  • Recently, reports of cruel group sexual assault in India have been frequently reported. The most prominent group sexual assault incident in India was a medical student, Joti Singh case, that six men raped her and damaged her genitals and organs on a bus and caused her death in 2012. This incident led to the launch and passage of a strong punishment bill including death penalty for sexual assault. But since then, sexual assault is still on the rise. As a result of examining the relations with regional characteristics centering on the areas where sexual assaults occurred, it was found that most of the cases of group sexual assault reported in the media occurred in the mid-north of India, and this was consistent with the region of the Hindu stressed region. If so, it can only be concluded that Hindu fundamentalism, in which female neglect is severe, is the cause. Hindu fundamentalists try to revive the traditional values of women with a strong retroism tendency. In Indian society, women are still at risk of collateral damage. The pursuit of Hindu fundamentalism by the ruling party and political leaders will require much more time to improve the women's social status and human rights.

  • Electronic monitoring system was recently introduced as an effective means of controlling certain criminal offenders. Korean society manages ex-convicts only in reliance on the electronic monitoring system, which has a clear limit. For this reason, The reorientation program should be put before anything to subdivide the perpetrators equipped with the electronic monitoring device and separate them from the others from the start, or identify their criminal propensity and heal them.

This was the first study in Korea to investigate assault and verbal abuse experienced while employed as a 'Daeri' driver. Methods: In this study, we conducted a survey to investigate people who work as 'Daeri' drivers. The survey was performed from September 1 to 7, 2014. The participants were 166 adult men and women who work as full-time 'Daeri' drivers. Results: Participants who experienced physical violence and assault from the customers to the point of disturbing safe driving in a year were 36.1% of total respondents. People who experienced verbal abuse to the point of disturbing safe driving in a year totaled 80.4% of respondents. In addition, there were also qualitative research results. Conclusions: Acts that impede safe driving are a danger to both passengers and drivers. By protecting the safety of 'Daeri' drivers, we will be able to protect the safety of citizens. Therefore, it is necessary to make an effort to protect 'Daeri' drivers from customer violence. Furthermore, it is also necessary to research policy to emplace a legal system that can protect 'Daeri' drivers.

  • This paper describes the design of model-based fault diagnosis software to apply to the propulsion system in tracked amphibious assault vehicle which consists of an engine, a transmission, a cooling system, and two waterjets. This software includes specific functions to detect the failures regarding sensor malfunctions, mechanical malfunctions, control errors, and communication errors. This software generates the proper malfunction codes which are classified as the warning and caution. In order to validate the fault diagnosis software, the manual and automatic test are performed using the test program with 32 test cases. Test results show that the designed fault diagnosis software is reliable and effective for applying to the propulsion system.
