The more liquid the capital market, the more attractive it will be for investors to place their money in the capital market. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that influence stock liquidity of manufacturing sector companies listed on the stock exchange in Indonesia. The independent variables used in this study are forward-looking information disclosure, institutional ownership, foreign ownership, and board activity with information asymmetry as an intervening variable and stock liquidity as the dependent variable. The population of this study is manufacturing sector companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange (IDX). Samples are selected based on the random sampling method, and the number of samples is calculated based on the Slovin formula. The sample was 59 manufacturers, and data was annual reports (for 2 years) and stock transactions from 2016 to 2017. The results of the study showed that forward-looking information disclosure had a significant effect on information asymmetry. Information asymmetry and foreign ownership have a significant impact on stock liquidity, whereas information asymmetry mediates the relationship between forward-looking disclosures and stock liquidity. Furthermore, the accuracy of information about the certainty of business activity both now and in the future can instill confidence in stakeholders in interacting and cooperating.
Some model building codes stipulate that the design displacement of a building can be computed using the elastic static analysis results multiplied by the deflection amplification factor, $C_d$. This approach for estimating the design displacement is essential and appealing in structural engineering practice when nonlinear response history analysis (NRHA) is not required. Furthermore, building codes stipulate the consideration of accidental torsion effects using accidental eccentricity, whether the buildings are symmetric-plan, or asymmetric-plan. In some model building codes, the accidental eccentricity is further amplified by the torsional amplification factor $A_x$ in order to minimize the discrepancy between statically and dynamically estimated responses. Therefore, this warrants exploration of the reliability of statically estimated design displacements in accordance with the building code requirements. This study uses the discrepancy curves as a way of assessing the reliability of the design displacement estimates resulting from the factors $C_d$ and $A_x$. The discrepancy curves show the exceedance probabilities of the differences between the statically estimated design displacements and NRHA results. The discrepancy curves of 3-story, 9-story, and 20-story example buildings are investigated in this study. The example buildings are steel special moment frames with frequency ratios equal to 0.7, 1.0, 1.3, and 1.6, as well as existing eccentricity ratios ranging from 0% to 30%.

Numerical computations were conducted to characterize the three-dimensional laminar flow through an injector orifice having an inclined angle of 30 .deg.. For this study, the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in generalized curvilinear coordinates, using a pseudocompressibility approach for continuity equation, were solved. The computations were performed using the finite difference implicit, approximately factored scheme of Beam and Warming and multi-block grids of complete continuity at block interfaces. The multi-block computations were validated for the steady state using direct comparison of multi-block solutions with equivalent single-block ones, including 2-D 180.deg. TAD and 3-D 90.deg. pipe bend. The comparisons between the numerical solutions and the flow field measurements for a tube with sudden contraction were presented in this work for solution validation. Computational results showed the nature of complex flow fields within the inclined injector orifice, including strong pressure-driven secondary flows in the cross stream induced by the effect of streamline curvature. In addition, asymmetric secondary flows were induced in the Reynolds number range above assumed laminar flow regime considered. However, turbulence calculations and grid dependency studies are needed for more accurate computations.

Ice formation in a horizontal circular cylinder has been studied numerically. From the numerical analysis results, it was found that there were three types of freezing pattern and that freezing phenomenon was affected largely by density inversion and cooling rate. The type of freezing pattern largely depends on the secondary flow which is generated by density inversion. When supercooling energy is released before the development of the secondary flow, the annular ice layer grows. If the energy is released when the secondary flow is considerably developed and the supercooled region is removed to the upper half part of the cylinder, an asymmetric ice layer grows. And if the energy is released after perfect development of the secondary flow, instantaneous dendritic ice formation over the full region occurs. Furthermore, this secondary flow was found to have an effect on heat transfer characteristics. The heat transfer rate becomes small at the instant when the secondary flow is generated, but becomes large with the development of the flow. It's concluded that for the facilitation of heat transfer it is desirable to keep water in liquid phase until the secondary flow is perfectly developed. This study gave an instruction of performance improvement of capsule type ice storage tank.
In this paper, proposes Kerberos certification mechanism that improve certification service of PKINIT base that announce in IETF CAT Working Group. Bid to certificate other realm because search position of outside realm through DNS and apply X.509 directory certification system, acquire public key from DNS server by chain (CertPath) between realms by certification and Key exchange way that provide service between realms applying X.509, DS/DNS of PKINIT base. In order to provide regional services, Certification and key exchange between realms use Kerberos symmetric method and Session connection used Directory service to connection X.509 is designed using an asymmetric method. By efficient TGT (Ticket Granting Ticket) exchange and reusability of ticket, A Design of Kerberos system that have effect and simplification of certification formality that reduce overload on communication.
