The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of restaurant atmosphere on its image and customers' emotional responses and behavior. The results of this study indicated that perceived restaurant atmospheres had a significant effect on customers' emotional responses, and these emotional responses greatly influenced the image of a restaurant. Especially, the ambient and cleanliness factors of restaurant atmosphere influenced a restaurant image, and the positive image from those factors had a significant effect on customer behavior. The design and human factors of restaurant atmosphere influenced customer behavior, and the positive image from those factors had a significant effect on customer behavior. Finally, it was verified that the restaurant atmospheric factors affected its image and customers' emotional responses and behavior. Moreover, the better the restaurant atmospheric factors(design, ambient, cleanliness, humanity) are, the better customers' emotional responses and image are, thereby increasing customers' revisiting and word-of-mouth intention.
We performed the comparison of observed $PM_{10}$ and $PM_{2.5}$ at both the Yonsei University and the AIRKOREA site in the same Seodaemun-gu district, Seoul from March to December 2016. Generally, the moderate correlations between two sites were found for both $PM_{10}$ and $PM_{2.5}$, but monthly difference was somewhat occurred, implying that the measurement situation is not equally maintained even in a closely located area. Particularly correlations became weaker in June and July, which seems the impact of rainy conditions. Correlations between two stations were higher for $PM_{10}$ compared to $PM_{2.5}$, probably indicating the spatially larger difference of fine mode particle. Monthly mean variation was similar between two sites showing a maximum in March and minimum in August. Diurnal variation was somewhat different: morning peak at Yonsei University but evening peak at the Seodaemun-gu AIRKOREA site, reflecting the difference of local air condition. We also compared the extent of $PM_{10}$ and $PM_{2.5}$ according to the local wind speed and direction. In general, the level of particulate matter was high when the wind is blowing from the northwestern area with low wind speed, meaning the high accumulation effect of transported air particles. Findings of this study can be usefully considered for the investigation about the discrepancy of aerosol measurement in a local scale.

A Cold spot temperature control system for the batch annealing furnace has been estabilished in order to reduce energy consumption to improve productivity and stabilize the propertics of products. Therefore we confirmed a relation between annealing cycle time and atmospheric gas, variation of coil cold spot temperature with time during heating and actual temperature measurements at mid-width of each coil during heating and actual temperature measurements at mid-width of each coil during soaking. The results of the tempaeature variation effect on the batch annealing are as follows. 1) Heating time is reduced to one half with increasing atmospheric gas flow rate and changing of atmospheric gas component from HNx to Ax gas, and annealing cycle time is reduced to 2.7 times. 2) In case of short time healing, the slowest heating part is the center of B coil, in case of long time heating, the low temperature point moves from the center of coil to inside coil. And the temperature in this part is higher than other parts when cooling. When finished heating, the cold spot is located 1/3 of coil inside in case of HNx atmospheric gas. But center of coil in case of Ax atmospheric gas. 3) The outside of top coil is the highest temperature point when heating, which becomes the lowest temperature point when cooling. So, this point becomes high temperature zone at heating and low temperature zone at cooling, It has relation according to atmospheric gas component and flow rate. 4) Soaking time at batch annealing cycle determination is made a decision by the input coil width, and soaking time for quality homogenization of 1214mm width coil must be 2.5 hours longer than that of 914mm width coil for the same ciol weight. 5) Annealing cycle time with Ax atmospheric gas is extended 1 hour in of slow cooling during 5 hours in order to avoid rapid cooling.

