경적음의 도플러 효과를 이용한 교통사고분석 (Traffic Accident Analysis using Doppler Effect of the Horn)

  • In this study, we estimate the vehicle speed by analyzing the acoustic data recorded in a single microphone of a surveillance camera. The frequency analysis of the acoustic data corrects the Doppler effect, which is a characteristic of the moving sound source, and reflects the geometric relationship according to the location of the sound source and the microphone on the two-dimensional plane. The acoustic data is selected from the horn sound that is mainly observed in an urgent situation among various sound sources that may occur in a traffic accident, and the characteristics of the monotone source are considered. We verified the reliability of the proposed method by time domain acoustic analysis and actual vehicle evaluation. This method is effective and can be used for traffic accident analysis in the blind spot of the camera using a single microphone built into the existing surveillance camera.

도로 주행평가를 통한 능동 안전장치 연구 (A Study on the Active Safety Features Assessment through Test Drive)

  • This study examined the drivers' acceptance level of various active safety features with Korean drivers on Seoul urban and city roads. The test vehicle, 2013 Cadillac ATS, was equipped with FCA(Forward Collision Alert), LDW(Lane Departure Warning), SBZA(Side Blind Zone Alert), FRPA(Front/Rear Park Assist), RCTA(Rear Cross Traffic Alert), ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control), and AEB(Autonomous Emergency Braking). Participants had chances to run the tests on those systems in the parking lot accompanied by the 106km long stretch of predetermined route including local road and interurban highway in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do under normal traffic flowing environment. After the test, participants completed a series of questionnaires about the features they experienced. The results revealed that RCTA and SBZA systems received more favourable ratings compared to the other features in avoiding crashes. The respondents preferred sound alerts to haptic ones even though haptic warning methods were better in providing directional information.

  • This paper presents a lateral collision risk index between an ego vehicle and a rear-side vehicle. The lateral collision risk is designed to represent a lateral collision risk and provide the appropriate threshold value of activation of the lateral collision management system such as the Blind Spot Detection(BSD). The lateral collision risk index is designed using the Time to Line Crossing(TLC) and the longitudinal collision index at the predicted TLC. TLC and the longitudinal collision index are calculated with the signals from the exterior sensor such as the radar equipped on the rear-side of a vehicle and a vision sensor which detects the distance and time to the lane departure. For the robust situation assessment, the perception of driving environment determining whether the road is straighten or curved should be determined. The relative motion estimation method has been proposed with the road information via the integrated estimator using the environment sensors and vehicle sensor. A lateral collision risk index was composed with the estimated relative motion considering the relative yaw angle. The performance of the proposed lateral collision risk index is investigated via computer simulations conducted using the vehicle dynamics software CARSIM and Matlab/Simulink.

정밀 지도에 기반한 자율 주행 시스템 개발 (A Development of the Autonomous Driving System based on a Precise Digital Map)

  • An autonomous driving system based on a precise digital map is developed. The system is implemented to the Hyundai's Tucsan fuel cell car, which has a camera, smart cruise control (SCC) and Blind spot detection (BSD) radars, 4-Layer LiDARs, and a standard GPS module. The precise digital map has various information such as lanes, speed bumps, crosswalks and land marks, etc. They can be distinguished as lane-level. The system fuses sensed data around the vehicle for localization and estimates the vehicle's location in the precise map. Objects around the vehicle are detected by the sensor fusion system. Collision threat assessment is performed by detecting dangerous vehicles on the precise map. When an obstacle is on the driving path, the system estimates time to collision and slow down the speed. The vehicle has driven autonomously in the Hyundai-Kia Namyang Research Center.

  • This thesis is concerned with the development of useful engineering techniques to detect and analyze nonlinearities in mechanical systems. The methods developed are based on the concepts of higher order spectra, in particular the bispectrum. The study of higher order statistics has been dominated by work on the bispectrum. The bispectrum can be viewed as a decomposition of the third moment(skewness) of a signal over frequency and as such is blind to symmetric nonlinearities. Initially auto higher order spectra are studied in detail with particular attention being paid to normalization method. Traditional method based on the bicoherence are studied. Under certain conditions, notably narrow band signals, the above normalization method is shown to fail and so a new technique based on prewhitening the signal in the time domain is developed.

