  • This study was conducted to investigate that bus information was used as an information of travel speed. To determine the travel speed on the road, bus information and the information collected from the point detector and the interval detection installed were compared. If bus information has the function of traffic information detector, can provide the travel speed information to road users. To this end, the model of recognizing the traffic patterns is necessary. This study used simple moving-average method, simple exponential smoothing method, Double moving average method, Double exponential smoothing method, ARIMA(Autoregressive integrated moving average model) as the existing methods rather than new approach methods. This study suggested the possibility to replace bus information system into other information collection system.

  • In the anchovy boat seine fishing boat, it is necessary to select other aquatic organisms other than live anchovies, which are the target species of catch. By making a rotating roller sorter using hydraulic pressure, the anchovy sorting amount was compared and the sorting accuracy of the rotary roller sorter, and the discharge speed of butter fish and jerry fish according to the number of roller revolutions were analyzed. The rotating roller sorter increases the weight of the sorted raw anchovy by 54%, 74% and 91.5% compared to the round bar fixed type, so it can reduce the required time by an average of 73.2%. As a result of converting the sorting accuracy to the weight of pure anchovies excluding the catch weight, the round bar fixed type was 89%; however, the average of the rotating roller sorter was 97.7%. Thus, the sorting accuracy of the rotary roller sorter was further improved by about 8.7%. The roller speed moved 7% at 300 rpm, 7.5% at 600 rpm, and 16% at 900 rpm, so butter fish were discharged overboard 10% faster than jelly fish on average. In addition, the average feed speed of butter fish and jelly fish is 1,400 mm/s when the roller rotation speed is 300 rpm, 1,480 mm/s at 600 rpm, and 1,850 mm/s at 900 rpm. A Φ58 mm roller rotates once it moved about 1.23 mm. In the future, a follow-up study of quantitative evaluation is needed targeting more non-target fish species of anchovy boat seine.

  • This paper proposes a control method of induction machine at a low speed range. When an encoder is used for speed detection, we usually obtain speed information from the increased pulse number. At low speed range, however, we can get only average speed between encoder pulses and it makes speed controller unstable. By using a disturbance observer and torque current, it is possible to estimate accurate speed information. The simulation and experiment show that the stable speed control is performed at a low speed with proposed algorithm.

  • To determine the wind turbine class in the offshore of the Korean Peninsula, the reference wind speed for a 50-y return period at the hub height of a wind turbine was estimated using the reanalysis data sets. The most recent reanalysis data, ERA5, showed the highest correlation coefficient (R) of 0.82 with the wind speed measured by the Southwest offshore meteorological tower. However, most of the reanaysis data sets except CFSR underestimated the annual maximum wind speed. The gust factor of converting the 1 h-average into the 10 min-average wind speed was 1.03, which is the same as the WMO reference, using several meteorological towers and lidar measurements. Because the period, frequency, and path of typhoons invading the Korean Peninsula has been changing owing to the climate effect, significant differences occurred in the estimation of the extreme wind speed. Depending on the past data period and length, the extreme wind speed differed by more than 30% and the extreme wind speed decreased as the data period became longer. Finally, a reference wind speed map around the Korean Peninsula was drawn using the data of the last 10 years at the general hub-height of 100 m above the sea level.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the secondary tasks such as sending text message(STM) and searching navigation(SN) on vehicle speed and distance during driving and brake response time during unexpected situation using a driving simulator. The participants included 19 college students; 9 males aged $25.2{\pm}1.0$ with $2.4{\pm}2.0years$ of driving experiences and 10 females aged $21.4{\pm}0.5$ with $1.3{\pm}0.5years$ of driving experiences. All subjects were instructed to keep a certain distance(30m) from the car ahead and a constant speed(100km/h). Average speed and average following distance were measured during 10 seconds before unexpected situation. Also, brake response time after unexpected situation was measured. Average speed was more decreased and average following distance was more increased during the driving with secondary tasks than driving only. Male maintained the assigned speed and distance better than female. The brake response time was faster during driving only than the driving with secondary tasks. And the brake response time of male was shorter than that of female.

