  • In this paper, sufficient conditions for the controllability of stochastic integrodifferential systems in Banach spaces are established. The results are obtained by using a fixed point theorem. An example is provided to illustrate the theory.

  • In this paper, we consider of a convexifiable programming problem with bounds on variables. We obtain Mond-Weir type duality theorems for the convexifiable programming problems. Moreover, we give a numerical example to illustrate our duality.

  • Artinian O-sequences of codimension 3 and type 3 with length 7 are classified as level or non-level. Some cases are proved to be non-level among the 334 cases which have been suspected to be level.

  • We knew attractive qualities of a rotation number for an analytic diffeomorphism, for example, Arnold tongues and staircase. Numerical computer simulation let us know easily that the pattern of rotation number of a non analytic homeomorphism is similar to its of an analytic homeomorphism for some cases. Also we define new rotation function and investigate it's properties.

  • The derivative influence measure is adapted to the Cholesky decomposition of a covariance matrix. Formulas for the derivative influence of observations on the Cholesky root and the inverse Cholesky root of a sample covariance matrix are derived. It is easy to implement this influence diagnostic method for practical use. A numerical example is given for illustration.

  • As a typical example of the screening for a microbial biocatalyst from nature, isolation of nitrilesynthesizing microorganisms, characterization of a new enzyme aldoxime dehydratase, and its function in the aldoxime-nitrile pathway are introduced. Catalytic properties of some of our enzymes were improved through a direct evolutionary approach.

  • Ford and Fulkerson have shown that a stationary maximal dynamic flow can be obtained by solving a transhipment problem associated with the static network and thereby finding the maximal temporally repeated dynamic flow. This flow is known to be an optical dynamic flow. This paper presents an algorithm for second best temporal1y repeated flows. A numerical example is presented.

BOUNDARY CONTROLLABILITY OF SEMILINEAR SYSTEMS IN BANACH SPACES

  • Sufficient conditions for boundary controllability of semilinear systems in Banach spaces are established. The results are obtained by using the analytic semigroup theory and the Banach contraction principle. An example is provided to illustrate the theory.
