This paper is to present an iterative method for determining an optimum geographic location pattern for the warehouses (sources) that are employed to serve or supply, known quantities of its finished product to a set of custormer areas (destinations) that have fixed and known locations, where the number of sources is permitted to vary. What must be determined, in this paper, is the number and location of the sources or warehouses that will minimize the combined costs of transferring and storing the total quantity of products demanded in the destinations or customer areas.

This paper is focused on the development of the RIVNET1 model, which is a dynamic wave model, for flood analysis in dendritic river networks with arbitrary cross-sections. This model adopted the $-point implicit RDM and utilized a relaxation algorithim in order to solve the governing equations. The double-sweep method was used to reduce the C.P.U. time to solve the matrix system of the model. This model is applied the analyze flood waves of the Ohid river in the U.S.A. and the Keum river in Korea. The results of analysis obtained from this model are compared with those of the DWOPER and observed data.

본 논문을 통하여 인터넷 환경의 B2B 마켓플레이스에서 경쟁 기업들 간에 왜 그리고 어떻게 협력(Collaboration)이 가능한지 살펴본다. 시스템 다이나믹스 시뮬레이션을 활용하여 잠정적으로 도달한 결론은 경쟁 기업들의 그러한 협력이 시장 수요의 증가를 가져오고 이를 통해 증대된 이윤을 실현할 수 있을 때 그와 같은 관계가 가능하다는 것이다. 즉, 경쟁기업간 협력이 지속가능하기 위해서는 기업간 협력이 시장 수요를 확대하고 그 결과로 개별 기업이(비록 시장 점유율이 하락하는 경우가 있을지라도) 더 많은 절대적인 이윤을 얻을 수 있어야 한다. 경우에 따라서는 파이를 분배하기 전에 파이의 절대적인 크기를 키우는 것이 좋다는 것과 유사한 논리이다.

From the measurements of infrared and fluorescence spectra riboflavin-2',3',4',5'-tetraacetate has been found to associate with penicillin-V more than strongly with themselves. They form the 1 : 1 cyclic hydrogen bonded dimer through the imino and the 2-C carbonyl groups of the isoalloxazine ring and the imino group of the penicillin-V ressidue. Pernicillin-V is an effective quencher of the fluorescence of riboflavin through hydrogen bonds partly due to the collision interaction with the penicillin ring.

In this paper we deal with the duality theory of optimality for an optimal control problem governed by a class of second order evolution equations. First we establish the dual control systems by using conjugate functions and then associate them to the original optimization problem.

Focusing on the strength of son preference obtained from two surveys of the same area, an attempt has been made to measure the change on the IS value scale that many have occurred over the last seven-year period, the underlying assumption here being that the strength of son preference wanes in inverse proportion to the level of society's socio-economic development. Various methodological approaches have been put to test to weigh the importance of the sex preference as a dependent variable, as an independent variable, and as an intermediate variable. A few methodological issues are suggested.

The tube anemone, Cerianthus filiformis Carlgren, was collected from nine localities in the Yellow Sea and the Korea Strait (the South Sea). Populations at different localities showed color variations in tentacles from pale brown to violet. This species is redescribed here because it shows the color variation and the association with the phoronid, Phoronis australis, which was newly recorded from Korean waters. The phoronid has black to purple tentacles shaded with the same color as the cerianthid's tube for mimicking.

In laser ionisation mass spectrometry (LIMS) atoms and molecules which are desorbed from solid surfaces are ionised by an intense laser beam. The photoions which are created are then mass analysed in a time-of-flight mass spectromenter. In best situations, 10% of the ejected particles can be detected, giving the technique^g , pp b sensitivity. Since the ionisation and desorption steps are separated, matrix effects are minimised, in contrast to competitor techniques like SIMS, so quantitation is improved. The talk will illustrate the application of LIMS to basic studies in sputtering in Sr, Cu3Au(100) and Ni3Al(100) as well as ultratrace analysis of Zr in Si.

We propose a smoothing estimator of mean residual life function based on Ghorai and Susarla's (1990) smooth estimator of distribution function under random censorship model and provide the asymptotic properties of this estimator. The Monte Carlo simulation is performed to compare the proposed estimator with the other estimators and an exmple is also given using the real data.
