For next-generation electronic applications, human-machine interface devices have recently been demonstrated such as the wearable computer as well as the electronic skin (e-skin). For integration of those systems, it is essential to develop many kinds of components including displays, energy generators and sensors. In particular, flexible sensing devices to detect some stimuli like strain, pressure, light, temperature, gase and humidity have been investigated for last few decades. Among many condidates, a pressure sensing device based on organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) is one of interesting structure in flexible touch displays, bio-monitoring and e-skin because of their flexibility. In this study, we have investigated a flexible e-skin based on highly sensitive, pressure-responsive OFETs using microstructured ferroelectric gate dielectrics, which simulates both rapidly adapting (RA) and slowly adatping (SA) mechanoreceptors in human skin. In SA-type static pressure, furthermore, we also demonstrate that the FET array can detect thermal stimuli for thermoreception through decoupling of the input signals from simultaneously applied pressure. The microstructured highly crystalline poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) possessing piezoelectric-pyroelectric properties in OFETs allowed monitoring RA- and SA-mode responses in dyanamic and static pressurizing conditions, which enables to apply the e-skin to bio-monitoring of human and robotics.
In this study, clinoptilolites were subjected to an array of experimental conditions, such as variations in heating temperature, reaction time, and molarity of acid and bass, and their responses measured. The activation levels were measured by adsorption indexes of toluene and ethyl alcohol and the X-ray spectra of clinoptilolites treated with acid and base. The effect of clinoptilolites on the menthol fuation was estimated by the amount of menthol produced after a given time of storage. The results were as follows: The optimum conditions for the clinoptilolites treatment were found to be IM HCI, IM NaOH, IMHCl-lM NaOH, and IM NaOH-lM HCl at $100^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours. 2. It was noted that clinoptilolites, untreated or treated with HCl, could not be used for the menthol fixation since the catalytic crating of menthol occurred with them. 3. The results from the residual menthol measurement in clinoptilolites after a specific period of storage showed that the best menthol fixation occurred in those treated with IM NaOH. 4. The menthol fuation by cigarettes with mentholated clinoptilolites was far better than that obtained by the use of mentholated tobacco column. 5. Most components in cigrettes smoke were generally reduced by the adsorption to clinoptilolites treated with IM NaOH.

This paper presents that the affecting factors to the solderability and initial reliability. It is the factor that the coefficient of thermal expansion between package and PCB(Printed Circuit Board), the quantity of solder paste and reflow condition, and Au thickness of the solder ball pad on polyimide tape. As the reflow soldering condition for 48 ${\mu}BGA$ is changed, it is estimated that the quantity of Au diffusion at eutectic Sn-Pb solder surface and initial bonding strength of eutectic Sn-Pb solder and lead free solder. It is the result that quantitative measurement of Au diffusion quantity is difficult, but the shear strength of eutectic Sn-Pb solder joint is 842 mN at first reflow and increases 879 mN at third reflow. The major failure mode in solder is judged solder fracture. So, Au diffusion quantity is more affected by reflow temperature than by the reflow times.

