  • This paper presents experimental analysis of a friction-driven wheel responsible for generating wheel squeal. Creep and squeal noise generating mechanism are influenced by friction conditions of attack angle, loading force, driving velocity and surface roughness. Squeal noise phenomena has been examined under the laboratory condition by the model rig. Creep characteristics and squeal noise were observed by varying relative velocity of the wheel with respect to the rail and friction coefficient.

  • As a dependency on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) becomes increase in various applications, its reliability has been very important. However, in South Korea, Global Positioning System (GPS) jamming incident happened four times since 2010. GNSS signal is so weak that it is highly susceptible to all types of the jamming. GNSS jamming can cause serious damage in the safety-critical applications based on the GNSS. In this paper, we present the GNSS jamming signal propagation prediction simulator based on ITU-R P.1546 model. This simulator is developed for preventing or reducing the damage from the GNSS jamming attack by predicting the jamming propagation strength based on the geographical information in Korean peninsula.

  • Roles of reactor internals are to support nuclear fuel, provide insertion and withdrawal channels of nuclear fuel control rods, and carry out core cooling. In case of functional loss of the reactor internals, it may lead to severe accidents caused by damage of nuclear fuel assembly and deterioration of reactor vessel due to attack of fallen out parts. The present study is to examine fluid flows in reactor internals subjected to hydrodynamic loads. In this context, an integrated model was developed and applied to two kinds of numerical analyses; one is to analyze periodic loading effect caused by pump pulsation and the other is to analyze random loading effect employing different turbulent models. Acoustic pressure distributions and flow velocity as well as pressure and temperature fields were calculated and compared to establish appropriate analysis techniques.

  • A smart submunition drops through the expected trajectory to have a appropriate target searching footprint for the armored ground vehicles. Parachutes can be used as a tool to decelerate and spin the submunition. Usually submunition's descent velocity, spin rate, submunition inclination angle against vertical and dynamic stability affect to its target searching footprint. Therefore it is important to design optimal parachute and load configuration for the overall system performance. In this paper we described the dynamic motion of submunition by the mathematical model of parachute and load. Through the computer simulation we can analyze the submunition footprint affected by parachute and load design.

  • In this paper, we used the maximum likelihood method for 2-point aerodynamic model to determine the parameters of the ChangGong-91. Since the estimation from the flight test of real aircraft is the most reliable, we performed the flight test of ChangGong-91 to get the parameters such as velocity, height, 3 axis acceleration, 3 axis angular rate, pitch angle, angle of attack, temperature and so on. We recorded the flight test data in S-VHS tapes and stored them to personal computer using A/D(analog to digital) converter. Flight test was done in stall motion, and the acquired data was be processed with parameter identification method.

  • IDS(Intrusion Detection System) evasion is a technology which uses vulnerability of IDS in order not to be detected by IDS. In this paper, at first, we classify IDS evasion technology. Second, we propose detection model of IDS evasion technology. Finally, we design and implement detection system of IDS evasion.

  • To know the thermal-moisture condition of the concrete is very important to expect the concrete durability such as chloride attack, carbonation, alkali-aggregate reaction, freezing damage. The purpose of this study is to establish the temperature-moisture coupled model which is based on the finite element method and measure temperature and relative humidity under the exposured condition.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate chloride ion attack durability of concrete structure having experienced the high temperature fire. Mechanical properties and anti chloride ion diffusivity of concrete specimens were measured which have experienced of 2 hours heating at $200{^{\circ}C},\;400{^{\circ}C},\;600{^{\circ}C},\;800{^{\circ}C}$. The coupling FE model of thermal transfer and chloride ion diffusion was built to predict the life expectancy of RC structure using the property values by a series of experiment.

  • The most common deteriorating processes of concrete structures in the world-wide are carbonation and chloride ion. In this paper, chloride profiles of carbonated concrete is predicted to considering two layer composite model, which is based on Fick's 2nd law. From the experimental result on combined deterioration of chloride and carbonation, it was examined that high chloride concentration was built up to 3-5㎜ over depth from carbonation depth. The analytical modeling of chloride diffusion, which was based on the Fick's 2nd law of diffusion, was suggested to depict the relative influence of the carbonation depth.

  • With the wide usage of internet in many fields, networks are being exposed to many security threats, such as DDoS attack and worm/virus. For enterprise network, prevention failure of network security causes the revealing of commercial information or interruption of network services. In this paper, we propose a method of prevention of DDoS attacks for enterprise network based on traceback and network traffic analysis. The model of traceback implements the detection of IP spoofing attacks by the cooperation of trusted adjacent host, and the method of network traffic analysis implements the detection of DDoS attacks by analyzing the traffic characteristic. Moreover, we present the result of the experiments, and compare the method with other methods. The result demonstrates that the method can effectively detect and block DDoS attacks and IP spoofing attacks.
