설계 및 가공공정계획 의 전산자동화 에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Computer Aided Design and Process Planning)

  • 본 논문에서는 미소한 비대칭 요소를 갖는 축대칭 셸구조물(종형구조물 또는 용접된 압력용기등)의 전산기 이용 도면입력/수정/출력, 체적특성치의 자동결정, 근사 고속 유한요소해석 및 출력을 시각화하는 일관 작업을 수행할 수 있는 전산기이용설계 알고리즘을 개발하고 생산가공에 대한 공리적 접근방법을 전산화하는 전산기이용 공정 계획 알고리즘에 대한 기초적인 연구를 행하였다.

동일 기능을 갖는 부품들이 포함된 제품의 부품 통합에 관한 연구 (Study of Parts Integration in Product Including Parts having Same Function)

  • 제품은 하나 이상의 부품으로 구성되어 있으며, 제품을 구성하는 부품들은 같은 기능을 갖는 경우도 있다. 부품통합설계 가설에 의하면 같은 기능을 하는 부품은 하나의 부품으로 통합될 수 있다. 제품을 구성하는 부품은 하나 이상의 기능을 가지고 있는 경우가 있으며, 부품의 형상 자체가 기능이 되거나 부품의 재질이 갖는 특성이 기능이 되기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 부품이 가지고 있는 기능을 정의하는 방법을 제시하고, 제시된 방법에 의하여 확인된 부품의 기능들 중에서 동일 기능을 갖는 부품을 통합하는 방법을 제시하였다. 또한 제시된 방법을 이용하여 종이에 구멍을 뚫는 3 공 천공기를 구성하는 부품들을 통합해 보았으며 그 결과는 공리적 설계를 만족하였다.

심해저 망간단괴 시험집광기의 근해역 집광성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of Deepsea Manganese Nodule Test Miner in Inshore Tests)

  • Inshore tests were performed in order to verify the design concept of deep sea manganese nodule miner at a site near Hupo at East Sea of Korea in June of 2009. Total mining tests of the test miner, named 'Minero$^{(R)}$', together with flexible hose, lifting pump and lifting hose were accomplished. In this study, the performances of three subsystems of testminer (vehicle, pick-up device, and launch-and-recovery device) were analyzed for feasibility assessment of self-propelled remotely controlled miner, and also to compile basic data for designing a pilotminer. Performances of the test miner were defined based on the Functional Requirements of Axiomatic Design. The inshore tests revealed that the test miner generally satisfies the functional performances. Feasibility assessment and reflection on results are discussed within.

  • Today, one of the most important objective in automobile development is to reduce the weight of automobile . The eventual depletion of petroleum and environmental regulations brought considerable emphasis to this area on increasing fuel efficiency. Conventional intake air-fuel system is very heavy because it is composed of numerous parts. The bulky size caused increase in the amount of metal being used to build automobile chassis and this became a serious weight problem. The size also caused difficulties in optimization of fuel supply system which in turn decreased engine efficiency. Currently , there are efforts to integrate several intake system modules into one. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the directions of such development.

공리적 설계를 이용한 초미세 발포 공정 설계

  • There is a great demand for reducing the amount of material used in mass-produced plastics parts, for material cost constitutes up to 75% of the total production cost. Plastics do not easily decay which causes environmental problem. Furthermore, material reduction therefore decreases the amount of oil needed for the manufacture of plastics and thus help conserve this natural resource. Therefore, microcellular foamed plastics(MCPs) was developed at MIT to solve these problem alternation 1980's. Until now, however, microcellular foaming process not designed systematically because the key factors governing the process were not clear. The goal of this research is to obtain the optimal design of the microcellular plastics by using axiomatic approach.

