  • The paper presents a multifactor modelling of construction processes. There are three phases of the proposed extended procedure. Tools for these phases from chronometric test to verifying of the assumed model are indicated. Apart from the classic verification activities the method of artificial neural networks has been successfully applied. The paper presents the usage of these tools to model the process of assembly of structural corrugated steel plate structures.

  • This study deals with the productivity improvement on a flow production system with the consideration of line-balancing. In a flow production system, similar product models are produced on a same assembly line, the predefined process order and the limitation of total worker number. The system can be increased the work-in -process(WIP) inventory and the worker's idle time. In this study, the worker assignment model is developed to assign evenly workload of process to each product model in such a manner that each process has the different number of worker. This worker assignment model is the mathematical model that determines worker number in each process such that the idle time of processes is reduced and the utilization of worker is improved. We use a simulation technique to simulate the production line proposed by the mathematical model and apply real production line. With the result of simulation, this study analyzes the propriety of production line and proposes the alternatives of new production line

  • BOM has been widely used to manufacturing, product design and scheduling. There are several bug differences between Manufacturing BOM and Engineering BOM, which cause a lot of problems. A study to integrate both manufacturing BOM and Engineering BOM is researching to solve those problems. Therefore, this research presents a extended Engineering BOM concepts considering assembly sequence model.

  • The PWR Nuclear Fuel assembly consists of more than 250 fuel rods that are supported by leaf springs in the cells of more than 10 Spacer Grids (SG) along the rod length. Since it is not easy to conduct mechanical tests on a full-scale model basis, the small-scaled rod bundle $(5\times5)$ which is called partial fuel assembly is generally used for various performance tests during the development stage. As one of the small-scaled tests, a flow test should be carried out in order to verify the performance of the spacer grid to obtain the Flow-Induced Vibration (FIV) characteristics of the scaled fuel assembly over the specified flow range. A vibration test should be also performed to obtain the modal parameters of the assembly prior to the flow test. In this study, we want to develop the estimation procedure of the damping ratio for the scaled test assembly. For the damping factor of the partial fuel assembly and the grid cage at the first vibration mode, as one of the vibration tests, a so-called pluck testing has been performed in air as a preliminary test prior to in-flow damping measurement test. Logarithmic decrement method is used for calculation of the damping ratio. Estimated damping ratio of the partial fuel assembly is about $0.7\%$ with reasonable error of $2\%$ for the previous results. Nonlinear behavior of the partial fuel assembly might be stem mainly from the rod-grid support configuration.

협업적 제픔 설계를 위한 온톨로지 기반 시맨틱 조립체 모델링 (Ontology-based Semantic Assembly Modeling for Collaborative Product Design)

  • 협업적 제품 설계 환경에서는 여러 설계자가 작업에 참여하기 때문에 설계자간의 원활한 의사 소통이 필수적인 요소이다. 즉, 제품 설계에 내재되어 있는 다른 설계자의 설계의도를 파악할 수 있어야 하고, 각 설계자마다 사용하고 있는 상이한 모델링 용어에 대한 의미적 처리가 필요하다. 시맨틱 웹에서 온톨로지는 의미 정보를 명시적으로 표현할 수 있기 때문에 데이터와 서비스에 대한 통합되고 일관된 접근을 가능하게 한다. 따라서 제품을 여러 설계자가 설계하는 협업적 환경에서 온톨로지를 사용한다면 조립체내의 내포된 공학적 관계들, 공간적 관계들, 그리고 접합 관계들이 명확하게 표현되고, 추론을 통해 설계자의 의도가 파악되어 설계자간의 의사소통이 원활하게 이루어질 수 있다. 본 논문에서 는 조립체를 온톨로지를 이용하여 표현함으로써 협업적 환경에서 조립체 설계정보를 공유할 수 있는 시맨틱 조립체 모델링 프레임워크를 제안한다. 시맨틱 조립체 모델링 프레임워크에서는 조립체 관계 모델(Assembly Relationship Model, ARM)을 OWL(Web Ontology Language)와 SWRL(Semantic Web Rule Language)로 표현한다. 이를 통해 조립체 내에 내포된 공학적 관계들, 공간적 관계들, 그리고 접합 관계들이 명확하게 표현되고, 추론되어 설계 의도가 파악된다.