  • 본 논문에서는 6 Fisheye lens 원본 영상에 대하여 Insta360 stitcher, AutoStitch[4], As-Projective-AsPossible(APAP)[5] 스티칭 방법으로 360 도 파노라마 영상을 생성하고 기하학적 왜곡과 컬러 왜곡을 비교 평가한다. 360 도 파노라마 Image Quality Assessment(IQA) 메트릭으로 Natural Image Quality Evaluator(NIQE)[6], Blind/Referenceless Image Spatial Quality Evaluator (BRISQUE)[7], Perception based Image Quality Evaluator(PIQE)[8], Feature Similarity(FSIM)[9] 그리고 high frequency feature 에 대한 Structural Similarity(SSIM)[10]을 측정하여 정량적 평가를 하며 정성적인 비교를 통하여 파노라마 영상의 품질과 평가 메트릭에 대한 벤치마크를 제공한다.

Performance Comparison of MISP-based MANET Strong DAD Protocol

  • A broadcast operation is the fundamental transmission technique in mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs). Because a broadcast operation can cause a broadcast storm, only selected forwarding nodes have the right to rebroadcast a broadcast message among the one-hop and two-hop neighboring nodes of a sender. This paper proposes the maximum intersection self-pruning (MISP) algorithm to minimize broadcasting redundancy. Herein, an example is given to help describe the main concept of MISP and upper bounds of forward node have been derived based on induction. A simulation conducted demonstrated that when conventional blind flooding (BF), self-pruning (SP), an optimized link state routing (OLSR) multipoint relay (MPR) set, and dominant pruning (DP), are replaced with the MISP in executing Strong duplicate address detection (DAD), the performances in terms of the energy consumption, upper bounds of the number of forward nodes, and message complexity have been improved. In addition, to evaluate the performance in reference to the link error probability, Pe, an enhancement was achieved by computing a proposed retransmission limit, S, for error recovery based on this probability. Retransmission limit control is critical for efficient energy consumption of MANET nodes operating with limited portable energy where Strong DAD reacts differently to link errors based on the operational procedures.

  • 나로우주센터 발사관제시스템 실시간 모의장치의 데이터를 퍼지-칼만 필터의 오차 공분산으로 후처리 분석하여 센서 사이에 존재하는 연관성을 시나리오를 전혀 모르는 상태에서 유추하는 연구를 수행하였다. 유추된 연관성은 시나리오 상의 관계와 정확히 일치하였다. 퍼지-칼만 필터의 최적화 성질을 역이용하여 센서의 신호를 분석하였다. 이 연구의 결과로 다중의 센서 시스템이 존재하는 한국형 우주발사체와 탑재 유상하중 그리고 지상지원 시스템에 대한 신호분석의 가능성을 확인하였다

  • A 4-week-old 0.5 kg male Shih Tzu with history of congenital abnormality, abnormality, was referred to Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Chungbuk National University for further evaluation and treatment. During physical examination, the dog revealed mild depression and dyschezia. In plain radiographs, a digital thermometer put in the anus and grasped blind end of the rectum. In contrast radiographs, a urethrorectal fistula was confirmed. Urine specimens were collected with cystocentesis. Bacteria of the urine were detected using an auto microorganism analyzer. According to history taking, physical examination, radiographic signs and urinalysis, it was diagnosed as type IV atresia ani with a urethrorectal fistula. The dog was treated by fistulectomy and anoplasty, and discharged with instruction. Three days after operation, mild dehiscence was appeared. Wound was left to heal by second intention. During the follow-up of eight weeks, wound showed it to be healed and defecation was normal.

  • 본 논문에서는 펄스형 시추공 레이더 시스템에 사용되는 UWB 모듈인 펄스 발생기와 광대역 가변 이득 저잡음 증폭기를 설계 및 제작하고, 기존의 시스템과 비교하여 성능을 분석하였다. 공동을 포함하는 지하 매질의 최대 경로 손실을 구하여 시스템 버짓과 규격을 결정하였다. 펄스 발생기는 40 kHz의 펄스 반복율과 5 ns 미만의 펄스폭을 가지고 피크 레벨이 +73 dBm으로 제작되었다. 광대역 저잡음 증폭기는 주파수 20 MHz에서 200 MHz 범위 내에서 3.77 dB의 잡음 지수와 100 dB의 가변 이득 범위를 가지게끔 설계되었다. 실제 시험장에서 기존 시스템과 비교한 결과, 제작된 시스템은 탐사가 되지 않는 영역도 낮은 잡음 지수를 갖는 저잡음 증폭기에 의해서 탐사가 가능하였다.
