이터들 간의 군집 관계를 파악하기 위하여 사용되는 클러스터링에 관한 연구가 많이 수행되었는데, 이중 BIRCH는 대용량의 데이터를 처리하는데 있어서 적합한 모델로 제시되고 있다. 하지만 BIRCH는 데이터 스트림 환경에서 클러스터링은 효과적이지 못한 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문은 데이터 스트림 환경에서 과거의 임의 시간구간에 대한 클러스터링을 수행하는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위하여 CF-트리를 일정 시간 마다 생성 및 저장하고 이를 이용하여 사용자가 원하는 시간 구간에 대해 동안의 클러스터링을 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 임의 시간구간에 대한 효율적인 클러스터링을 위해 기존의 CF-트리 노드 구조에 추가 데이터를 사용하는 $CF^{\delta}$-트리를 제안한다. 그리고 ${\delta}$에 대한 연구를 통해, 근사적 접근법을 제안하였다.

자작나무수피로부터 Betulin의 단리 (Isolation of Betulin from the bark of Betula platyphylla)

  • 자작나무 수피를 일반적으로 백화피라하며 한방에서는 이뇨ㆍ진통ㆍ해열에 쓰이고 있다. 이 수피의 화학성분이 주로 Betulin으로 되어 있다는 보고에 따라 한국산 자작나무 수피로부터 Betulin과 그 관련화합물을 단리동정하여 항산화작용, 항HIV성을 알아내기 위하여 본 연구를 실시하였다. 실험 결과 betulin의 수율이 6.9%로 우리나라에서는 처음으로 다량 단리하였으며, 에틸아세트 용성에서 3,4-dihydrobenzoic acid룰 단리하였다. 이후 betulin 관련 유도체를 합성제조하여 각종 실험 시료로써 활용하고자 한다.

자개와 자작나무합판의 특성을 적용한 가구디자인 연구 (A Study on the Furniture Design Applied with the Characteristic of Mother-of-pearl and Birch plywood)

  • The purpose of this research is to provide new direction on the field of the furniture design and to establish the identity of Korean furniture design as the flow of craft's juxtapose mixture era where it mix and match Korean traditional craft style materials with the modern furniture design. In other words, it is intended to create new furniture design and propose beautiful Korean luxury furniture design based on the precious unique culture with the traditional craft style, juxtaposition of modern furniture, and reinterpretation. It should grant artistic values that can satisfy consumers having various tastes and scarcity values, plus it should put out aesthetic and creative expressions in furniture design putting into the beautiful traditional craft form values. Furthermore, it is required to create new design through values and spirit, materials, techniques, forms, pattern, and usages by interacting, coordinating, and combining tradition and modern East and West, plus craft and design.

전건법(全乾法)에 의(依)한 목재(木材)의 함수율추정(含水率推定) (Estimation of Moisture Content for Wood by Oven Dry Method)

  • This experiment was carried out to determine the drying time from green to oven dry and estimate the moisture content of wood, such as red lauan (Shorea Spp.), Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii), Birch (Betula platyphylla), and oak (Quercus aliena), at various thickness, paralleled to fiber, of specimen for M.C. by oven dry method (100-105$^{\circ}C$). The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The drying time from green to oven dry decreases as the thickness of specimen for M.C. becomes to be thined, and that time at 10mm thickness are 14 hrs, for birch wood and 24 hrs, for oak wood. 2. The relative formulae between thickness (X) of specimen for M.C. and drying lime (Y) from 12% to oven dry are showed in Fig. 3. 3. The M.C. based on the weight of specimen for M.C. at t% can be obtained from the formula (2), and the drying time to 1% are shorter than that time to oven dry by approximately three times.

물박달나무를 이용한 자작나무버섯의 원목재배 (Log Cultivation of the Birch Fungus Piptoporus betulinus using Betula davurica)

  • 자작나무버섯은 자작나무류 수종에 발생하는 버섯으로 상업적 가치가 있는 것으로 판단되나, 우리나라에서는 매우 드물게 발생하고 있어 물박달나무를 이용하여 원목재배를 시도하였다. 자작나무버섯은 4월에 균 접종 후 2년차의 8윌초에 버섯을 형성하여 10월에 성숙하였다. 버섯은 골목 1개당 1개 또는 2개 발생하여 생중량 $212{\sim}1,298\;g$을 수확하였다. 그래서 자작나무버섯의 원목재배는 자실체 대량 생산이 가능하며 버섯을 이용한 새로운 연구가 기대된다.
