  • To increase the robustness of tile feedforward tracking control system, a new discrete time sliding function has been defined and utilized for the formulation of control law, In adaptive case the robustness is achieved by using both a normalized gradient algorithm with deadzone and a sliding function-based nonlinear feedback, while in nonadaptive case by using only a sliding function-based nonlinear feedback.

  • Features are generic shapes with which engineers associate certain attributes and knowledge useful in reasoning about the product. Feature-based modeling systems support additional levels of information beyond those available in geometric modelers. The objective of this study is to develop a PC level feature-based modeling system which explicitly represents dimensions of the part. The feature-based modeler retains all the benefits of traditional B-rep. solid models, and represents the dimensions at a high level of a abstraction so that dimension driven geometry can be achieved.

  • In this paper, we defined constructivism and ontology theory and associate it in ubiquitous learning. The typical ubiquitous learning involving the Context Aware Intelligent system was presented. Also the Architecture for learning environment including the key idea and technical concept is being presented in this paper. Guided with these principles and with the advancement of information and communication technology the context-awareness based on Artificial intelligence for Location based Service for ubiquitous Learning was conceptualized.

  • In this paper, the hypergraph is fuzzified. In a hypoergraph, there are 3types of sets which can be fuzzified. According to the fuzzificatioin level, 7 types of fuzzy hypergraphs can be obtained. After defining the 7 thpes of hypergraphs, some interesting concepts are developed such as the order, size and degree of such as the order, size and degree of the fuzzy hypergraph.

  • Pseudanthessius spinosus n. sp. is described as an associate of the sea urchin Clypeaster japonicus Doderlein from Cheju Island in Korea. The new species may be easily distinguished from its congeners by having four spines and five setae on the third exopodal segment of leg 4. It is the second known species of the genus from Korean waters.

  • This paper describes the characteristics and outline of the Japan trade EDI project and proposes a vision for the future. The results are as follows; First, the TEDI(Trade EDI) project was initiated to promote paperless trading(using XML documents) on open networks such as the Internet, and to construct associated legal structures. Second there is converting harbor EDI system in existing EDI to single window system. Third, the NACCS system has been put into operation in Japan. To develope NACCS system must associate other system such as financial, insurance, logistic.

  • In this paper, we show how to associate certain topologies with special ideals of BCC-algebras on these BCC-algebras. We show that it is natural for BCC-algebras to be topological BCC-algebras with respect to theses topologies. Furthermore, we show how certain standard properties may arise. In addition we demonstrate that it is natural for these topologies to have many clopen sets and thus to be highly connected via the ideal theory of BCC-algebras.

  • Manning's roughness factor to flow in sand-bed channels may be divided into the grain roughness factor nd the form roughness factor. The grain roughness factor may be dedermined by using Keulegan's formula. By using available experimental data, it was found there is a unique relationship between the form roughness and the hydraulic radius to sediment particle size ratio for a given value of the Froude number. The form roughness and the bed form may be determined by using this unique relationship. The technique for engineering applications of the results appears to be quite simple.

  • Three representative dam-break models, HEC-1, DAMBRK, and SMPDBK were analyzed respectively in their theories and then applied to the failure of Teton Dam for which some observed data exist. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that:(1)HEC-1, which uses the hydrologic routing method, produces stable solutions for almost all the cases that were tested in this study :(2)DAMBRK, which uses the dynamic routing method, is most accurate among the three models ;(3)SMPDBK, which uses the generalized dyanmic routing relationships, is most economical and easily applicable.