외경연삭 휠 주축의 진동특성에 미치는 플랜지 결합부의 영향 (Effects of Flange Joint on the Dynamic Characteristics of the External Cylindrical Grinding Wheel Spindle)

  • In the grinding process, generally, the exciting forces with high frequency can be generated due to the wheel wear and the grinding process. As the grinding speed increases, the precise investigation about the wheel dynamic characteristics is required. Conventionally the wheel-spindle has been considered with lumped model in dynamic modeling. With this lumped model, the significant mode resulted from the shell mode of wheel can be readily ignored. This paper suggests the new analysis model which includes the shell mode of wheel in modeling the wheel-spindle assembly. Furthermore, based on the suggested model, the effects of the bolt tightening force and the taper tightening force on the dynamic properties are investigated by the finite element modal analysis and the experimental method. As a result of investigation, the shell mode vibration of wheel affects the dynamic characteristics of the spindle assembly. Also, the vibration modes of the spindle assembly are significantly affected by the joint tightening forces.

지능형 자탄의 벌루트형 낙하산 설계 해석 및 시험에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design Analysis and Test of a Ballute Type Parachute of the Smart Submunition)

  • The configuration model of a ballute type RAID(Ram Air Inflated Decelerator) for reducing the high speed and high revolution of smart submuntion is designed and tested. Three dimensional incompressible turbulent flow computational fluid dynamic analysis for the assembly of ballute and submunition is performed and pressure distribution, velocity, and drag around the assembly is calculated. Aerodynamic characteristics of the ballute assembly such as air flow inside and outside of the ballute and pressure distribution is clearly shown and it's drag coefficient is computed. Trajectory analysis of the submunition is performed and is in good agreement with the descending trajectory data of experimental model tested.

  • In this paper, the digital model of the micro-factory has been established, inspected and evaluated by progress of assembly, manipulation and examination. The new paradigm of the system analysis is realized by digital simulation of the factory. The digital manufacturing system of the micro-factory was simulated through UML(Unified Modeling Language) with the object-oriented logical model analysis method and then the micro lens module assembly system was simulated with MST(Micro System Technology) Application Module.

브레이크 저더 저감을 위한 전달계 최적 설계 (The Optimal Design of Suspension Module for Brake Judder Reduction)

  • The brake judder comes from non-uniformities in the tire/wheel assembly caused by mechanical effects such as a brake torque variation (BTV). A disc thickness variation (DTV) related with the kinematic behavior of the disc was investigated a main source of BTV. In this study, a dynamic model with brake corner assembly of full vehicle using MSC.ADAMS was correlated by experiment of judder phenomenon. Judder was generated and correlated systematically by judder experiment in chassis and brake dynamometer from variation in the thickness of the disc. Also it has been found a judder transfer path and variation of the braking pressure. Through analysis of transfer function and movement of subsystem caused by BTV generation, design parameters have been found. Based on the results obtained from parameter study of suspension module, the effective design process and developed model with brake corner assembly was suggested for vibration reduction of steering wheel caused by the judder phenomenon.

  • This paper proposes a procedure for designing an accelerated test using SMAT(Stress, (failure) Mechanism and Test) model describing the relation among stress, failure mode/mechanism and test method. In SMAT model the stresses to be applied are derived from the environmental factor analysis, the relative importance of those stresses can be estimated using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and failure mode/mechanism and test method are derived from the fields failure information and FMEA(Failure Mode and Effect Analysis). By applying the procedure we can make a selection of major factors to cause the failure of assembly and design the accelerated test using DOE(Design of Experiments) The procedure is illustrated with an qualification test case study of washing machine shaft assembly in "A" electric appliance company.
