Part Route Selection in FMS with Unit Load Based Material Handling (단위운송량에 바탕을 둔 물류흐름으로 된 유연제조 시스템에서 작업경로 선택)

  • This paper considers the part assignment to workstations in flexible manufactuirng system (FMS). Parts are processed through several workstations according to processing order. The machines of each workstation can do multiple Processing functions. Therefore, a processing of a part can be processed in several workstations, which are non-identical in functional performance. Although a processing of a part can be processed in the multiple workstations, it has to be processed in only one among available several workstations, Parts are transported with unit load by automated guided vehicles (AGVs). The criteria of part assignment is to minimize the maximum value of the processing times of each workstation and the total transport times of vehicles. Model formulation is suggested, and numerical example is shown.

A Study on Development of Domestic School Library Standard (우리나라 학교도서관 기준에 관한 연구)

  • This study researched the domestic School Library Standards(SLS), and analyzed specificities and differences by criteria. The Ministry of Education, Science & Technology have enacted the School Library Promotion Law(SLPL) supporting school library. SLPL and SLS could not reflect a change of school library environments in recent years. In particular, these standards have the problems with budget assignment, educational services, information resources, and human resources. Therefore, this study suggested a new model of SLS and set up some definite criteria for school library management.

Generalized Kinematics Modeling of Wheeled Mobile Robots (바퀴형 이동로봇의 기구학)

  • The previous kinematic analysis of wheeled mobile robots(WMRs) is performed in an ad-hoc manner, while those of the robot manipulators are done in a consistent way using the coordinate system assignment and the homogeneous transformation matrix. This paper shows why the method for the robot manipulators cannot be used directly to the WMRs and proposes the method for the WMRs, which contains modeling the wheel with the Sheth-Uicker notation and the homogeneous transformation. The proposed method enable us to model the velocity kinematics of the WMRs in a consistent way. As an implementation of the proposed method, the Jacobian matrices were obtained for conventional steered wheel and non-steered wheel respectively and the forward and inverse velocity kinematic solutions were calculated fur a tricycle typed WMR. We hope that our proposed method comes to hold an equivalent roles for WMRs, as that of the manipulators does for the robot manipulators.

A Design of Routing Path and Wavelength Assignment with Fairness in WDM Optical Transport Network (WDM 광전달망에서 공정성을 갖는 경로설계 및 파장할당)

  • This paper considers the efficient design of routing path and wavelength assignment in the single-hop WDM optical transport networks. The connection demands between node-pairs are given and a connection between a pair of nodes must be made by only one lightpath. It is assumed that no wavelength conversion is allowed and the physical topology of the network and the number of available wavelengths of a physical link are also given. This paper proposes the method to route a path and assign a wavelength to the path, which guarantees fairness to every node pair. In order to guarantee fairness and maximize connections, an optimization model is established, which successively maximizes minimum connection ratio to the demand of each node pair. A heuristic algorithm with polynomial iterations is developed for the problem since the problem is NP-hard. The heuristic algorithm is implemented and applied to the networks with real problem sizes. The results of the application are compared with GAMS/OSL.

  • In the paper, the bilinear transformation method is applied to the design of servo system adopting the use of the internal model principle and the pole assignment method in a specified region. The pole assignment problem for the augmented system has been solved by using Tustin's function. The properties of Tustin's function have been shown in relation to the s-plane and z-planes, and the feedback law relationship between the original system and the transformed system has been cleared. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is proved via application for the cart system and the designed cart system is implemented by digital control with microcomputer and A-D/D-A converter.

  • Pole assignment adaptive controller has been suggested for automatic regulation of blood pressure by means of hypertinsive of hypotensive drugs. The relationship between the drug infusion rate and the blood pressure was described by an ARMA model. This adaptive algorithm does not reguire preliminary tests for the purpose of tuning the parameters, and have the capability to adjust automatically to changes in the curculatory state of subject. Experimental results on rabbits showed that stable control are occurred during operation. On the basis of theoretical considerations and experimental results, we expected that adaptive drug infusion system using pole assignment procedure might be effectively applied to the blood pressure control in clinical application.

  • Curing recent years, several state-space models describing discrete two dimensional systems are proposed. In this paper, we consider the problem of pole assignment of two dimensional systems using state feedback, based on state-space model proposed by Roessser. The design procedure is seperated into two steps. in thie first step, the sufficient condition for off diagonal matrix of the input transformed system to be zero is derived and in the second step, it is shown that the pole assignment problem of two dimensional systems is divided into the one of two 1-dimensional systems. Finally, a numerical example for illustrating the technique is given.

  • 본 연구에서는 통행배정 모형이 갖는 여러 가지 가정 중 대칭적 통행비용 함수를 갖는 가정을 극복할 수 있는 방법에 대해 살펴보았다. 통행배정 문제에 있어서 대칭적 비용함수 가정이라는 것은 링크의 통행비용은 다른 링크의 교통량에 전혀 영향을 받지 않는 않으면서, 동시에 해당 링크를 통과하는 단하나의 수단에 의해서만 결정된다는 의미이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 가정을 극복할 수 있는 비대칭 통행배정모형의 특성을 살펴보고, 그 해석 모형에 대해 고찰하였다. 이 때 대표적 비대칭 통행배정 문제인 다수단 통행배정 모형을 중심으로 문제를 정의하여 검토하였다. 대각화(Diagonalized) 알고리즘과 Column Generation에 기반한 heuristic 모형을 다수단 통행배정 모형에 적용하여 그 결과를 분석하였다. 그 과정을 통해 대각화 알고리즘은 초기해의 수단과 수렴기준 수단에 따라 서로다른 해를 갖는 복수의 평형해(Equilibria)특성을 가지고 있었다. 그에 비해 Column Generation에 기반한 heuristic 모형은 Euclidean Norm을 이용한 부분최적화를 통해 복수의 평형해(Equilibria)에 관한 문제점을 개선할 수 있었다.

  • The 10t/d pyrolysis demonstration plant have been developed for waste tire recycling treatment and value added commercialization. The initial plant model had been started under 2.4t/d capacity with continuous operation, and the commercial plant has been achieved to the 120t/d based on demonstration plant having the tube reactor with chain conveyer attached disk. The next generation pyrolysis plant for waste tire is reviewed and the assignment for plant development is presented briefly.

The Storage Method of a Leaf Tobacco Warehouse in Leaf Tobacco Factory (원료공장 잎담배 창고의 저장방법)

  • This study deals with the leaf tobacco assignment problem of a leaf tobacco warehouse with multiple input points and single output point. Also, the number of storage frequences is not necessary the same as that of retrieval for each leaf tobacco. A mathematical model is developed with the objective of minimizing the total travel distance associated with storage and retrieval operations. We also develop several heuristics based on the retrieval order frequency, retrieval/storage frequency ratio of leaf tobacco, and ABC curve. It is observed that the ABC curve based heuristic gives the best solution which is near optimal. Based on the test results from real world data, the ABC curve based heuristic is found to give a best performance. Comparing to current assignment method, the ABC curve based heuristic reduced total travel distance about 17.2%.