MODIS/Terra level 3 and NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis data from 2001 to 2008 have been analyzed to understand long-term aerosol and cloud optical properties, and their relationships around Korea. Interestingly, cloud fraction(CF) has the similar annual variation to aerosol optical depth (${\tau}_a$) without any temporal significant trend. Horizontal distributions of ${\tau}_a$ showed the substantial horizontal gradient from China to Korea, especially with the strong difference over the Yellow Sea, which could represent the evidence of the anthropogenic influence from China in the perspective of long-term average. Specifically the negative correlations between ${\tau}_a$ and liquid-phase cloud effective radius ($r_e$) were shown on the monthly-average basis, only in summer with significant associations over the Yellow Sea, but not in the other seasons and/or specific regions. Relationship between ${\tau}_a$ and CF for the low-level liquid-phase clouds exhibited the overall positive correlation, being consistent with cloud lifetime effect. Meanwhile static stability showed no deterministic relationships with ${\tau}_a$ as well as CF. The dependence of aerosol-cloud relationship on the meteorological conditions should be examined more in detail with the satellite remote sensing and reanalysis data.

PURPOSE. Autoclaves and UV sterilizers have been commonly used to prevent cross-infections between dental patients and dental instruments or materials contaminated by saliva and blood. To develop a dental sterilizer which can sterilize most materials, such as metals, rubbers, and plastics, the sterilization effect of an atmospheric pressure non-thermal air plasma device was evaluated. MATERIALS AND METHODS. After inoculating E. coli and B. subtilis the diamond burs and polyvinyl siloxane materials were sterilized by exposing them to the plasma for different lengths of time (30, 60, 90, 120, 180 and, 240 seconds). The diamond burs and polyvinyl siloxane materials were immersed in PBS solutions, cultured on agar plates and quantified by counting the colony forming units. The data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and significance was assessed by the LSD post hoc test (${\alpha}$=0.05). RESULTS. The device was effective in killing E. coli contained in the plasma device compared with the UV sterilizer. The atmospheric pressure non-thermal air plasma device contributed greatly to the sterilization of diamond burs and polyvinyl siloxane materials inoculated with E. coli and B. subtilis. Diamond burs and polyvinyl siloxane materials inoculated with E. coli was effective after 60 and 90 seconds. The diamond burs and polyvinyl siloxane materials inoculated with B. subtilis was effective after 120 and 180 seconds. CONCLUSION. The atmospheric pressure non-thermal air plasma device was effective in killing both E. coli and B. subtilis, and was more effective in killing E. coli than the UV sterilizer.
In order to determine the influence of low atmospheric pressure on serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT) and serum lactic dehydrogenase (SLDH) activities of rats, blood samples were collected from laboratory-conditioned male rats of the Sprague-Dawley strain which were randomly grouped into control and the experimental subjected to a series of one hour-exposure a day to low atmospheric pressure of 500 and 380mmHg up to the the time of 15 day. Results obtained indicated that decompression caused marked alterations in SGOT and SLDH levels when compared to that of the control. The trend of increases or decreases in these enzyme levels were similar in both 500 and 380mmHg exposed rats although the changes were greater in the latter group. Thus, generally all the experimental rats showed temporary steady state to low atmospheric pressure. Changes in enzymatic contents depended on the intensity and extent of the environmental stress under study. The lower the atmospheric pressure the greater is the effect on these serum enzyme levels.

