We investigated the effect on light extraction in OLED by introducing aluminum micro bump light scattering reflector. By attaching the micro bump reflector to a both side emission OLED, we found that the light extraction was 1.7 times larger than a simple flat reflector. We fabricated a 20.8” inch WXGA full color AM-OLED by integrating the micro bump scattering reflector.

In this work, we investigate the characteristics of output compliance matrix of a planar 3 degree-of-freedom parallel mechanism when joint compliances are attached to the mechanism redundantly. It is shown by simulation that by attaching redundant joint compliances symmetrically to the mechanism, the translational and rotational compliances can be arbitrarily modulated within some ranges. This property could be effectively used in the control of the compliance characteristics of actively adjustable RCC devices.

In order to analyze the blooming suppression mechanism of a MOS image sensor, test photodiodes have been fabricated and characterized by attaching a source follower circuit. The blooming suppression ability of npn structure compared to that of np structure is quantitatively analyzed and measured by experiment. The dependency of the blooming current on the substrate voltage, the vertical MOS gate voltage and the video voltage is measured and the optimum condition for blooming suppression is presented.

In this study, the nature of brittleness, one of the main problems of GFRP(Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic) Re-bar, is improved. Therefore, Hybrid GFRP Rod is developed by attaching FBG sensor to the new GFRP Rod with toughness, essential for flexural reinforcement of the concrete. The test was performed with specimens of Hybrid GFRP Rod. According to the test, data measured by electric gauge sensor are compared with data measured by FBG sensor.

Bee-chy is the name of a bird as well as of a jade. This study is about Bee-chy-mo which only Royalty had used in the Shilla period. Bee-chy is a bird which belongs to Alcedinid-ae, and is called as“Ruddy Kingfish”,“Black-capped Kignfish”,“Common Kingfish”. It is distributed all over the world only except for the South Pole. The colors of Black-capped Kingfish and Common Kingfish's feathers are bright green or deep blue. The feather was so beautiful that people already used it in ancient China. Feather garments as well as decorations with Kingfish feathers were popularized in Tang period. Bee-chy-mo was used by attaching Kingfish feathers to decorations or weaving clothes with Kingfish feathers.

Attaching additional devices cause loss of power and pressure. In this study, We has analyzed the performance of the LPG injector nozzle by changing cutsole geometry numerously by using Computational Fluid Dynamics.

Vibration absorber is used to protect the primary system from steady-state harmonic disturbance. By attaching the absorber to the primary system which is modeled as a SDOF system, the new system becomes two DOF system. Depending on the driving frequency on the original system, the absorber needs to be carefully tuned, that is, to choose adequate value of the absorber mass and stiffness, so that the motion of the original mass is a minimum. This paper presents the effects of resonance frequency ratio and of vibration absorber with oil damper and coil spring for linear damped primary systems.

To analyze the effects of the front and rear roll stabilizer bar, five different models of roll stabilizer bar are simulated in this paper. It is shown that the stiffness change of the roll stabilizer bar is an effective way to alter the vehicle's roll gradient. Attaching an actuator at the roll stabilizer bar the vehicle's roll gradient can be controlled within error limits.

Aquatic Oligochaeta is a notable animal group in freshwater environment such as streams, rivers and lakes in view of its biomass and species richness. Taxonomic studies of this group, however, have hardly been performed in Korea. Here five naidid oligochaete species are reported - Slavina appendiculata, Pristina longiseta, Pristina biserrata, Chaetogaster diaphanus and Nais variabilis - from the Seokhyeoncheon Stream in Yangju and from the Changreungcheon Stream in Goyang, Gyeonggi-do. Aquatic oligochaetes attaching on aquatic vegetations were collected with a plankton hand net. An image and description on Nais variabilis new to Korea are provided.
