The purpose of this study is to study how F.L. Wright reflected the climatic properties and materials of the region into creative ways of designing his architecture. The research method examined the design methods and use of materials by Wright in existing research literature and compares the space plans of housing works in Arizona. The research results will be summarized as follows : 1) For two-story houses, pilotis was used to avoid the hot air and the walls on the ground floor were often planned as thick wall. 2) In the fifties, F.L. Wright's design method changed in a circle from the vertical and horizontal lines. 3) F.L.Wright's Architectural form concepts and design concepts were extracted from local symbolic forms and natural forms. 4) F.L.Wright avoided Arizona's direct light but Indirect sunlight enters into the interior space. 5)External space was expressed as a closed space, while internal space was expressed as an open space. It's like an organic space. 6) Most of the housing materials used are stone and cement from rough deserts, and wood with low heat conductivity and thick concrete blocks to prevent the sunlight from rising above.
This study is purposed to understand the usage of the color and the material pattern in detail and to apply for interior architecture. Many documents have prescribed the color and the pattern at random. While the usage of the color and the materials was ignored rather than architectural form, the importance of the color and the materials stands out in modern interior space. The villa, the weekend home of the Savoye family, was built between 1928 and 1931. Particularly, the villa Savoye was focused for this study. Le Corbusier viewed case pieces for storage and wall partition for division as architecture, and he units furniture and architecture by developing partition that could be painted either the wall color to become part of the wall or in contrasting colors to stand out as wall partition. He loved white and lie believed in using it for interiors, but noted that it should also be balanced with a wall related polychromy. Color became an integral part of white structure of the villa savoye that was raised on stilt with an exterior wall at the base painted green as a visual connection with the lawn. Color was used architecturally in the interior as well, with white walls interrupted by planes of pink, blue and red ocher and it gives the space an unexpected playfulness with tile color of the finishing materials. the various usage of the color and material patterns constitute an element of great architectural richness. They have a unique principle based on emotional order and make the man move to another space and experience the spacial connection.
The purpose of this study is to explore the revealing corporality in Mies' architecture. The character of such technical materials refuses or weakens the physical reality of the wall by the thoughts concerning the unlimited space or continuous space in Modern architecture. The wall or facade revealed visually is substituted to substance without materiality or just disappeared. This causes a problem of perception of architectural form itself in Modern architecture. Leonardo suggested that all kinds of human perception happens within the visibility and touchability. Likewise, the corporality as a visual reality can be perceived as an important and fundamental value, which can measure the real being. In this respect, This study reviews his architectural meaning by tracing the visual reality in his works. Namely, the emphasis of architectural elements through the relief effect, the expression of massiveness through the reflection of the glass wall and the emphasis of the color through the contrast are interpreted in the intention of Mies to emphasize the visual corporality of the building. This study is to reevaluate the meaning of Mies's architecture through understanding of his thought about the architectural corporality, which has been forgotten by the transparency concept of Modern architecture.

As concrete forms, panel forms made of plywood used to be widely used, but recently a system form made of aluminum has been broadly adopted because of the advantages it offers in terms of constructability and economy. However, an aluminum form reacts with concrete, which is alkali, and creates hydrogen gas. As a result, air pockets occur on the concrete's surface, and its finishability deteriorates. Therefore, this research analyzed the relationship between the distribution of voids and surface roughness and the damage degree and number of uses of the aluminum form. The analysis of the distribution of voids shows that the number of voids of 0.1~1 mm, which are considered to have occurred because of chemical reaction, was 200~500 on the coating plywood, but was 1 500~2 000 on the aluminum form after 3 uses, and impossible to count after a higher number of uses. Surface roughness was $1.7{\sim}3.2{\mu}m$ on the coating plywood form, but was about $2.6{\mu}m$ after the first use and about $6.8{\mu}m$ after 10 uses, a 2.6-fold increase. Distribution of voids did not show a particular tendency depending upon the degree of damage to the concrete form, but surface roughness showed an increasing tendency as the degree of damage grows. Therefore, when using aluminum forms, surface maintenance should be carried out completely, such as prevention of damages to the form surface coating materials and spreading of separating materials on forms.
If we consider the origins of new architectural language in Russian, as opposed to its social dimensions, then we are looking at quite another area of pre-Revolutionary activity: art. It was Tatlin's early ‘counter-reliefs’ which first explored the way new materials might generate new artistic form. The Basis of his art is collage and the reality of materials. In 1915, he exhibited the first of his ‘counter-reliefs’, casual montages of pieces of metal that invade the space around them, making the decomposition of the forms three-dimensional. What is not in doubt is the primacy of materials in Tatlin's art. He was a key figure in the transition from art towards design and ‘construction’, the last was accomplished with ‘real materials in real space.’After the October Revolution, one of the central myths of avant-garde was the realization of a total work of art. The progress has developed in the directions to an unprecedented creative realm, situated somewhere between painting and architecture in the post-revolutionary period. Paramount among such pioneer works was Tatlin's design for a monument to the Third International in 1919. Here In an artistic form, his investigation of ‘material, volume and construction’ was clearly embodied. In the comtemporary architecture, Tatlin's concept has been a great influence on the various tendencies of spatial expressions. For example, the architecture with concept of ex-formality has many varied aspects of space composition - dynamic forms with plasticity of concrete, ex-cubic composition with free walls, disposal composition by geometric collision and superimposition, and etc.