Precise analysis of local winds for the prediction of atmospheric phenomena in the planetary boundary layer is extremely important. In this study, wind profiler data with fine time resolution and density in the lower troposphere were used to improve the performance of a numerical atmospheric model of a complex coastal area. Three-dimensional variational data assimilation (3DVAR) was used to assimilate profiler data. Two experiments were conducted to determine the effects of the profiler data on model results. First, we performed an observing system experiment. Second, we implemented a sensitivity test of data assimilation intervals to extend the advantages of the profiler to data assimilation. The lowest errors were observed when using both radio sonde and profiler data to interpret vertical and surface observation data. The sensitivity to the assimilation interval differed according to the synoptic conditions when the focus was on the surface results. The sensitivity to the weak synoptic effect was much larger than to the strong synoptic effect. The hourly-assimilated case showed the lowest root mean square error (RMSE, 1.62 m/s) and highest index of agreement (IOA, 0.82) under weak synoptic conditions, whereas the statistics in the 1, 3, and 6 hourly-assimilated cases were similar under strong synoptic conditions. This indicates that the profiler data better represent complex local circulation in the model with high time and vertical resolution, particularly when the synoptic effect is weak.
Mt. Bongeui is a neighborhood park of 66.4 ha as a major natural landscape resource located in the center of Chuncheon City. This study quantified the reduction of carbon, $SO_2$, $NO_2$, $O_3$, and $PM_{2.5}$, and the production of $O_2$ to explore the role for Mt. Bongeui to contribute to annual atmospheric purification. The main forest types and age classes of the study site included age-class III broadleaved forest at 35.8%, age-class VI coniferous forest at 17.2%, and age-class IV broadleaved forest at 15.7%. The annual atmospheric purification effect per unit area was as follows: 7.6 t carbon/ha/yr, 16.6 kg $SO_2/ha/yr$, 40.4 kg $NO_2/ha/yr$, 41.5 kg $O_3/ha/yr$, 53.7 kg $PM_{2.5}/ha/yr$, and 20.2 t $O_2/ha/yr$. The economic value of these effects was equivalent to about 12.9 million KRW/ha/yr. The study site annually offset carbon emissions of about 300 citizens, $SO_2$ emissions of 220 citizens, and $NO_2$ emissions of 92 citizens in Chuncheon. It also played an important role in annually producing 1.5% of the amount of $O_2$ necessary for the respiration of Chuncheon's total population. This study pioneers in comprehensively quantifying the atmospheric purification effect and could be useful in guiding the planning and management to improve the effect.
In this study, the Slab Ocean Model (SOM) is coupled with an Atmospheric General Circulation Model (AGCM) which developed in University of Kangnung based on the land surface model of Biosphere-Atmosphere Transfer Scheme (BATS). The purposes of this study are to understand radiative role of clouds considering of the atmospheric feedback, and to compare the Clouds Radiative Forcing (CRF) come from the analyses using the clear-cloud sky method and CGCM. The new CGCM was integrated by using two sets of the clouds with radiative role (EXP-A) and without radiative role (EXP-B). Clouds in this two cases show the negative effect $-26.0\;Wm^{-2}$ of difference of radiation budget at top of atmosphere (TOA). The annual global means radiation budget of this simulation at TOA is larger than the estimations ($-17.0 Wm^{-2}$) came from Earth Radiation Budget Experiment (ERBE). The work showed the surface negative effect with $-18.6 Wm^{-2}$ in the two different simulations of CRF. Otherwise, sensible heat flux in the simulation shows a great contribution with positive forcing of $+24.4 Wm^{-2}$. It is found that cooling effect to the surface temperature due to radiative role of clouds is about $7.5^{\circ}C$. From this study it could make an accurate of the different CRF estimation considering either feedback of EXP-B or not EXP-A under clear-sky and cloud-sky conditions respectively at TOA. This result clearly shows its difference of CRF $-11.1 Wm^{-2}$.

In the present investigation, a numerical model developed for the prediction of the wind flow over complex terrain is validated by comparing with the field experiments. For the solution of the Reynolds - Averaged Clavier- stokes equations which are the governing equations of the microscale atmospheric flow, the model is constructed based on the finite-volume formulation and the SIMPLEC pressure-correction algorithm for the hydrodynamic computation. The boundary- fitted coordinate system is employed for the detailed depiction of topography. The boundary conditions and the modified turbulence constants suitable for an atmospheric boundary- layer are applied together with the k- s turbulence model. The full- scale experiments of Cooper's Ridge, Kettles Hill and Askervein Hill are chosen as the validation cases . Comparisons of the mean flow field between the field measurements and the predicted results show good agreement. In the simulation of the wind flow over Askervein Hill , the numerical model predicts the three dimensional flow separation in the downslope of the hill including the blockage effect due to neighboring hills . Such a flow behavior has not been simulated by the theoretical predictions. Therefore, the present model may offer the most accurate prediction of flow behavior in the leeside of the hill among the existing theoretical and numerical predictions.