Pantograph design Process must be considered in terms of stability of aerodynamics and reduction of aeroacoustics. Furthermore pantograph needs to be insensible to severe circumstance condition like typhoon, tunnel, a change of season. In this paper, robust design of panhead sections is conducted based on the Taguchi's design of experiment method. In the aeroacoustic noise analysis, an acoustic analogy using the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings(FW-H) equation is used to calculate the flow induced sound pressure level in aeroacoustics. From the near-field CFD analysis data, the far-field noise is predicted at the positions of 25 m away from Pantograph. Based on aerodynamic(CFD) and aeroacoustic(FW-H) analysis data, the optimal sizing and Positioning of panhead elements are determined using robust design optimization method. Design parameters such as thickness, length and radius are controllable factors, while outdoor air temperature and atmospheric pressure are considered as uncontrollable factors in the context of Taguchi's approach. A number of CFD simulation and aeroacoustic analysis are performed based on orthogonal arrays. In this paper, two-step optimization method is used as a parameter design procedure. It is executed using signal to noise(S/N) ratio and analysis of means(ANOM) method. So Thus, an optimal level of design parameters Is extracted to minimize the disconnection ration between contact strips and catenary system, and reduce the far-field aeroacoustic noise.
Anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) membrane was made of aluminum sheet (99.6%, 0.2 mm thickness). The regular array of hexagonal nano pores or channels were prepared by two step anodization process. A detail description of the AAO fabrication is presented. After the 1st anodization in oxalic acid (0.3 M) at 45 V, The formed AAO was removed by etching in a solution of 6 wt% $H_3$$PO_4$+1.8 wt% $H_2$$CrO_4$. The regular arrangement of the pores was obtained by the 2nd anodization, which was carried out in the same condition as the 1st anodization. Subsequently, the alumina barrier layer at the bottom of the channel layer was removed in phosphoric acid (1M) after removing of aluminum. Pore diameter, density, and thickness could be controlled by the anodization process parameters such as applied voltage, anodizing time, pore widening time, etc. The pore diameter is proportional to the applied voltage and pore widening time. The pore density and thickness can be controlled by anodization temperature and voltage.
Due to the considerable development of the technology of second generation high-temperature superconductors and a significant improvement in their mechanical and transport properties in the last few years it is possible to use HTS tapes in the magnetic levitation systems. The advantages of tapes on a metal substrate as compared with bulk YBCO material primarily in the strength, and the possibility of optimizing the convenience of manufacturing elements of levitation systems. In the present report presents the results of the magnetic levitation force measurements between the stack of HTS tapes containing $n=2{\div}200$ of tapes $12mm{\times}12mm$ and NdFeB permanent magnet in the FC and ZFC regimes. It was found a non- linear dependence of the levitation force from the height of the array of stack in both modes: linear growth at small thickness gives way to flattening and constant at large number of tapes in the stack. Established that the levitation force of stacks comparable to that of bulk samples. The numerical calculations using finite element method showed that without the screening of the applied field the levitation force of the bulk superconductor and the layered superconductor stack with a critical current of tapes increased by the filling factor is exactly the same, and taking into account the screening force slightly different.
Breath analysis is rapidly evolving as a non-invasive disease recognition and diagnosis method. Metal oxide gas sensors are one of the most ideal platforms for realizing portable, hand-held breath analysis devices in the near future. This paper reviewed the recent developments in metal oxide gas sensors detecting exhaled biomarker gases such as nitric oxides, acetone, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and hydrocarbons. Emphasis was placed on strategies to tailor sensing materials/films capable of highly selective and sensitive detection of biomarker gases with negligible cross-response to ethanol, the major interfering breath gas. Specific examples were given to highlight the validity of the strategies, which include optimization of sensing temperature, doping additives, utilizing acid-base interaction, loading catalysts, and controlling gas reforming reaction. In addition, we briefly discussed the design and optimization method of gas sensor arrays for implementing the simultaneous assessment of multiple diseases. Breath analysis using high-performance metal oxide gas sensors/arrays will open new roads for point-of-care diagnosis of diseases such as asthma, diabetes, kidney dysfunction, halitosis, and lung cancer.

This paper proposes a readout integrated circuit (ROIC) for $32{\times}32$ infrared focal plane array (IRFPA) detector, which consist of reference resistor, detector resistor, reset switch, integrated capacitor and operational amplifier. Proposed ROIC is designed using $0.35{\;}{\mu}m$ 2P-4M (double poly four metal) n-well CMOS process parameters. Low noise folded cascode operational amplifier which is a key element in the ROIC showed 12.8 MHz unity-gain bandwidth and open-gain 89 dB, phase margin $67^{\circ}$, SNR 82 dB. From proposed circuit, we gained output voltage variation ${\Delta}17{\};mV/^{\circ}C$ when the detector resistor varied according to the temperature.
The increase in high speed, multi-function and high I/O pin semiconductor devices highly demands high pin count, very thin, and high density packages. BGA is one of the solutions, but the package has demerits in package reliability, surface mounting problems due to the PCB warpage and solder joint crack related with TCE mismatch between the materials. On this study to verify the thermal fatigue lifetime of the solder joint FEM and experiments were performed after surface mounting BGA with different solder composition and reliability conditions. FEM showed optimum composition of Ag3.2-Sn96.5 and under the composition minimum creep deformation of the solder joint was calculated, and the thermal fatigue lifetime was improved. In view of temperature cycle condition, the conditions of $-65^{\circ}C$to $150^{\circ}C$ showed minimum lifetime and t was 1/3 of $0^{\circ}C$ to $125^{\circ}C$ condition. Test board was prepared and solder joint crack was verified. Until 1000cycle on soder joint crack was observed.
The color stabilization of antimicrobial blends was studied by using poly(hexamethylene guanidine) phosphate (PHMG) as a highly efficient biocidal and nontoxic agent. The Taguchi method was used to determine the optimum conditions for the blending of PHMG in polypropylene (PP) matrix. To improve the yellowing phenomena, two kinds of stabilizer were used together: tetrakis[methylene(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyhydrocinnamate)](IN1010) from phenol and tris(2,4-di-t-butylphenylphosphite) (IF168) from phosphorus. According to blend composition and mixing condition, six factors were chosen, with five levels being set for each factor. The orthogonal array was selected as the most suitable for fabricating the experimental design, L25, with 6 columns and 25 variations. The-smaller-the-better was used as an optimization criterion. The optimum conditions for these parameters were 10 phr for PHMG, 2 phr for IN1010, 1 phr for IF168, 10 min for mixing time, $210^{\circ}C$ for mixing temperature, and 30 rpm for rotation speed. Under these conditions, the yellowness index of the blend was 1.52. The processibility of the blends was investigated by Advanced Rheometric Expansion System (ARES). The blend with 0.5 w% PHMG content, diluted with PP, exhibited an antimicrobial characteristic in the shake flask method.
