철도 차량용 이벤트 레코더를 위한 분석 소프트웨어 개발 (Development of Analysis Software for Railway Vehicle Event Recorder)

  • 최근 철도차량에도 객관적이고 신속 정확하게 사고 원인을 분석하고, 사고를 미리 예방하기 위하여 여러 나라에서 철도 차량의 운행정보가 기록되는 블랙박스 즉, 이벤트 레코더의 설치를 법제화하고 있고, 이에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 또한 사고에 대한 정확한 판단을 위하여 저장된 데이터를 분석하고 표현할 수 있는 분석 소프트웨어가 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이벤트 레코더에 기록된 데이터를 분석하고 음성과 영상을 재생하는 분석 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 본 논문의 이벤트 레코더 분석 소프트웨어는 신속하고 정확하게 사고 원인을 규명할 수 있고, 구간별 운행 패턴과 기관사의 습관 등을 파악할 수 있다. 또한 이미 발생한 사고 상황에 대해 영상과 음성을 함께 분석함으로써, 차후 발생할 수 있는 사고를 미연에 방지할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

웹기반의 건강사정 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 개발 (Development of Web-based Multimedia Content for a Physical Examination and Health Assessment Course)

  • Purpose: This study was to develop Web-based multimedia content for Physical Examination and Health Assesment. Method: The multimedia content was developed based on Jung's teaching and learning structure plan model, using the following 5 processes: 1) Analysis Stage, 2) Planning Stage, 3) Storyboard Framing and Production Stage, 4) Program Operation Stage, and 5) Final Evaluation Stage. Results: The web based multimedia content consisted of an intro movie, main page and sub pages. On the main page, there were 6 menu bars that consisted of Announcement center, Information of professors, Lecture guide, Cyber lecture, Q&A, and Data centers, and a site map which introduced 15 week lectures. In the operation of web based multimedia content, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, and multimedia technology(Audio and Video) were utilized and the content consisted of text content, interactive content, animation, and audio & video. Consultation with the experts in context, computer engineering, and educational technology was utilized in the development of these processes. Conclusions: Web-based multimedia content is expected to offer individualized and tailored learning opportunities to maximize and facilitate the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. Therefore, multimedia content should be utilized concurrently with the lecture in the Physical Examination and Health Assesment classes as a vital teaching aid to make up for the weakness of the face-to- face teaching-learning method.

  • A VLSI architecture of an Ogg Vorbis decoder is proposed : which is dedicated to portable audio appliances. Referring to the computational cost analysis of the decoding processes, the LSP (Line Spectrum Pair) process, which takes more than 50% of the total processing time, can be regarded as a bottleneck to achieve realtime processing by embedded Processors. Thus in our decoder a specific hardware architecture is devised for the LSP process so as to be integrated into a single chip together with an ARM7TDMI processor. In addition, in order to reduce the total hardware cost, instead of the floating point arithmetic, the fixed point arithmetic is adopted. The LSP module has been implemented with 9,740 gates by using a Virtual Silicon 0.l5$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology, which operates at 58.8MHz with the total CPU load reduced by 57%. It is also verified that the use of the fixed point arithmetic does not incur any significant sound distortion.

전력선 통신 기반 HD급 미디어 전송 시스템 설계 및 성능 분석 (System Design of High-Definition Media Transceiver based on Power Line Communication and Its Performance Analysis)

  • Due to a development of a modem technology as Power Line Communication(PLC) over 200 Mbps, the high-speed multi-media data trasmission could be currently possible. The strength of the PLC has no more additional wiring work. PLC has also possible to high quality data transmission with currently electrical cable. It has a various strong point campare with existing wire and wireless communication technologies. In This paper we develop a high quality media transmitter-receiver based on merging the HomePlug AV, which is 200 Mbps class PLC technology and HDMI Interface technology. The video function was used for the VEDEO TEST GENERATOR in order to a property valuation. Smart Live 6 software were used for the assessment of audio property. As the result of measurement of the HD class images by capturing from the receiver of the PLC, the quality of images couldn't be confirm any deterioration, which has compared with original reflections. In case of audio part as the result of confirmation of the Phase, Magnitude, it has been confirmed that over 90% of nomal transmition and receiving of acoustic signal. It can be possible to have HD class Media service through the PLC.

대중매체의 환경교육적 활용 가능성에 관한 고찰 (A Survey on the Application Possibility of Mass Media for Environmental Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey on the awareness of teachers and students to mass media as a source for school environmental education. This study was performed with the questionnaire to 179 teachers who participated in certificate in-service training for $\ulcorner$Environment$\lrcorner$subject and to 635 students(primary: 177, middle: 179, high school students: 279). The results derived from this study were as follows: First, most teachers(86.6%) evaluated that mass media's effects on students were high and positive in terms of school environmental education, thus they thought that the application necessity and possibility of mass media for environmental education were so too. Second, many teachers evaluated that more program related with environment had to be produced(57.0%) and disseminated, and information on them had to be apprised teachers to activate school environmental education(44.1%). Third, both teachers(87.1%) and students(70.4%) evaluated that audio-visual media such as television, video, movie was better than others for environmental education because audio-visual media could be more realistic and dynamic(T: 48.0%, S: 41.7%). Fourth, we found that as the result of statistical analysis, students's friendliness. credibility and preference on media were different to school classes. But we could not analize the relationship between factors for the limit of sample.

