  • In this paper, web based monitoring systems are implemented for multi-axis force control systems of an intelligent robot. Linux operating systems are ported to an embedded system which Include a Xscale processor to implement a web based monitoring system. A device driver is developed to receive data from multi-axis force sensors of intelligent robots. To control this device driver, a socket program for Labview is also developed.

  • In this study, we construct timelike ruled surfaces whose Disteli-axis is constant in Minkowski 3-space 𝔼31. Then we attain a general system characterizing these surfaces, and also give necessary and sufficient conditions for a timelike ruled surface to get a constant Disteli-axis.

  • We prepared ZnO thin film with Facing Targets Sputtering system that can deposit thin film in plasma-free situation and change the deposition condition in wide range. And prepared thin films c-axis orientation and grain size were analyzed by XRD(x-ray dffractometer). In the results, we suggest that FTS system is very suitable to preparing high quality ZnO thin film with good c-axis orientation.

  • Medial axis transformation is an important concept used in many engineering applications. We propose a new approach to medial axis transformation of 2D objects with smooth boundary. Our approach differs from the traditional ones: we construct the medial axis starting from the inside points, while the previous algorithms started from the boundary points. As a result, previous algorithms are highly sensitive to the small irregularities of the object's boundary curve, while our approach is robust.

  • 본 연구는 수평축(horizontal axis) 풍력 터빈에 의해서 수직축 발전기를 운전하는 구조 및 그 운전 방식에 관한 것으로서 바람에 의해 수평축 터빈 로터로 입력된 회전력을 기계적으로 두 개의 수직축 회전 성분으로 변환하여 이들로부터 전기 에너지를 얻어내고 필요에 따라 터빈 날개가 바람이 부는 방향을 향하도록 yaw-axis 제어를 하는 기술에 관한 것이다.

A Method for Evaluation of Mechanical Accuracy of a Teletherapy Machine Using Beam Directions (방사선 진행방향을 이용한 원격치료장치의 기계적 정확성 평가방법)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this paper are to develop a theoretical basis that the beam directions should be considered when the mechanical accuracy of teletherapy machine is evaluated by the star pattern test, to develop methods using asymmetric field in length to simulate beam direction for the case that beam direction does not appear on film. Method: In evaluating mechanical rotational accuracy of the gantry of teletherapy unit by the star pattern test, the direction of radiation beams was considered. A star pattern using some narrow beams was made. Density profiles at 10cm far from estimated gantry axis on the star pattern were measured using an optical densitometer. On each profile, one coordimate of a beam axis was determined. A pair of coordinates on a beam axis form an equation of the axis. Assume that a unit vector equation omitted is with same direction as radiation beam and a vector equation omitted is a vector directing to the beam axis from the estimated gantry axis. Then, a vector product equation omitted ${\times}$ equation omitted is an area vector of which the absolute value is equal to the distance from the estimated gantry axis to the beam axis. The coordinate of gantry axis was obtained by using least-square method for the area vectors relative to the average of whole area vectors. For the axis, the maximum of absolute value of area vectors would be an accuracy of the gantry rotation axis. For the evaluation of mechanical accuracies of collimator and couch axes for which beam direction could not be depicted on a star pattern test film, narrow beams asymmetric in field length was used to simulate beam direction. Result: For a star test pattern to evaluate the mechanical accuracy of rotational axes of a telectherapy machine, the result considering beam direction was different from that ignoring beam direction. For the evaluation of mechanical accuracies of collimator and couch axes by means of a star pattern test, narrow asymmetric beams could simulate beam direction. Conclusion: When a star pattern test is used to evaluate the mechanical accuracy of a teletherapy unit, beam direction must be considered or simulated, and quantitatively evaluated.

