충격력을 받는 발사대의 동역학적 해석 (Dynamic analysis of a launcher under impulsive forces)

  • The dynamic behaviors of a launcher under impulsive forces are analyzed. All the components of the system, ie ; chassis, turret, cage and suspension parts, are modeled as rigid. The dynamic analysis code, which is developed with the formulae describing the system equations of motion in terms of relative quantities, is used to carry out the analysis. The results show the dynamic responses of chassis and cage when the driving constraints are imposed on turret and cage.

  • The injection molding process is analyzed to get the information on the mold design parameters and the optimum process conditions for automotive plastic front fender. The gate position, runner size and cooling channel are determined by the estimation of the flow balance, packing time, uniform cooling and shrinkage and warpage in the injection molding analyses. The procedure can be used in the mold design in the early stage when developing plastic parts.

  • The behavior of the tepered leaf spring which nowadays is used on the automobile parts is studied to obtain the optimum design values by the stress analysis based on the tapered leaf spring model and the experiments to find the static stress, fatigue stress, and also car running stress. This study shows the clear conclusion of the stress distribution of spring assembly and dynamic behavior of the tapered leaf spring under the condition of the running rest at some conditioned roads.

  • The bracket tilt among automobile parts is weld parts which construct the column assembly bracket tilt of equipments and accurate dimension after welding is more essential than weldment strength. By the way, it is insufficient that systematic study about this parts which have an importance on welding deformation. The reason is that welding deformation is complex problem with shape, size, material of parts and welding sequence, conditions etc. For reduction and removal of welding deformation, therefore, it is necessary that the security of welding deformation data and systematic examination about equipment, costs, work environment, manufacturing process etc. It is all the better that the prediction of welding deformation using simulation of welding process by FEA is supplemented. In this study, the countermeasure for this welding deformation of bracket tilt is brought up through experimental inspection before the choice of the optimum welding conditions with minimum welding deformation by simulation of welding process.

  • 자동차 연료탱크는 크게 본체와 본체에 조립되는 부품들로 구성되어 있다. 본체에는 차량 주행시에 연료탱크에서 발생되는 증발가스를 배출하고, 연료가 외부로 유출되는 것을 방지하기 위한 여러 밸브들이 조립되어 있다. 하지만 이러한 밸브들은 연료 넘침에 주된 원인으로 알려져 있음에도 불구하고 현재 증발가스의 배출과 기구적인 위치만 고려하여 설계되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 밸브들의 기존기능을 유지하면서 연료 넘침을 최소화 시키기 위해 근사최적설계를 적용하였고, 다구치 방법을 통해 실제 실험에서 근사최적설계의 유용성을 보였다. 결과적으로 최적화된 밸브 위치를 통해 개발기간과 비용을 절감하였고, 연료 넘침 최소화를 통해 자동차의 신뢰성을 향상시켰다.

  • This paper is concerned with the light-weight design of a center-pillar assembly for the high-speed side impact of vehicle using advanced high strength steels(AHSS). Steel industries continuously promote the ULSAB-AVC project for applying AHSS to structural parts as an alternative way to improve the crashworthiness and the fuel efficiency because it has the superior strength compared to the conventional steel. In order to simulate deformation behavior of the center-pillar assembly, a simplified center-pillar model is developed and parts of that are subdivided employing tailor-welded blanks(TWB) in order to control the deformation shape of the center-pillar assembly. The thickness of each part which constitutes the simplified model is selected as a design parameter. Factorial design is carried out aiming at the application and configuration of AHSS to simplified side-impact analysis because it needs tremendous computing time to consider all combinations of parts. In optimization of the center-pillar, S-shaped deformation is targeted to guarantee the reduction of the injury level of a driver dummy in the crash test. The objective function is constructed so as to minimize the weight and lead to S-shape deformation mode. Optimization also includes the weight reduction comparing with the case using conventional steels. The result shows that the AHSS can be utilized effectively for minimization of the vehicle weight and induction of S-shaped deformation.

