  • In this paper, a preconditioned mixed-type splitting iterative method for solving the linear systems Ax = b is presented, where A is a Z-matrix. Then we also obtain some results to show that the rate of convergence of our method is faster than that of the preconditioned AOR (PAOR) iterative method and preconditioned SOR (PSOR) iterative method. Finally, we give one numerical example to illustrate our results.

  • In this paper, we study the global stability and the existence of almost periodic solution of high-order Hopfield neural networks with distributed delays of neutral type. Some sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence, uniqueness and global exponential stability of almost periodic solution by employing fixed point theorem and differential inequality techniques. An example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed method and results.

  • In this paper a methodology is developed to solve a nonlinear fractional programming problem, whose objective function and constraints are interval valued functions. Interval valued convex fractional programming problem is studied. This model is transformed to a general convex programming problem and relation between the original problem and the transformed problem is established. These theoretical developments are illustrated through a numerical example.

  • In this article we study two Multiplicative (generalized)- derivations ${\mathcal{G}}$ and ${\mathcal{H}}$ that satisfying certain conditions in semiprime rings and tried to find out some information about the associated maps. Moreover, an example is given to demonstrate that the semiprimeness imposed on the hypothesis of the various results is essential.

  • According to fractional calculus theory and Banach's fixed point theorem, we establish the sufficient conditions for the controllability of impulsive fractional evolution integrodifferential equations in Banach spaces. An example is provided to illustrate the theory.

  • Some rank tests for comparing r treatments against ordered alternatives are proposed when some of data are randomly cemsored, which are the weighted logrank tests based on pairwise-ranking scheme. The covariances of the proposed test statistics are explicitly obtained from the results of the counting process theory and the test procedures are illustrated by a numerical example. Simulation studies are also performed for comparing with the other well-known tests.

  • In this work we investigate the finite element preconditioning method for the $C^1$-cubic spline collocation discretizations for an elliptic operator A defined by $Au := -{\Delta}u + a_1u_x+a_2u_y+a_0u$ in the unit square with some boundary conditions. We compute the condition number and the numerical solution of the preconditioning system for the several example problems. Finally, we compare the this preconditioning system with the another preconditioning system.

  • This is a survey article on finite element a posteriori error estimates with an emphasize on gradient recovery type error estimators. As an example, the error estimator based on the ZZ patch recovery technique will be discussed in some detail.

  • When X and Y have independent gamma distributions, we consider the testing problem for two gamma means. We propose a solution based on a Bayesian model selection procedure to this problem in which no subjective input is considered. The reference prior is derived. Using the derived reference prior, we compute the fractional Bayes factor and the intrinsic Bayes factors. The posterior probability of each model is used as a model selection tool. Simulation study and a real data example are provided.

  • An order-level inventory model for a perishable product with a time-dependent demand is developed for a fixed planning pe-riod allowing backlogging in all cycles within the said period. The market demand is assumed to decrease exponentially as time elapses. The average system cost is derived and its optimization procedure is illustrated with a numerical example. Sensitivity of the optimal so-lution to changes in the values of different parameters of the system is also analysed.