The construction of free-form structures with intricate curved exteriors necessitates the use of bespoke molds. To fulfill this requirement, a blend of Phase Change Material(PCM) and Ultra-High Performance Concrete(UHPC) is utilized. PCM endows the solution with recyclability, while UHPC facilitates the effortless execution of curvature in the mold fabrication process. However, it's worth mentioning that the melting point of PCM hovers around 58-64℃, and the heat emanating from UHPC's hydration process can potentially jeopardize the integrity of the PCM mold. Hence, experimental validation of the mold shape is a prerequisite. In the conducted experiment, UHPC was poured into two distinct mold types: one that incorporated a 3mm silicone sheet mounted on the fabricated PCM mold(Panel A), and the other devoid of the silicone sheet(Panel B). The experimental outcomes revealed that Panel A possessed a thickness of 3.793mm, while Panel B exhibited a thickness of 5.72mm. This suggests that the mold lacking the silicone sheet(Panel B) was more susceptible to the thermal effects of hydration. These investigations furnish invaluable fundamental data for the manufacturing of ultra-high strength irregular panels and PCM molds. They contribute substantially to the enrichment of comprehension and application of these materials within the realm of construction.

Traditionally, the material used for the form in reinforced concrete construction has been wood or steel. But recently, aluminum forms have been widely used in wall structures such as apartment buildings. Aluminum is light, easy to handle, and economically advantageous, but the hydrogen gas created due to its reaction with the alkali component in concrete gives rise to air pockets on the concrete's surface, and deteriorates the surface's finishability. In this research, to determine the influence of aluminum material on concrete, the cement paste W/C and its chemical reactivity in alkali and acid solution were analyzed. As a prevention plan, the influence of the number of applications of calcium hydroxide and various surface coating materials was analyzed. Through the analysis, it was found that the surface voids on the aluminum form are the result of the reaction of hydrogen gas with an alkali such as $Ca(OH)_2$. This can be prevented by the surface treatment of $Ca(OH)_2$, separating material and coating material. However, poor surface form and damages to the form are expected to cause quality degradation because of the aluminum-concrete interaction. Therefore, thorough surface treatment, rather than the type of separating material or coating material, is considered the most important target of management.

An experimental investigation was conducted to compare the shear strength of full-scale beams constructed with chemically-based, self-consolidating concrete (SCC) with conventional concrete (CC). This experimental program consisted of 16 rectangular beams (12 without shear reinforcing and 4 with shear reinforcing in the form of stirrups), 8 beams for each mix design. Additionally, three different longitudinal reinforcement ratios were evaluated within the test matrix. The beam specimens were tested under a simply supported four-point condition. The experimental shear strengths of the beams were compared with both the shear provisions of selected standards (U.S., Australia, Canada, Europe, and Japan) and a shear database of CC specimens. This comparison indicates that chemically-based SCC beams possess comparable shear strength as CC beams.

Wards are the biggest part in hospital buildings and the flow of medical personnels and materials is an important factor in the ward design. The evaluation method of the wards and is esscential for the optimum design considering function, environment, patient psychology, etc. This study attempts to classify ward pattern and analyse architectural characteristics, survey the wards in Korea. The purpose of this study is to get the design guideline of the wards To achieve this goal, ward type by using corridor form were introduced and then each type was systematically analyzed. A evaluation method are developed from studied factors and are applied to existing wards to check the reliability.
Rafter is a member for roof and plays a role in protecting shaft members under rafter such as pillar, beam and girder from natural environment and to fix by supporting finished materials of roof. It is common in the Korean architecture that rafter cross-section is paired with circular form and Buyeon cross-section is paired with the square shape. However, while there are not many, some architectures have rafter end header in the square shape. The aim of this study is to examine the square shape cases of rafter end header with special reference to stone structure. As a result, among stone structure related to Bangyeon, the majority case is seen at Palgakwondang type Seungtap. It was shown in the Seungtap of monk of Gusanseonmun school in the later Unified Silla to the early Goryeo period that succeeded Seodang Jijang.