  • In this paper, we propose a path loss model with the multiple antennas and doppler shift for high speed railroad communication. Path loss model is very important in order to design consider diverse characteristic in high-speed train communication. Currently wireless communication systems use the multiple antennas in order to improve the channel capacity or diversity gain. However, until recently, many researches on path loss model only consider geographical environment between the transmitter and the receiver. There is no study about path loss model considering diversity effect and doppler shift. In order to make average residuals considering doppler shift we use tuned free space path loss model which is utilized for measurement results at high speed railroad. The environment of high speed rail is mostly at viaduct and flatland over than 50 percent. And in order to make average residuals considering multiple antenna we use theoretical estimation of diversity gain with MRC scheme. proposed model predict loss of received signal by estimating average residuals between diversity effect and doppler shift.

  • A new control method for precision robust speed control of a PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) using load torque observer is presented. Using this system, we can more precisely evacuate of vestibular function. Until now a rotating chair system, so called 2D-stimulator, which has vertical rotate axis is used to make dizziness. However, an inclined rotating chair system witch is called 3D-stimulator is needed to obtain the precise dizziness data. This 3D-stimulator include unbalanced load caused by unbalanced center of mass. In this case, new compensation method is considered to obtain robust speed control using load torque observer. To reduce the effect of this disturbance, we can use dead-beat observer that has high gain. The application of the load to torque observer is published in for position control. However, there is a problem of using speed information such as amplifying effect of noise. Therefore, we can reduce a noise effect by moving average process. The experimental results are depicted in this paper to show the effect of this proposed algorithm.

  • The study was conducted to improve the efficiency of the test and to reduce the exposure dose of patients and operators by analyzing the difference in the moving speed of Lipiodol according to the temperature during lymphography. The device for injecting Lipiodol at a constant pressure was self-made, and after inserting Lipiodol into the Connecting Tube, the moving speed of the contrast agent was photographed at temperatures of 26℃, 36℃, and 46℃ using a heat transfer device. Lipiodol movement time from the Support Catheter to 20cm was measured and analyzed, and statistical significance was confirmed. In the 46℃ environment, the average moving time was 11 seconds, at 36℃ the average was 13 seconds, and at 26℃ the average was 17 seconds. Lipiodol showed a significant difference in moving time with increasing temperature (p<.001), and it was confirmed that the higher the temperature, the faster the moving speed. In the case of lymphangiography, when heated to a certain temperature (46 degrees) rather than injecting Lipiodol at room temperature, the injection speed can be increased and the speed of movement in the lymphatic vessel can be improved.

  • This study, regarding curved channel, was performed to compare and analyze hydraulic characteristics and the speed of water and water level for left bank and right bank through hydraulic model experiments and numerical analysis. Real channels that had characteristics of curved channel were selected as objectives. In order to easily operate one and two dimensional numerical analysis and comparison for total 2.4Km model channel, measuring point was set up as 200m. HEC-RAS model was applied as one dimensional numerical analysis program and SMS model was used as two dimensional numerical analysis program. In respect of speed of water, the average speed of water for right bank recorded 8.33m/s in a model experiment and 3.08m/s, 8.57m/s were average speed of water for right bank in one dimensional and two dimensional numerical analysis. The average speed of water of two dimensional numerical analysis was quite similar to that of model experiments. Also, as for water level, maximum observational errors between one and two dimensional numerical analysis for right and left bank of model experiments were 0.66m, 0.84m and 0.28m, 0.48m for each. It was found that two dimensional numerical analysis had a similar result to hydraulic model experiments. Accordingly, from the result of this study, two dimensional numerical analysis should be used rather than one dimensional numerical analysis, when numerical analysis for curved channel is conducted.
