Interference can seriously degrade the performance of GPS receiver because GPS signal has extremely low power at earth surface. This paper presents a Narrowband Interference Excision Filter (NIEF) in frequency domain that removes narrowband interferences with small signal loss. A NIEF transforms the received GPS signals with interferences into the frequency domain with FFT and then compute statistics such as mean and standard deviation to determine an excision threshold. All spectrums exceeding the threshold are removed and the remaining spectrums are restored by IFFT. A NIEF effectively can remove various and strong interferences with a simple structure. However, the signal power loss is unavoidable during FFT and IFFT. Besides the hamming window and overlap technique, a threshold-whitening technique and an adaptive detection threshold are adopted to effectively reduce the signal power loss. The performance of implemented NIEF is evaluated using real signals obtained by 12 bit GPS signal acquisition board. The output of NIEF is fed into the Software Defined Receiver to evaluate the acquisition and tracking performance. Experimental results shows that many types of interference such as single-tone CWI, AM, FM, swept CWI and multi-tones CWI are effectively mitigated with small signal power loss.

To efficiently manage forest resources, it is essential to deploy multiple unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with various sensors simultaneously. Consequently, the ground control station antenna should not only maintain continuous tracking of the target station but also minimize the impact of radio interference on other unmanned aerial vehicle stations. In this paper, we presented beam forming techniques based on the VPR algorithm within a ground control station constructed using a phased array antenna system. Through simulation experiments in diverse unmanned aerial vehicle operating environments, it was demonstrated that the presented method enables not only the continuous tracking of operational unmanned aerial vehicles but also the suppression of radio interference by establishing a continuous pattern null for multiple operational radio interference sources.

This paper aims to build up a RFID-automated cargo movement system in an air-cargo warehouse. In our research, we do the spectrum measurements compliant with the RFID frequency bands to observe the interferences from legacy systems in the air-cargo warehouse. To overcome the dense-reader mode (DRM) problem, we apply three novel approaches, which are the periodic transmit of a reader, the Visible RFID reader & tag, and the sensor-based RFID system. Moreover, for the tag collision issue, we implement the Adaptive Adjustable Framed Q(AAFQ) algorithm, and the demonstration on RFID tag anti-collision algorithms show that the AAFQ algorithm has highly desirable tag anti-collision performance compared to any other commercially available solutions.

A composite guidance scheme is proposed for air-to-ground anti-tank missiles launched from an airborne platform. Long-range anti-tank missiles usually use a fiber optic line (FOL) for the datalink between an operator and the missile to obtain real-time target information and to command the missile. Also, impact angle control is used to maximize the warhead effectiveness, but it should be carefully implemented due to interference between the launch platform and the FOL. Thus, the proposed guidance scheme takes into account both impact angle and FOL constraints. Under system lag and acceleration limits, a selection method of guidance gains and calculation logic of the maximum achievable impact angle are proposed for a guideline of practical implementation. The performance of the proposed guidance scheme is investigated by nonlinear simulations with various engagement conditions.

In this paper, we propose a design of GPS anti-jamming system and its operational method, which can effectively suppress interference and jamming signals induced in GPS receiver. The 7-array antenna used in the proposed system is composed of conventional 6 equi-spaced circular elements with one element on the center of antenna and can be efficiently operated under power-constrained conditions. Futhermore, in this paper, we analyze the structure and complexity of STAP and SFAP which are well known techniques in adaptive array antenna signal processing, and we compare the BER performances between STAP and SFAP in various jamming environment based on the same complexity.

GPS spoofing is an intentional interference which uses the mimic GPS signals to fake the receivers. The generic GPS receiver is hard to recognize the spoofing signal because the spoofer generates the fake signals as close as possible to the GPS signal. So the spoofer can do critical damage to public operations. This paper introduces a basic concept of spoofing and analyzes the effect of the spoofing signal to the GPS receiver. Also for stand-alone GPS receivers, two anti-spoofing methods are implemented : RAIM based method and the SQM based method. To evaluate the performance of anti-spoofing method, the software based spoofing signal generator and GPS signal generator are implemented. The performance of the anti-spoofing methods obtained using the output of the software based GPS receiver shows that SQM based method is more effective when multiple spoofing signals exist.

Islanding is the electrical phenomenon in a part of a power network disconnected from the utility, where the loads are entirely supplied by PV systems, and where the voltage and frequency are maintained around nominal values. But islanding may result in power-quality issues, interference to grid-protection devices, equipment damage, and even personnel safety hazards[4]. Therefore, islanding must be detected and stopped. The existing anti-islanding methods have NDZ(None-detection Zone) or power quality degradation. But PV-AF power generation system has the function of not only shunt active filter but also anti-islanding method without NDZ. In this paper, It is proved that PV-AF system has originally the function of anti-islanding without not only NDZ and but current distortion

Digital communication technology have been focused on the higher data efficiency and the effective coding of information. Also, it is very important to improve security and minimize the interference of the external sources, Chaos communications system is studied to improve security and minimize the interference by effective encoding of information in the nonlinear systems such as DCSK(Differential Chaos Shift Keying) and CDSK(Correlation Delay Shift Keying). In this paper, we evaluate anti-jamming performance of chaos communications system using the DCSK and CDSK system. The simulation results show that the Gauss iterated map has better BER performance than the other maps(tent map, logistic map, Henon map). Also, DCSK and CDSK system can get the better anti-jamming performance by applying different chaotic maps.
Fisetin is an effective compound extracted from lacquer which has been used in the treatment of various diseases. Preliminary data indicate that it also exerts specific anti-cancer effects. However, the manner in which fisetin regulates cancer growth remains unknown. In this study, we elucidated interference of fisetin with targets of the nuclear factor ${\kappa}B$ signal transduction pathway activated by Epstein-Barr virus encoding latent membrane protein 1 (LMP1)in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) cells, Results showed that fisetin inhibited the survival rate of CNE-LMP1 cells and NF-${\kappa}B$ activation caused by LMP1. Fisetin also suppressed nuclear translocation of NF-${\kappa}B$ (p65) and $I{\kappa}B{\alpha}$ phosphorylation, while inhibiting CyclinD1, all key targets of the NF-${\kappa}B$ signal transduction pathway. It was suggested that interference effects of fisetin with signal transduction activated by LMP1 encoded by the Epstein-Barr virus may play an important role in its anticancer potential.
In this paper, an efficient scheme of the adaptive notch filter is presented for rejecting the narrow bandwidth interferences(NBI) in GPS receiver. Designed is the lattice IIR double notch filter for more efficient suppression of the NBI with less computational complexity. The algorithm is of recursive prediction error form and uses a special constrained model of IIR with a minimal number of parameters. This paper chooses seven different jamming scenarios including one without jamming for evaluating the proposed filter algorithm. The simulation results to the jamming scenarios show that the proposed algorithm adjusts the double notch filter effectively for the given JSR, and provides better SNR than the conventional algorithms. Finally, it is shown that the advantages of the proposed filter algorithm can range as high as JSR 79dB in time domain processing. Also, the ADNF(adaptive double notch filter) guarantees that more than SNR 10dB of GPS receiver can be always maintained. In conclusion, there is enough evidence to believe that the proposed algorithm will perform quite well for removing interference signals.
