  • The study intends to use interactive multimedia art performances for rehabilitation exercises for patients with early dementia. The interactive performance is completed by communication and participation of the performer on the stage and the dementia patient, who is the audience, and through this process, the dementia patient performs efficient rehabilitation exercises with interest and immersion. For the study, the characteristics of early dementia patients and effective exercise methods are examined, and a program map is constructed so that the patient's performance viewing leads to participation and leads to rehabilitation exercises. Movements and sounds generated by the audience's participation are converted into MIDI signals of Sound Level, Pitch, and Velocity to become a performance that controls music and video in real time. Through this, the patient will be immersed in the rehabilitation exercise with interest and will be able to have a sense of accomplishment as a participant in the performance. In addition, this study has the significance of expanding the area through various uses and applications of interactive multimedia art.

  • This study aimed to examine the effects of an art rehabilitation program developed based on the fine motor skills component of the Korean Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development(K-Bayley-III) on the fine motor development of children with developmental delays. Early intervention programs for children with developmental delays are crucial, as they can significantly enhance motor skills during formative stages. The study focused on a 36-month-old boy with delayed fine motor development, and the program was implemented twice a week for a total of 40 sessions. The program included the following areas: Eye Movement Control, Early Stage Hand Movements, Reaching in Space, Object Grasping and Manipulation, Bilateral Coordination, Pre-writing Skills and Pencil Grasp, Finger and Hand Movement Control, Tool Use and Motor Planning. Pre- and post-program assessments were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the program, and the changes in the child were qualitatively analyzed. The results confirmed that the child's scores in the fine motor domain improved and his hand and finger manipulation skills improved. This study suggests the use of an art rehabilitation program to promote fine motor development in children, and serves as a foundation for their further developmental progress.

The experimental group was subjected to group art therapy lasting 60 minutes once a week. Activity goals and contents were predetermined for each subject for each session, and a total of 10 sessions of the program was applied for 10 weeks. Self-esteem and parenting efficacy prior to and after the program of the subjects were measured by using corresponding self-esteem and parenting efficacy scales. Measurement data were analyzed by using the Mann-Whitney Test. Results : It was possible to observe that the self-esteem and parenting efficacy of the subjects in the experimental group to whom the art therapy program was applied underwent more significant changes in comparison to those of the control group (p<.01). • The purpose of this study was to provide basic information about the program space planning of skilled nursing facilities for the elderly in order to consider elderly health and diversity and to improve their rehabilitation ability. A mail survey was undertaken and 58 out of 78 facilities $(74.4\%)$ responded to the questionnaire. The answers of $56 (71.8\%)$ were used for analysis. The results of the study were as follows. Many programs, especially exercise, recreation, and facility events programs that require dynamic activity, were conducted in the lounge of the facilities because that area was wide with various equipments such as tables, sofas, and sound facilities, and did not require any huge movements of the elderly since it was very close to the elderly individual rooms. The art and human knowledge programs, managed with small groups, were peformed in separate program rooms or elderly individual room so that the elderly could pay attention to the programs. On the other hand, as for the design elements, the spaces for the art and human knowledge programs required good lightings and separate program rooms. The area of the spaces for the exercise, recreation and facility events programs was found to be the most problematic element, even though they were performed in the comparatively wide lounge. For future research, a field observation study is suggested to analyze the detail relations among the program spaces.