An experimental investigation of the flow over the rectangular body located in close proximity to a ground board was reported using the particle image velocimetry (PIV) technique. The present experiments were conducted in a closed-loop open surface water channel with the Reynolds number, $Re_H=1.2{\times}10^4$ based on the model height. In addition to the PIV measurements, flow visualization studies were also carried out. The PIV technique provided instantaneous and time-averaged velocity vectors map, vorticity contours, streamline topology and turbulent quantities at various locations in the near wake. In the vertical symmetry plane, the upperbody flow is separated from the sharp top leading edge of the model and formed a large reverse flow region on the upper surface of the model. The flow structure downstream of the model has asymmetric double vortices. In the horizontal symmetry plane, identical separated flow regions occur on both vertical side walls and a pair of primary recirculatory bubbles dominates the wake region.
Purpose - If control-ownership disparity is large, managers will not actively reduce costs; rather, they will maintain unutilized resources or possess surplus resources even when sales decrease with the purpose of increasing personal utility from status, power, compensation, and prestige. These managers' utility maximizing tendencies cause cost stickiness. We examine whether asymmetric behavior related to costs becomes stronger when there is a large disparity between ownership and control rights. Research design, data, and methodology - We construct a regression model to examine the relationship between control-ownership disparity and cost stickiness. STICKY, a dependent variable representing cost stickiness is a value found using the method of Weiss (2010), and Disparity is an interest variable that shows control-ownership disparity. Results - This study is based from the unique situations in Korea, in which high control-ownership disparity is common in firms. Large control-ownership disparity was found to increase cost stickiness of corporations. Conclusions - The results of this study imply that controlling shareholders may be regarded as a threat to the interests of minority shareholders and corporate values especially when controlling shareholders have significant influence over managers or the power to make managerial decisions as owners of a corporation.
As generally recognized, the driving performance of a SRM at higher speed will be degraded due to the effects of back electromagnetic force (EMF). This phenomenon can be improved via voltage boosting. So in this paper an improved converter of enhancing the performance for four-phase switched reluctance motor (SRM) is proposed. By using one additional capacitor and switches, an extra controllable boosted voltage can be produced during the rise and fall periods of a motor phase current. Then this active boosted voltage can reduce the effect of EMF on the current, particularly at high speeds. The attractive features of the proposed converter are as follows: obtaining boosted voltage to improve performance of SRM with same numbers of switch and diode as asymmetric converter, having higher control flexibility and capability of boosting voltage compared with passive boosting converters, possessing lower cost and simple control in comparison with existing active boosting converters. The performances of the proposed circuit are verified by the simulation and experiment results.
Satellite sea ice data from 1978 to the present reveal that the perennial ice (or ice that survives the summer) has been rapidly declining at almost 10% per decade. Warming due to increases in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is now also being reflected in winter with drastic reductions in the maximum extent observed in 2005 and 2006. The retreat of the perennial ice also exposes more open water and has revealed an asymmetric distribution of chlorophyll a pigment concentration in the Arctic basin. Phytoplankton blooms are most dominant at high latitudes, partly on account of sea ice, but in the Arctic basin, it appears that pigment concentrations in the Eastern (Laptev Sea) Region are on the average three times higher than those in the Western (Beaufort Sea) Region. Such asymmetry suggests that despite favorable conditions provided by the melt of sea ice, there are other factors that affects the productivity of the region. The asymmetry is likely associated with much wider shelf areas in the East than in the West, with sea ice processes that inhibits the availability of nutrients near the surface in deep water regions, and river run-off that affects nutrient availability. The primary productivity in the pan-Arctic region have been estimated using the pigment concentrations and PAR derived from SeaWiFS data and the results show large seasonal as well as interannual variability during the 1998 to 2005 period. The data points towards increasing productivity for later years but with only 9 years of data it is too early to tell the overall effect of the sea ice retreat.
In a two-stage two-level balanced nested design, type I error rates for the parametric tests and the rank transformed tests for the main effects and the nested effects are in overall similar to each other. Furthermore, powers for the rank transformed statistic for the main effects and the nested effects in a two-stage two-level balanced nested design are generally superior to powers for the parametric statistic When the effect size and the sample size are increased, we can find that powers increase for the parametric statistic and the rank transformed statistic are dramatically improved. Especially for the case of the fixed effects in the asymmetric distributions such as an exponential distribution, powers for the rank transformed tests are quite high rather than powers for the parametric tests.
