  • Automatic lens assembly system is used for automatically assembling the lens module of phone camera. In this paper, we are trying to develop the cluster type automatic lens assembly with standard tray for applying for assembly field directly. This paper proposes the principle of cluster type lens assembly system and the related assembly production line concept for optimal automatic lens production line.

  • In this paper, press and nut runner used in press-fit or tightening the bolts and nuts at assembling process of automobile parts companies continually demand accuracy and improved productivity. Simultaneous control of production systems through synchronization configuring of the combination multi press-fit system developed multi servo press system using the low-speed serial communication. As a result, the accuracy and the productivity is improved and product quality improvement could be achieved.

  • In this paper, we developed a character recognition system which could be applied to the automation of construction assembling, and testing process of components by the recognition of characters on the components used in industry department. In this system the image information of each component was caught by the CCD camera and then characters on the images were recognized automatically. If we apply the system to the industrial field it will meet the various requirements such as high productivity, low cost and high qualify products and factory automation.

  • In assembly, misalignment must be detected and compensated for during the mating period, regardless of the complexity of the cross-sectional shape. To this end, we propose a novel omnidirectional image sensing system for assembling parts with complicated shapes(OISSA) and its feasibility for detecting the misalignment between mating parts is shown by a series of simulations. This system encompasses a camera with an optical unit attached to the front of the camera. The optical unit consists of a pair of plane mirrors and a pair of conic mirrors. Utilizing the proposed sensing system, a 2$\pi$ coaxial image of the misalignment along the mating boundary interface between mating parts can be immediately obtained without experiencing self-occlusion.

  • Nowadays for reliable software and cost reduction there are many research works on software development based on component, One of the challenge in designing a component-based system is determining which components are required and where they fit in the overall system architecture. In this paper, we developed three EJB components, the first is for transforming XML DTD to relational database schema, the second is for storing XML document in relational database, and the third is for transforming XML document by retrieving relational database, By assembling these three components, we developed XML Repository system finally.

  • We present a visual programming system for signal analysis; it allows the user to construct signal processing algorithms by assembling visually fundamental signal processing blocks, and to observe the processed signals as well as the original signals in detail by magnifying a portion and measuring the time interval and amplitude between two points. Each fundamental signal processing block is implemented as an independent dynamically linked library module. Therefore, the user can expand the system processing capability by simply adding dynamically linked library modules without restructuring the entire system.

  • In this paper, an automated design system for ball-joint parts based on 3-D solid modeler is developed. Parametric modeling and API provided by 3-D solid modeler is engaged to develope the system which consists of four main modules such as : 3-D part modeling, parts assembling, 2-D drafting, and database interfacing modules. The automated design system is implemented on a computer, and shows us that it shorten the design processing time which have taken over 5 hours to only few minutes.

  • This paper develops a new nonlinear model for active control of three-dimensional (3D) irregular building structures. Both geometrical and material nonlinearities with a neuro-controller training algorithm are applied to a multi-degree-of-freedom 3D system. Two dynamic assembling motions are considered simultaneously in the control model such as coupling between torsional and lateral responses of the structure and interaction between the structural system and the actuators. The proposed control system and training algorithm of the structural system are evaluated by simulating the responses of the structure under the El-Centro 1940 earthquake excitation. In the numerical example, the 3D three-story structure with linear and nonlinear stiffness is controlled by a trained neural network. The actuator dynamics, control time delay and incident angle of earthquake are also considered in the simulation. Results show that the proposed control algorithm for 3D buildings is effective in structural control.

  • A Robot vision system with a visual skill so as take information for arbitrary target or object has been applied to auto-inspection and assembling system. It catches the moving target with the manipulator by using the information from the vision system. The robot needs some information where the moving object will place after certain time.   • Insulation system of LNG carrier has made important roles such as maintaining a proper Boil off Ratio(BOR) for the cargo and avoiding the excessive low temperature of the adjacent inner hull beyond the permissible limit. At the same time, safety and economy of the LNG transportation by the ship are connected with the performance of the insulation system. Also, thermal insulation system of LNG carrier is one of the most advanced technique with the structure analysis of tank, welding and assembling. In this study a computer program is developed to calculate the hull temperature distribution and BOR, which are important factors in thermal design for the Moss Rosenberg Verft spherical tank type LNG carrier. Detailed results for hhull temperature distribution close to LNG tank, BOR and the thickness effect of insulation material are reported in this paper in the range of standare design sea condition.