OCCLUSAL ANALYSIS OF PATIENTS WITH TEMPOROMANDIBULAR DYSFUNCTION BY USE OF T-SCAN SYSTEM (T-Scan system을 이용한 측두하악 장애 환자의 교합 분석에 관한 연구)

  • Fifteen dental college students of Chosun University without the abnormal occlusion, the history and symptom of temporomandibular dysfunction(TMD), and who had all permanent teeth except third molar and the fifteen moderate group and the fifteen severe group classified according to Helkimo's dysfunction index among patients on the basis of the symptom of TMD were selected. The occlusal contact, occlusal force and occlusal interference in eccentric movement was studied and analyzed using T-Scan system. The result were as follows : 1. The TLR centering around midsagittal axis was located at $1.42{\pm}0.82mm$ in control group, $3.36{\pm}1.45mm$ in severe group, and as TMD was heavier, occlusal contact was located at the farther point from midsagittal axis. 2. The PLR from the first contact to the fifth contact centering around midsagittal axis was located at $1.73{\pm}1.78mm$ in control group, $3.36{\pm}1.41mm$ in moderate group, and $5.39{\pm}4.32mm$ in severe group, and as TMD was heavier, occlusal contact was located at the farther point from midsgittal axis. 3. The TFB, PFB, RFB and LFB of occlusal contact centering around incisal axis had no significant difference statistically among control group, moderate group, and severe group, and it was located at first molar. 4.The LF and RF was smaller in TMD group than in control group. 5. The LR moment of occlusal force centering around midsagittal axis was located at $178.51{\pm}139.81N.mm$ in control group, $466.25{\pm}296.47N.mm$ in moderate group, and $749.18{\pm}588.18N.mm$ in severe group. And as TMD was heavier, it was located at the farther point from midsagittal axis. 6. The RL and LL of occlusal force centering around incisal axis had not-significance statistically among control group, moderate group, and severe group, and it was at the first molar. 7. The number of occlusal interference of the eccentric movement was increased in the patients of TMD.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the status of eyesight according to the change of astigmatism axis in myopic astigmatism and to minimize errors in making astigmatic glasses based on accurate optometry and prescription. The subjects were 93 males and females(186 eyes) who have myopic astigmatism without any ocular disease or systemic disease. We performed comparative analysis on the status of visual acuity according to the change of astigmatism axis to 5, 10 and 15 degree in corrected eyesight 1.0. The direct astigmatism was the most common astigmatism type among the 186 eyes. After all subjects were perfectly corrected into 1.0, the change of astigmatism axis affected eyesight; The results suggested that the more change was made in astigmatism axis, the worse their eyesight would become. The main astigmatism type was changed from direct astigmatism to inverse astigmatism as age increased. The change of the astigmatism axis resulted in failing of corrected eyesight. Therefore, the convergence of examination and correction for astigmatism strength and axis is necessary when conducting refraction inspection for astigmatism.

Effect of Rubber Damper of Flywheel on the Vibration of Diesel Engine (플라이휠의 고무댐퍼가 기관(機關)의 진동(振動)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • Data acquisition system and computer program developed in this study could be well used in engine vibration analysis. The system and program developed were also operated to be able to control measuring interval, number of channels, number of data. The flywheel was specially studied to provide the proper weight with rubber damper for the engine design at low level of vibration. This study was conducted to obtain basic data which affect the engine vibration. The experiment of this study was performed on original weight flywheel, weight-reduced flywheel, weight-reduced and rubber-coated flywheel, weight-reduced and damper-attached flywheel. Avarage of peak value, maximum vibration, power spectrum density based on FFT analysis are major factors of this experiment. Results were obtained as follows : 1. When rubber was inserted in the flywheel rim of which weight was reduced from 32.2kgf to 24.4 kgf, maximum vibration of the engine was decreased 48.3% at X axis, 35.5% at Y axis and 34.6% at Z axis in comparison with the flywheel of original weight. 2. When the flywheel of rubber damper was compared with the original flywheel, the average of absolute vibration for rubber damped flywheel was decreased at X, Y, Z axis and especially its decreasing rate was so high at X-axis comparing with the other flywheel, which implied that rubber damper was very useful to reducing the vibration of the engine at X axis. 3. Hysteresis losses of X, Y, Z axis were greatly decreased in the flywheel with rubber damper on rim. 4. Damped oscillation effect on X and Y axis vibration above average peak vibration by the flywheel of rubber damper on rim was larger than those by the other flywheels. 5. Power spectrums of vibration at real and imaginery part were bi-mode type. The vibration frequency of rubber dampered flywheel which weight is decreased was slightly increased as compared with original flywheel.