  • 본 논문에서는 블루투스 기반의 다중링크 서비스의 성능을 분석하고 이를 기반으로 다양한 블루투스 기기간의 다중링크 서비스를 개발하였다. 블루투스를 기반으로 다양한 기능을 동시에 지원하는 어플리케이션 개발 시에 제약사항을 분석하고 실험하였다. 제약사항은 논리적 링크를 구성하는 SCO와 ACL의 특징에 의하여 발생한다. 스캐터 넷을 구성할 경우 단 하나의 SCO 링크를 사용할 수 있으며, 데이터 트래픽 처리를 위한 ACL의 경우 RFCOMM의 채널 수에 의존한다. 고 음질 오디오 데이터의 경우 SCO를 이용한 스트리밍을 지원할 수 없으며 따라서 이 경우 ACL의 전송률을 이용하게 되어 다른 링크의 데이터 전송률이 감소하게 된다. 블루투스 기기간 다중 링크 시스템 구현을 통하여 제약 사항 및 고려 사항들을 확인하고 검증하였다.

MPEG 심리음향모델의 고속 구현을 위한 효율적 FFT 연산 (An Efficient Computation of FFT for MPEG/Audio Psycho-Acoustic Model)

  • 본 논문은 MPEG 오디오 부호화 과정 중 심리음향모델(PAM: Psychoacoustic Model)에 사용되는 FFT를 효율적으로 계산할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. MPEG 오디오 부호화 과정 중 심리음향 모델 연산은 많은 연산량을 차지하며, 부호화의 실시간 및 저 전력 구현을 위해서는 이의 최적화가 요구된다. 최적화를 위하여 제안하는 알고리듬은 심리음향모델에서 사용하는 입력신호에 대한 1024-샘플 FFT 대신에 서브밴드과정에서 나온 각각의 32개의 밴드에 대하여 32-샘플 FFT를 함으로써 1024-샘플 FFT의 효과를 얻는데 있다. 이때 서브밴드과정을 거친 신호에 대한 FFT에는 에일리어징이 발생하며 이를 줄이기 위하여 버터플라이 구조의 에일리어징 제거블록을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리듬으로 심리음향모델을 구현할 경우 SMR이 약 1dB이내의 오차를 가지며, 기존 알고리듬에 비해 절반의 연산량으로 심리음향 모델을 위한 FFT 스펙트럼을 얻을 수 있다.

  • To interactively share High Definition (HD)-quality visualization over emerging ultra-high-speed network infrastructure, several lossless and low-delay real-time media (i.e., uncompressed HD video and audio) transport systems are being designed and prototyped. However, most of them still rely on expensive hardware components. As an effort to reduce the building cost of system, in this paper, we propose the integration of both transmitter and receiver machines into a single bi-directional transport system. After detailed bottleneck analysis and subsequent refinements of embedded software components, the proposed integration can provide Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP)-based bi-directional transport of uncompressed HD video and audio from a single machine. We also explain how to interface the Gbps-bandwidth display output of uncompressed HD media system to the networked tiled display of 10240 $\times$ 3200 super-high-resolution. Finally, to verify the feasibility of proposed integration, several prototype systems are built and evaluated by operating them in several different experiment scenarios.

  • 음성 전단증폭기를 후막집적회로기술을 이용하여 집적회로화하는데에 파생되는 여러가지 기술적인 문제를 실제로 연구개발을 실시한 경험을 토대로 소개하였다. 특히 전자계산기를 이용한 회로해석을 통하여 전단증폭기의 성능을 가장 민감하게 좌우하는 저항소자를 찾아 내므로써 크기의 아루미나 기판상에 집적된 7개의 저항중에서 한개만을 조정하여도 원하는 주파수특성을 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이로써 7개의 저항을 설계치에 맞게 각각 조정하는 작업을 하지 않고 그 중 하나만을 원하는 특성이 나타날때까지 조정하는 기능조정방법을 찾아내어 조정작업에 소요되는 인건비를 1/7로 절감할 수 있도록 하였다. 이 외에도 저항체와 도체간의 접촉문제라든가, 크로쓰오바의 기생용량문계 또는 저항조정방법에 따르는 잡음도의 변화문제에 대해서도 상세히 다루었다.

Implementation of sigma-delta A/D converter IP for digital audio

  • In this paper, we only describe the digital block of two-channel 18-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter employing sigma-delta method and xl28 decimation. The device contains two fourth comb filters with 1-bit input from sigma­delta modulator. each followed by a digital half band FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filters. The external analog sigma-delta modulators are sampled at 6.144MHz and the digital words are output at 48kHz. The fourth-order comb filter has designed 3 types of ways for optimal power consumption and signal-to-noise ratio. The following 3 digital filters are designed with 12tap, 22tap and 116tap to meet the specification. These filters eliminate images of the base band audio signal that exist at multiples of the input sample rate. We also designed these filters with 8bit and 16bit filter coefficient to analysis signal-to-noise ratio and hardware complexity. It also included digital output interface block for I2S serial data protocol, test circuit and internal input vector generator. It is fabricated with 0.35um HYNIX standard CMOS cell library with 3.3V supply voltage and the chip size is 2000um by 2000um. The function and the performance have been verified using Verilog XL logic simulator and Matlab tool.