중소제조업체의 정보화 성숙도 지표 개발 및 성공요인 도출: 자동차 부품업체 사례 (A Study on the Indicators of Informatization Maturity Level and Critical Success Factors in Small and Medium Manufacturers: A Case of Automotive Parts Industry)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 우수 중소자동차부품업체의 정보화 사례를 통해 그들의 경험을 공유하고, 중소기업이 정보화를 추진할 때 활용할 수 있는 주요성공요인을 밝혀내어 자사의 정보화 수준을 스스로 평가할 수 있도록 가이드라인을 제공하는데 있다. 이를 위해 업무프로세스 영역별 정보화 성숙도 지표 및 정보화 성공요인에 관한 기존 연구 분석을 하였고 2002년도와 2003년도 중소기업정보화경영원에서 수행한 정보화 우수기업 발굴사업에서 선정된 7개의 정보화 우수 자동차 부품업체들을 대상으로 업무프로세스 영역별 정보화 성숙도 측정과 성공요인의 중요도를 평가하는 사례연구를 수행하였다. 6개 업무프로세스 영역별(개발, 생산계획, 구매, 생산, 주문처리 및 지원 프로세스)로 5단계의 정보화 성숙도 지표를 제시하여 자동차부품 업종에서 발굴된 정보화 우수 중소기업에 적용, 분석하여 시사점을 도출하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 정보시스템을 도입하려는 기업에게 적용 될 수 있을 것이다.

CAE 를 통한 하이브리드 용접 후 차체부품 변형예측 및 검증 (Prediction and Verification of the Twist Deformation of Automotive Structure Parts after Hybrid Welding Using CAE)

  • In recent years, laser-arc hybrid welding has begun to be adopted for assembly welding of automotive bodies and parts, because the hybrid welding process can weld lapped steel sheets having a larger gap than is possible with laser welding. In this paper, to predict the twist deformation by the hybrid welding when brackets are welded in B pillar of a passenger car, the residual stress using CAE is analyzed and the deformation result of CAE is compared with the measured deformation. First of all, after modeling heat source as intended to be expressed with laser-arc hybrid welding method, heat source fitting is done with welding conditions and a section of welding part obtained through specimen test. In case of heat source functions, laser used conical source and arc used double ellipsoid source. Through the local model analysis, elements which are located in the center of the model are selected. The elements are called WME(Welding Macro Element). This WME is extruded in the welding lines and welding phenomenon of complex parts is accomplished. The deformation amount after hybrid welding is got through a simulation, the validity of simulation is verified by measuring the panel and comparing with the simulation result.

자동차 신차의 실내에서 발생되는 휘발성유기화합물 분석 연구 (Analytical Studies on Volatile Organic Compounds from New Automotive Interior Parts)

  • 본 연구에서는 자동차 실내에서 발생되는 VOCs 성분 및 농도를 분석하기 위해 승용차와 RV차에 대해서 각각 15일, 30일, 45일, 60일 경과한 차량을 대상으로 시험하였다. 그 결과 TVOC는 승용차와 RV차 모두 기준치보다 2~8배 상회하였으며 승용차보다는 RV차량이 더 많이 검출되었다. 특히 톨루엔의 경우 30일 경과 후부터 급격히 감소되었으며 60일 경과 후에도 기준치보다 높게 검출되었다. 크실렌의 경우 45일 경과 후 기준치 이하로 검출됨을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과를 볼 때 자동차 내장부품의 무용제화 및 수성화 대체기술 개발이 시급함을 알 수 있었다. 아직 국제표준화 되어 있지 않은 VOCs의 시험방법표준화를 통하여 성분, 농도, 인체유해성을 충분히 분석하여 대체함으로써 친환경 자동차 생산에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

토션바 트렁크의 팝업량 산포 분석을 위한 해석모델 (Analytical Model for the Analysis of Pop-up Deviation of the Trunk Lid with Torsion Bar)

  • A four-link mechanism consisting of torsion bars is used for opening the trunk lid in most midsize sedans. When the weight of the lid is in equilibrium with the spring force exerted by torsion bars, the lid stops opening at a pop-up height. However, the actual pop-up height has large deviations from the specified height even with the same parts in the same car model, which leads to quality issues. Automotive manufacturers have experienced this deviation problem despite much effort to resolve it. In this research, we developed a multi-body dynamics model for the analysis of pop-up deviation of a trunk lid with torsion bars, which can simulate the actual pop-up motion of the trunk lid by considering kinematic constraints of the motion and friction forces in joints. We could also determine the most important factor that governs the pop-up height by sensitivity analysis of all parts. The developed system can be used for the analysis of other trunk lid systems to control the tolerance of parts.
