Two-way specification table for educational objectives proposed by B.S.Bloom, which is useful in reviewing and determining the objectives of instructions, is widely used in schools. However, differences in subject matters and school environments require various types of two-way specification table. Extensible markup language (XML) can be effectively applied for two-way specification table for educational objectives because it is well structured and the content of an XML document can be separated from its presentation. In this paper, the document type definition (DTD) for two-way specification table was designed. An example of XML document and XSL style sheet for the table were also presented. Furthermore, applications of the designed DTD were discussed. It is expected that the proposed DTD can be useful to various applications related to education assesment.

This study was conducted to explore the communication processes and contents between cooperating teachers and their student teachers during student teaching conferences. To reach this purpose, five research questions were generated. 15 cooperating teachers and their 15 student teachers from 9 kindergartens located in Seoul and Ilsan city participated in the study. The conferences of each dyad were tape-recorded for further analysis. "Analyzing System for Interaction of Learning" designed by Thies-Sprinthall was used to analyze the data. The research findings were as follows: First, cooperating teachers talked more than the student teacher during the conference. Second, the cooperating teachers used more directive talk than indirective talk. Third, the speaking patterns of the student teachers revealed that student teachers express their opinions frequently(55.6% of total pattern). Fourth, cooperating teachers focused their remarks more on the instructional issues(48.5%). The cooperating teachers emphasized on the operation of class(23.1%), other subject(12.3%), practical guidance(10.7%), self-assesment(5.4%) in order. Fifth, the most emphasized issue by student teachers was the instructional matters which was reported by 53.4% of the entire subjects.

This study is a fundamental research for light house heritage which has historical and cultural value to be designated as cultural heritage. Therefore, the institution of designated and registered cultural heritage are to be reviewed and proper standards of choosing suitable light house heritage are to be arranged. Some elements to be considered for the proper regulation criteria are authenticity of cultural assets, assesment base and guideline of conservation and management.

This study had been carried out to analyze the relationship among the personal variables, the variales of life style and physical and mental health status of workers. In order to analyze the influence of industrial worker's life-style on physical and mental health status of workers, explore the relaionship between healh status and their life-style. Special interest in this study was the assesment of worker's physical and mental health status measured by the Todai Health Index(THI)-a self-adminstered health stutus screening instrument developed by a University of and Gumma research team. Data were collected from an industry of 1,495 workers at city of Chang Won in Korea. 1. The young age group especially the group who had short work duraion less than two years had high THI scores which were statistically significant. 2. A worker who followed 6∼7 good life style scores were found to be associated with better health status than those who followed 0-3 bad life style scores in most of all dimensions of physical and mental health scales of THI. 3. According to the multiple regression analysis, the variable of life style scores had the greatest influence on physical and mental health status of industrial workers. The variable of age, duration of work, and life style were included in the regression model(R²= 18.8).

This study was conducted to improve the flow uniformity inside the chip tester through changing the flow path formation according to the inlet and outlet position of chamber. The internal flow and velocity distributions of the modified chamber models (Cases 1-3) were compared with the reference chamber model through three-dimensional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with k-ε turbulence model. The modified chamber models showed the superior flow uniformity characteristics compared to the reference chamber model. To investigate the flow uniformity in the chip tester, the standard deviation of the velocity was defined and compared. Through the internal flow analysis and assesment of the standard deviation, Case 2 among the test cases including the reference model showed the best flow uniformity generally.

As a building aged, overall performance considering structural safety, equipment safety and fire safety is lowering gradually. Since the building performance and the overall value of the building change as time elapse, exact safety performance of the building should be evaluated not only maintaining the building efficiently and also preventing disputes between buyer and seller of the building. We suggest major elements for assessing building's safety performance through surveying literatures, interviewing experts, reviewing existing assessment models, The assessment elements proposed here ate comprised of structural safety, equipment safety, fire safety, fire protection and fire escape, etc. This study helps to make a safety performance assessment criteria for a building.

In this study, the impact load on concrete compression member was considered to assess the quantitative damage index. The case study was carried out using the LS-DYNA, on explicit finite element analysis program. The parameters for the case study were impact load angle, slenderness ratio, etc. Using the analysis results, the performance based design method for impact load was developed using Bayesian probabilistic method, which can be applied to reinforced concrete column design for impact loads.

There has been growing interest in the quality of official statistics based on the administrative records. Such statistics take a large part in the official statistics in Korea, which are distinguished from survey statistics in aspects of data collection process. So we need specific quality management methods appropriate for official statistics based on the administrative records. This paper concerns improvement of the quality of official statistics. We first briefly review some of main issues facing the official statistics based on the administrative records in Korea and then provide quality assessment indicators for improving the quality of official statistics.

It is very important for consumers to control their buying impulse the modem market environments because of the enormous marketing pressure to induce consumers to buy. In this context, we investigated (i) the relevant factors to construct the strategies for restraining buying impulse, (ii) the frequency with which the strategies are used, and (iii) the variables related to the strategies. Data were gathered through an internet survey(azoomma.com) and total 626 cases were analysed. Self-control strategies prior to the buying impulse comprise four categories: restricting the means of payment and transportation, avoiding shopping stimulus, no-wandering around a shop, and planning a purchase. Self-control strategies after the buying impulse comprise five categories: normative assesment of impulse buying, reconsidering economic condition, postponing purchasing decision, distrusting marketing activities, and partially satisfying buying impulse. Most of married women use these strategies very often, and some psychological variables are more related with them than demographic variables. Based on findings some implications for consumer education are also discussed.

This study provides an impact assesment of climate change on energy consumption, based on active-deal scenario. This approach assumes that the amount of electric energy consumption depends on human spontaneous acts against local (REC) has ben developed by using monthly mean temperature and monthly amount of electric energy consumption in the 6 major cities over the 19-205 period. The statistical model is utilized to estimate the past and future REEC, and to assess the economic benefits and damage in energy consumption sector. For an estimation of the future REEC, climate change scenario, which is generated by National Institute of Meteorological Research, is utilized in this study. According to the model, it is estimated that over the standard period (1999~2005), there might be economic benefits of about 31 bilion Won/year in Seoul due to increasing temperature than in the 1980s. The REC is also predicted to be gradually reduced across the Korean peninsula since the 2020s. These results suggest that Korea will gain economic benefits in the REC sector during the 21st century as temperature increases under global warming scenarios.
