The development of a practical pipe auto-routing system in a shipbuilding CAD environment using network optimization

  • An automatic pipe routing system is proposed and implemented. Generally, the pipe routing design as a part of the shipbuilding process requires a considerable number of man hours due to the complexity which comes from physical and operational constraints and the crucial influence on outfitting construction productivity. Therefore, the automation of pipe routing design operations and processes has always been one of the most important goals for improvements in shipbuilding design. The proposed system is applied to a pipe routing design in the engine room space of a commercial ship. The effectiveness of this system is verified as a reasonable form of support for pipe routing design jobs. The automatic routing result of this system can serve as a good basis model in the initial stages of pipe routing design, allowing the designer to reduce their design lead time significantly. As a result, the design productivity overall can be improved with this automatic pipe routing system.

정밀 위치정보 데이터를 이용한 수중 하저면의 수심 정보 획득 시스템 (Data Collection System to Water Depth in Reservoir Using Accurate Location Information)

  • 본 논문에서는 위성으로부터의 전파를 이용해 지상의 위치를 측정하는 글로벌 위성항법시스템(GNSS)과 음향측심기를 같이 사용하여 저수지의 정확한 위치 정보와 수심 정보 데이터를 동시에 획득할 수 있는 무인 조사 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 자동 경로 생성 프로그램으로 5m, 10m 및 20m의 그리드 크기에 대한 입력 조건에 따라 자동으로 순항 경로를 생성토록 하였고, 또한 자동으로 정확한 순항 경로를 제어하도록 하였다. 개발된 시스템은 전라남도 순천시 서면에 위치한 용곡(건천) 저수지에서 적용 가능성을 검증하였다. 61.1ha의 전체 저수지 수역 조사 시간에 대한 검증 결과는 새로운 시스템이 매우 높은 품질의 공간 분해능을 포함하여 저수지의 수심을 신속하게 조사할 수 있음을 나타내었다.

  • In this paper, a system of durability test for ATPS(Automatic Transmission Position Switch), which is used for automatic transmission, has been developed. ATPS is the position sensor for an automatic transmission which transforms the gear changes into the electrical signals and transmits them to TCU(Transmission Control Unit). This system can detect the output signals of the sensor, and also it has been designed to control the position and velocity of a motor to realize the sensor's movement under the running state of a car. And a database system and a GUI system have been developed for the systematic output data management and the convenient interface for users. Also, the operation data and the inspection reference data of a motor can be easily changed in this system, and with some modification the system is also able to used for the durability test of the similar products.

기록물 전거레코드 기술 요소의 자동생성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Archival Authority Record Elements for Automatic Organization and Production)

  • 본 연구는 기록물전거레코드 자동생성을 위하여 전자문서시스템에서 전거레코드 관련 요소를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 기록물 생산자 전거레코드인 ISAAR(CPF)와 호주 기록관리 메타데이터 표준 RMSCA를 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 우리나라 기록물관리시스템인 전자문서시스템과 자료관시스템을 살펴보았다. 연구결과로 전자문서시스템의 전자결재 기능과 시스템 운영 관리기능을 통해 전거레코드 기술 요소를 자동 생성하도록 제안하였고 전자문서시스템에서 자동 생성되지 않는 기능은 전거시스템 및 아키비스트의 역할, 그리고 기술규칙 제정을 통해 제안하였다.

  • In this paper, the improvement of cap tilting system in heavy truck and the development of program for automatic design are discussed. Cab tilting system takes some important roles in heavy truck, absorbing discomfort vibration from load, increasing repair efficiency and making sure of safety. Common manual cab tilting system cannot be easily tilt up in sloped road, giving difficulty to driver as cal tilting up/down. So recently hydraulic cab tilting system is in wide use. But some problem such as tilting up/down speed is not constant and sudden swing of cab has brought discredit from user. Therefore, this paper presents advanced cab tilting system which prevents sudden swing of cab and development of program for selecting design parameters automatically.

  • Material handling equipment such as container cranes and transtainer cranes have made larger and faster to improve the efficiency of container handling. As conditions of use in container terminal have become severe, and also the automation level required has become higher. For the high level automation for transtainer crane, the following characteristics have to be developed 1) Container Terminal Operation & Planning System with high efficiency. 2)Autosteering System of transtainer crane with precise position sensing system using image processing and feedback control system. 3)Automatic Position Identification System with transponder. We have developed an AGSS(Automatic Gantry Steering System) of transtainer crane with image processing technology preferentially. In this paper, the system will be introduced.

Combining Object Detection and Hand Gesture Recognition for Automatic Lighting System Control

  • Recently, smart lighting systems are the combination between sensors and lights. These systems turn on/off and adjust the brightness of lights based on the motion of object and the brightness of environment. These systems are often applied in places such as buildings, rooms, garages and parking lot. However, these lighting systems are controlled by lighting sensors, motion sensors based on illumination environment and motion detection. In this paper, we propose an automatic lighting control system using one single camera for buildings, rooms and garages. The proposed system is one integration the results of digital image processing as motion detection, hand gesture detection to control and dim the lighting system. The experimental results showed that the proposed system work very well and could consider to apply for automatic lighting spaces.

  • The objective of this research is the development of the Automatic Subjective Assessment System (ASAS). The proposed subjective assessment system is designed to evaluate human emotion and sensibility (or "gamsung" in Korean terminology) with subjective responses of volunteers about the experiment of emotion and sensibility. Once volunteers enter their subjective responses about the experiment into the developed system, the proposed system can automatically generate statistical results of human emotion and sensibility using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Then, the system stores the statistical results in the database which will be open to public through internet. The proposed system will be integrated into the universal" gamsung" assessment system for evaluation of human emotion and sensibility.

  • Since the heat exchange system, such as the boiler of power plant, gas turbine, and radiator require a high rate heat efficiency and the efficiency of these systems is depended on the control methods. However, it is important f3r operator to understand control system of these systems. In order to properly apply control equipment to these process control systems, such as boiler, any other heat process, or process control system it is necessary to understand the basic aspects and operation principle of the process that relate control, interrelationships of the process characteristics, and the dynamics that are involved. Generally, PID controllers are used in these systems but it is difficult for engineer to understand the complex dynamics and the tuning method because of the coupling action and disturbance in the system loop. In this paper, we design an effective experimental system fur automatic control education and analyze its characteristics through experimental system and industrial plant control software to study how they can team automatic control system by experiments.

  • As functional requirements of automatic office machines like printers, Automatic Tellex Machines(ATMs), copying machines are on a trend for the higher speed and precision, extensive technical advances are being developed and implemented in the industry. Media transport system is a device to convey a sheet of paper in ATMs and printers. The stability of media transport system is a matter of concern as their operating throughput rapidly increases. And defects of belts or rollers in a transport system directly affect the level of stability of the system. Therefore an automatic diagnostic system for predicting various defects is necessary for the stable operation of the media transport system. A simulation based on multi-body dynamics has been done for a feasibility study of a system design for the defect anticipation.
