  • The illegal copying and redistribution of digitally-stored information is a crucial problem to distributors who electronically sell digital data. fingerprinting scheme is a technique which supports copyright protection to track redistributors of electronic information using cryptographic techniques. Anonymous asymmetric fingerprinting scheme prevents the merchant from framing a buyer by making the fingerprinted version known to the buyer only. And this scheme allows the buyer to purchase goods without revealing her identity to the seller. In this paper, a new anonymous asymmetric fingerprinting scheme with TTP is introduced. The buyer's fingerprint is generated by the Fingerprint Certificate Authority which is a TTP. When the seller embeds the fingerprint in the digital data, the protocol uses the homomorphic encryption scheme. Thus the seller cannot know the buyer's fingerprint and the buyer's anonymity is guaranteed by using anonymous key pair.

  • A stereo audio digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with a power amplifier using asymmetric pulse-width modulation (PWM) is presented. To adopt class-D amplifier mainly used in high-power audio appliances for head-phones application, this work analyzes the noise caused by the inter-channel interference during the integration and optimizes the design of the sigma-delta modulator to decrease the performance degradation caused by the noise. The asymmetric PWM is implemented to reduce switching noise and power loss generated from the power amplifier. This proposed architecture is fabricated in 0.13-mm CMOS technology. The proposed audio DAC including the power amplifier with single-ended output achieves a dynamic range (DR) of 95-dB dissipating 4.4-mW.

  • Traditional watermarking technologies are symmetric method which embedding and detection keys are same. Although the symmetric watermarking method is easy to detect the watermark, has method has weakness against to malicious attacks to remove or modify the watermark information when the symmetric key is disclosure. Recently, the asymmetric watermarking method that has different keys to embed and detect is watched several researchers as a next generation watermarking technology. In this paper, we have expanded search space of secret key using the solution set of linear simultaneous equations. Secret key is generated by secure linear transformation method to prevent of guessing secret key from public key, and the correlation value between secret key and public key is high. At the results, the multi bits information can be embedded and high correlation value was detected after JPEG compression.

  • The volatility in the stock market responds differently to information types. That is, the asymmetric volatility exists in the stock market which responds more to unexpected negative returns due to bad news than unexpected positive returns due to good news. This paper examines the asymmetric response of the volatility of KOSPI, large-cap, middle-cap, and small-cap indices returns which is announced in Korea exchange (KRX) by using the MA-GJR model and the MA-EGARCH model. According to empirical analyses, it shows that the asymmetric response of volatility exists in all indices regardless of volatility estimation models and the degree of the asymmetric volatility response of the small-cap index returns is greater than that of the large-cap index returns. Moreover, this results also observed robustly during the period of both before and after the global financial crisis.

  • Wavefront-coding imaging can achieve high-quality imaging along with a wide range of defocus. In this paper, the anti-laser detection and damage performance of wavefront-coding imaging systems using different asymmetric phase masks are studied, through modeling and simulation. Based on FresnelKirchhoff diffraction theory, the laser-propagation model of the wavefront-coding imaging system is established. The model uses defocus distance rather than wave aberration to characterize the degree of defocus of an imaging system. Then, based on a given defocus range, an optimization method based on Fisher information is used to determine the optimal phase-mask parameters. Finally, the anti-laser detection and damage performance of asymmetric phase masks at different defocus distances and propagation distances are simulated and analyzed. When studying the influence of defocus distance, compared to conventional imaging, the maximum single-pixel receiving power and echo-detection receiving power of asymmetric phase masks are reduced by about one and two orders of magnitude respectively. When exploring the influence of propagation distance, the maximum single-pixel receiving power of asymmetric phase masks decreases by about one order of magnitude and remains stable, and the echodetection receiving power gradually decreases with increasing propagation distance, until it approaches zero.

Although the symmetric watermarking method is easy to detect the watermark, this method has weakness against to malicious attacks remove or modify the watermark information when the symmetric key is disclosure. Recently, the asymmetric watermarking method that has different keys to embed and detect is watched by several researchers as a next generation watermarking technology. In this paper, hybrid asymmetric watermarking algorithm is proposed. This algorithm is composed of correlation detection method and critical criteria method. Each method can be individually used to detect watermark from a watermarked content. Hybrid asymmetric detection is complement between two methods, and more feasible than when each method is used respectively, Private key and public key are generated by secure linear transformation and specific matrix. As a result, we have proved the proposed algorithm is secured than symmetric watermarking algorithms. This algorithm can expand to multi bits embedding watermark system and is robust to JPEG and JPEG2000 compression.

  • The electrical characteristics of NMOSFETs with asymmetrical source/drain regions have been expermentally investigated using test devices fabricated by $0.35\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS technology. The performance degradation for asymmetric transistor and its causes are analyzed. The parasitic resistances, such as series resistance of active regions and silicide junction contact resistance, are distributed in parallel along the channel. Depending on source/drain geometry, the array of those resistances is changed, that results the various electrical properties.

  • A convolution algorithm combined with Fourier transformation is applied to the tomographic reconstruction of the asymmetric soot structure to identify the local soot volume fraction distribution. The line of sight integrated data from light extinction measurement with multi-angular scanning form basic information for the deconvolution. Multi-peak following interpolation technique is applied to obtain the effect of increasing number of scanning angles. Measurement of LII signal for the same flame shows the validity of this reconstruction technigue.

  • For the asymmetric digital subscriber line communications, the paper proposes a new echo canceller with the so-called CALAOI(CAscade of LAttice and Orthogonalized IIR) structure, which comprises of a lattice and an orthogonalized IIR structure. Through simulations, the CALAOI echo canceller was verified to have much fewer complexity of computations and has faster convergence speed than conventional FIR echo canceller. The CALAOI echo canceller is predicted to maximize performances of communication services in high speed communications such as VDSL, GIGA bit Ethernet, and so on as well as ADSL.