휴대전화 초기설계에서 형태인자 선정에 대한 감성공학 평가방법론 (Emotion and Sensibility Engineering Appraisal Methodology for Selecting FormFactor in Early Mobile Phone Design)

  • 휴대전화 개발의 기획 단계에서 가장 중요한 고려사항 중 하나는 제품의 전략과 목적에 맞는 적절한 형태인자의 선정이며 현재까지는 주로 직관적이고 정성적인 방법을 사용하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 형태인자 선정의 체계적이고, 합리적 방안을 제시하고자, 감성 형용사를 이용하는 평가 방법론을 제안하였다. 우선 공리설계를 사용하여 개념적 형태인자를 검증하고, 검증된 형태인자의 설계파라미터에 감성형용사를 그룹핑 한다. 그 후 디자이너에게 선정된 형태인자와 그룹화된 감성형용사를 제시하면, 디자이너는 예비 디자인을 수행하고, 그 디자인은 설문조사를 통해 평가 및 분석된다. 이와 같은 일련의 프로세스의 적용결과, 공리설계와 감성공학(감성형용사)의 결합으로 제품의 목적에 적합한 형태인자 디자인을 선정할 수 있었으며 향후 휴대전화 개발에 있어 형태인자 이외의 중요 인자의 선정에도 확대 적용할 수 있는 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

연료전지 자동차용 흡기 소음기의 설계 변수 최적화에 관한 연구 (Optimization of the multi-chamber perforated muffler for the air processing unit of the fuel cell electric vehicle)

  • Fuel cells convert a fuel together with oxygen in a highly efficient electrochemical reaction to electricity and water. Since the electrochemical reaction in the fuel cell stack dose not generate any noise, Fuel cell systems are expected to operated much quieter than combustion engines. However, the tonal noise and the broad band noise caused by a centrifugal compressor and an electric motor cause which is required to feed the ambient air to the cathode of the fuel cell stack with high pressure. In this study, the multi-camber perforated muffler is used to reduce noise. We propose optimized muffler model using an axiomatic design method that optimizes the parameters of perforated muffler while keeping the volume of muffler minimized.

  • The design process must be planned carefully and executed systematically in order to support designers who are faced with many engineering design problems. In particular, conceptual design stage is very important than other stages such as detailed design or manufacturing stage on designing engineering systems. When designers are faced contradictory situation in task, conceptual design usually requires inventive thinking which depends on their creativity. And in order to develop good concepts, it is necessary to resolve contradictory situations during conceptual design. This paper presents a structure of systematic conceptual design process for designing engineering systems. And we developed the automatic feeding screw device using the proposed design process structure.

강건성 지수를 이용한 강건설계 기법의 개발 (Development of a Robust Design Process Using a Robustness Index)

  • Design goal is to find the one that has the highest probability of success and the smallest variation. A robustness index has been proposed to satisfy these conditions. The two-step optimization process of the target problem requires a scaling factor. The search process of a scaling factor is replaced with the making of the decoupled design between the mean and the standard deviation. The decoupled design matrix is formed from the sensitivity or the sum of squares. After establishing the design matrix, the robust design process has a new three-step one. The first is ″reduce variability,″ the second is ″make the candidate designs that satisfy constraints and move the mean on the target,″ and the final is ″select the best robust design using the proposed robustness index.″ The robust design process is verified by three examples and the results using the robustness index are compared with those of other indices.

독립공리를 이용한 메인 스타팅 밸브의 분석 및 설계 (Analysis and Design of a Main Starting Valve Using Independence Axiom)

  • Main starting valve is one of the main parts in the control system of diesel engines, purposed for starting main engines. It is composed of ball valve, check valve, actuator, etc. The design axioms provide a general framework for design methodology. Two axioms are independence axiom and information axiom. These axioms can be applied to all design process in a general way. The first axiom is introduced to analyze and evaluate the design of a main starting valve. The design parameters(DPS) are determined sequentially by considering the independence axiom. For the structural design of a main starting valve, the strength is calculated by using finite element method. In addition, the strength of its actuator piston is evaluated.
