차내 환기구 형상변화에 대한 연구 (A Study ono the Type-Change of Automotive Register)

  • Nowadays since the automobile is regarded as the third living space, comfortable conditions are required in the passenger compartment. The customer's concern on air-conditioning/heating, ventilation and demisting/defrosting performances has been much increased. Both ventilation and demisting /defrosting performances are directly influenced by register location, shape of regist guide vane, ventilation flow rate, air distribution , and air circulation pattern. Diffuse plume of air from the register is desirable not only to maintain comfort when the comfort when the comfortable condition has been satisfied but to improve demisting /defrosting performance. In this study, experimental and numerical investigation about the flow field of six different register vane types were carried out , respectively. The numerical analysis, based upon the $textsc{k}$-$\varepsilon$ turbulence model , was applied to the air flow field. The results show that the shape of register guide vane should be considered as an important design paramter.

자율주행 관련 특허의 자동차 부품 산업 내 기업 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 분석 (A Study on the Influence of Self-driving Patents on the Firm Performance in the Automotive Parts Industry)

  • Self-driving technology is changing the paradigm of automotive industry. Since it is imperative to converge this emerging technology with ICT and there is a time lag between securing this emerging technology and occurrence of firm performance, it is difficult to make decisions on technology development. This study investigates patent indicators to understand the impact of self-driving technology on performance of automotive parts companies. We analyze 611 of self-driving technology patents from 2000 to 2016 and the financial performance of 270 small and medium businesses that register the corresponding patents with consideration of up to four years of time lag. Our analysis results show that patents related to self-driving has a positive impact on asset growth of 2 years and sales growth of 3 years in terms of time lag. This study contributes to the literature by analyzing the impact of technology development on the firm performance in case of convergence of the automotive and ICT industries. Additionally, this study provides a role of patent in knowledge management planning through technology development as a practical implication.

Real-time Speed Limit Traffic Sign Detection System for Robust Automotive Environments

  • This paper describes a hardware-oriented algorithm and its conceptual implementation in a real-time speed limit traffic sign detection system on an automotive-oriented field-programmable gate array (FPGA). It solves the training and color dependence problems found in other research, which saw reduced recognition accuracy under unlearned conditions when color has changed. The algorithm is applicable to various platforms, such as color or grayscale cameras, high-resolution (4K) or low-resolution (VGA) cameras, and high-end or low-end FPGAs. It is also robust under various conditions, such as daytime, night time, and on rainy nights, and is adaptable to various countries' speed limit traffic sign systems. The speed limit traffic sign candidates on each grayscale video frame are detected through two simple computational stages using global luminosity and local pixel direction. Pipeline implementation using results-sharing on overlap, application of a RAM-based shift register, and optimization of scan window sizes results in a small but high-performance implementation. The proposed system matches the processing speed requirement for a 60 fps system. The speed limit traffic sign recognition system achieves better than 98% accuracy in detection and recognition, even under difficult conditions such as rainy nights, and is implementable on the low-end, low-cost Xilinx Zynq automotive Z7020 FPGA.

자동차용 강판의 MAG 용접시 최적용접조건 선정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prediction of the Optimal Welding Condition for Automotive Steel Sheets in MAG Welding Process)

  • The optimization of the welding parameters was studied to maximize the weldability and minimize the amount of spatter in the MAG welding of automotive steel sheets under different shielding gas composition ratio. JS-EFSC, JS-SPHC steel plates and Ar mixture gases were used as a substrate and shielding gas for welding respectively. The five welding parameters were selected through preliminary experiments and their effects on the weldability were analyzed. Experiments were performed using the Taguchi experimental method. As results, appropriate range for welding could be achieved. Amount of spatter in 80%Ar+20%$CO_2$ shielding gas was 20% of that of $CO_2$welding. Therefore, in terms of high productivity and welding cost, Ar mixture gas(80%Ar+20%$CO_2$) was recommended as a shielding gas for application of MAG process, indicating the low spatter and good weld quality.

소프트 에러 발생 시 자동 복구하는 이중 코어 지연 락스텝 프로세서의 설계 (Design of a Delayed Dual-Core Lock-Step Processor with Automatic Recovery in Soft Errors)

  • 본 논문에서는 차량 전자 시스템에서 소프트 에러와 공통 고장에 대응하기 위해 두 개의 코어를 지연 동작시킨 후 그 결과를 비교하는 D-DCLS(Delayed Dual Core Lock-Step) 프로세서를 설계하였다. D-DCLS는 어느 코어에서 에러가 발생했는지 알 수 없기 때문에 각 코어를 에러가 발생하기 이전 시점으로 되돌려야 하는데 파이프라인 스테이지 상의 모든 중간 계산값을 되돌리기 위해서는 복잡한 하드웨어 수정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이를 쉽게 구현하기 위해 분기 명령어가 실행될 때마다 모든 레지스터 값을 버퍼에 저장해 두었다가 에러가 발생하면 저장된 레지스터 값을 복구한 후 'BX LR' 명령어를 수행하여 해당 분기 시점으로 자동 복구하도록 하였다. 제안하는 D-DCLS 프로세서를 Verilog HDL로 설계하여 에러가 감지되었을 때 자동으로 복구한 후 정상 동작하는 것을 확인하였다.

메탄의 대향류 확산화염에 대한 AC 전기장의 영향 (Effect of AC Electric Fields on Counterflow Diffusion Flame of Methane)

  • 대향류 버너에서 질소로 희석시킨 메탄 연료의 확산화염에 대하여 AC 전기장을 인가하여 전압크기 및 주파수 변화에 의한 영향을 실험적으로 조사하였다. 그 결과, 임계주파수를 초과하는 AC 주파수 영역에서 안정한 확산화염이 나타났으며, 인가된 AC 전압크기의 증가에 따라 그 임계주파수는 증가하다가 약 35Hz 로 일정한 값을 보였다. 반면에, 임계주파수 미만의 AC 주파수 영역에서, 그 확산화염은 인가된 AC 주파수에 동기되어 진동하였다. 화염지역 내에 양이온들은 로렌츠 힘에 의하여 가속되고, 그 양이온과 중성자 간의 분자단위의 충돌에 의한 운동량의 전달에 의해 전체적인 유동장의 변화가 발생하는데, 이러한 이온풍의 효과에 의하여 화염의 진동 현상이 나타날 수 있다.
