  • Log scaling which decides a quality grade of log is influence the price of log at the market. It is the one of important works at the field until now. So it remains using a ruler traditionally. This study evaluated the automating program through compared the automating program with using a ruler for log. The automating program used libraries of OpenCV concerning image processing algorithm to measure log diameter for scaling. In addition, it applies two panels of checkered pattern beside a pile of logs and tapes on the surface of a log diameter to find a correct value. We analyzed statistical mean difference of both log diameter and volume. In conclusion, the automating program after applying check panel and taping ins't different using a ruler. Therefore we need to considerate about applying it for improving Forest Administration.

  • Most of shoes manufacturing processes are not yet automated, which puts restrictions on the increase of productivity. Among them, adhesive application processes particularly are holding the most workers and working hours. In addition, its working conditions are very poor due to the toxicity of adhesive agents. In case of automating adhesive application processes by using robots, the robot teaching by playback is difficult to produce high productivity because the kinds of shoes to be taught mount up to several thousands. Therefore, it is essential to generate the robot working paths automatically according to the kind, the size, and the right and left of shoes, and also to teach them to the robot automatically. This study deals with automated adhesive spraying to shoe outsoles and uppers by using a robot, and develops the program to generate three-dimensional robot working paths off-line based on CAD data. First, the three-dimensional data of an outsole outline or an upper profiling line are extracted from the two-dimensional CAD drawing file or the three-dimensional scanner. Next, based on the extracted data and the nozzle conditions for adhesive spraying, a robot working path is generated automatically. This research work is the core in automating adhesive spraying processes, and will do much for increasing productivity of shoes manufacturing.

  • This paper describes study results on the development of an automatic program for generating surface-panel grid for the aircraft optimal design. The aerodynamic analysis is combined into a PIDO tool in conjunction with a number of programs in order to integrate processes for the optimal design. Due to design optimization's iterative feature, it may require lots of time and cost. To relieve this problem, cost-reduction of computation time for aerodynamic analysis is pursued by using the Panel-method, and reduction of grid generation time by automating surface panelling.

  • Many studies have focused on the optimal design of multi-stage forging molds. For optimal design progress, geometry parameters must be automatically modified, and the updated analysis file delivered. However, existing automation processes set and change parameters at the analysis input file stage, limiting them to simpler tasks like 2D shapes and basic process conditions (e.g., friction, elasticity), making it challenging to handle 3D asymmetric shapes. To address these limitations, an automated program was developed that modifies geometry directly in the CAD model, enabling the automation of complex 3D and asymmetrical shapes. In this process, a 3D mold is generated immediately after the drawing is input, automating the design of both the product and the mold without manual intervention. The program's effectiveness was demonstrated in the design and forging analysis of a multi-stage mold for M10 hex head bolts. This fully automated program reduced preprocessing time by approximately 6.7 times and successfully performed sensitivity analysis without manual input.

  • This paper presents the design of high speed processor for a sequence logic control using field programmable gate array(FPGA). The sequence logic controller is widely used for automating a variety of industrial plants. The FPGA designed by VHDL consists of program and data memory interface block, input and output block, instruction fetch and decoder block, register and ALU block, program counter block, debug control block respectively. Dedicated clock inputs in the FPGA were used for high speed execution, and also the program memory was separated from the data memory for high speed execution of the sequence instructions at 40 MHz clock. Therefore it was possible that sequence instructions could be operated at the same time during the instruction fetch cycle. In order to reduce the instruction decoding time and the interface time of the data memory interface, an instruction code size was implemented by 16 bits or 32 bits respectively. And the real time debug operation was implemented for easy debugging the designed processor. This FPGA was synthesized by pASIC 2 SpDE and Synplify-Lite synthesis tool of Quick Logic company. The final simulation for worst cases was successfully performed under a Verilog HDL simulation environment. And the FPGA programmed for an 84 pin PLCC package was applied to sequence control system with inputs and outputs of 256 points. The designed processor for the sequence logic was compared with the control system using the DSP(TM320C32-40MHz) and conventional PLC system. The designed processor for the sequence logic showed good performance.

  • Nuclear data (ND) sensitivity and uncertainty (S/U) quantification in shielding applications is performed using deterministic and probabilistic approaches. In this paper the validation of the newly developed deterministic program package ASUSD (ADVANTG + SUSD3D) is presented. ASUSD was developed with the aim of automating the process of ND S/U while retaining the computational efficiency of the deterministic approach to ND S/U analysis. The paper includes a detailed description of each of the programs contained within ASUSD, the computational workflow and validation results. ASUSD was validated on two shielding benchmark experiments from the Shielding Integral Benchmark Archive and Database (SINBAD) - the fission relevant ASPIS Iron 88 experiment and the fusion relevant Frascati Neutron Generator (FNG) Helium Cooled Pebble Bed (HCPB) Test Blanket Module (TBM) mock-up experiment. The validation process was performed in two stages. Firstly, the Denovo discrete ordinates transport solver was validated as a standalone solver. Secondly, the ASUSD program package as a whole was validated as a ND S/U analysis tool. Both stages of the validation process yielded excellent results, with a maximum difference of 17% in final uncertainties due to ND between ASUSD and the stochastic ND S/U approach. Based on these results, ASUSD has proven to be a user friendly and computationally efficient tool for deterministic ND S/U analysis of shielding geometries.

AXMEDIS(Automating Production of Cross Media Content for Multichannel Distribution) offer various digital broadcasting solution via AXMEDIS Framework for supporting consumption of digital content on various platform. AXMEDIS Framework use cryption tool for protecting and consuming of digital content on device. But, cryption tool management is impossible on device, because of flexible transfer of cryption tool can't be supported between device. In this paper, we designed and implemented transfer module of AXMEDIS cryption tool for flexible operating protection and consumption of digital program on AXMEDIS Framework.
