This paper deals with anodic oxidation behavior of AZ31 Mg alloy in aqueous solutions containing various NaF concentrations from 0.01 M to 1 M. Three different voltage-time curves and anodic oxide formation behaviors appeared with concentration of NaF in deionized water. When NaF concentration is lower than 0.02 M, the voltage of AZ31 Mg alloy increased linearly and then reached a steady-state value more than 200 V, and large size pits and thin oxide layer were formed. When NaF concentration is between 0.05 M and 0.1 M, the voltage of AZ31 Mg alloy showed large periodic fluctuations of about 30 ~ 50 V around more than 200 V and large number of small particles were observed. If NaF concentration is higher than 0.2 M, PEO films can be formed without visible arcs under solution pH 6.5 ~ 7.5 by F- ions without help of OH- ions.

To know the growth behavior of Conductive polyaniline file, the anodic oxidation of anilien on a platiunm in aqueous sulfuric acid solution has been studied. Cyclic votammetry and currenttime transisents method used to investigate the anodic oxidation of aniline to polyaniline films on a platinum. The oxidation of aniline is shown to occur in several steps dependent on the potential. it the phase growth resembles the deposition of a metal film.
In order to study for corrosion behavior of reinforcing steel with oxidation layer. Experiments were done with various NaCl concentrations and with immersion time in simulated concrete pore solution(SPS) the characteristics of corrosion behavior were measured by polarization resistance method and cyclic potentiodynamic method. reinforcements were coated by epoxy except corrosion without oxidation layer and it also showed two anodic-nose. by the result of potention dynamic test the potential curve shift to low with time and anodic-nose was appeared with 3% NaCl solution after 15 days. By result of cyclic Potentiodynamic test the type of corrosion was different accoding to concentration.

In this work, anodic oxidation behavior of AZ31 Mg alloy was studied as a function of $Na_2CO_3$ concentration in electrolyte by voltage-time curves and observation of surface appearances and morphologies after the anodic treatments, using optical microscopy and confocal scanning laser microscopy (CSLM). The voltage-time curves of AZ31 Mg alloy surface and surface appearances after the anodic treatments showed three different regions with $Na_2CO_3$ concentration : region I, below 0.2 M $Na_2CO_3$ where shiny surface with a number of small size pits; region II, between 0.4 M and 0.6 M $Na_2CO_3$ where dark surface with relatively low number of large size burned or dark spots; region III, more than 0.8 M $Na_2CO_3$ where bright surface with or without large size dark spots were obtained. The anodically treated AZ31 Mg alloy surface became significantly brightened with increasing $Na_2CO_3$ concentration from 0.5 M to 0.8 M which was attribute to the formation of denser and smoother surface films. Pits and porous protruding reaction products were found at relatively large size and small size spots, respectively, on the AZ31 Mg alloy surface in low concentration of $Na_2CO_3$ less than 0.2 M. The formation of pits is attributed to the result of repetition of the formation and detachment of porous anodic reaction products. Based on the experimental results obtained in this work, it is concluded that more uniform, denser and smoother surface of AZ31 Mg alloy could be obtained at more than 0.8 M $Na_2CO_3$ concentration if there is no other oxide forming agent.

Recently, $TiO_2$ nanotubes have considerably researched because of their novel application about photocatalysis, dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), lithium ion battery, etc. In this work, self-standing $TiO_2$ nanotube arrays were fabricated by anodic oxidation method using pure Ti foil as a working electrode in ethylene glycole with 0.3M $NH_4F$ + $2%H_2O$. Growth behavior of $TiO_2$ nanotube arrays was compared according to temperature, voltage and time. The morphology, structure and crystalline of anodized $TiO_2$ nanotube arrays were observed by FE-SEM (field emission scanning electron microscope) and XRD (X-ray diffraction).

In this work, The electrochemical behavior of CF/Al composite was investigated at constant current densities in aqueous solutions. The surface and cross section of PEO-treated CF/Al were observed using SEM, EDS and OM. The CF/Al composite contains carbon fibers of about 40 Vol.% with 5~7 um diameter and 100~150 um length. The carbon fibers appeared to b removed by anodic oxidation in sulfuric acid solution, leaving a carbon-fiber free zone in the surface region. Anodic oxide films were formed in the carbon-free region by plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO) method in alkaline solutions.
The parts of equipment for semiconductor are protected by anodic aluminum oxide film to prevent corrosion. This study investigated contamination particle and cracking behavior of anodic oxidation in sulfuric acid containing cerium salt. The insulating properties of the sample were evaluated by measuring the breakdown voltage. It was confirmed that the breakdown voltage was about 50% higher when the cerium salt was added, and that the breakdown voltage after the heat treatment was 55% and 35% higher at $300^{\circ}C$ and $400^{\circ}C$, respectively. After heating at $300^{\circ}C$ and $400^{\circ}C$, cracks were observed in non cerium and cerium 3mM, and more cracks occur at $400^{\circ}C$ than at $30^{\circ}C$. The amount of contamination particles generated in the plasma is about 45% less than that of non-cerium specimens.

This work demonstrates arc generation and anodic film formation behaviors on Al1050 alloy during PEO (plasma electrolytic oxidation) treatment under a constant direct current in an alkaline electrolyte containing silicate, carbonate and borate ions. Only one big arc more than 2 mm diameter was generated first at the edges and it was moving on the fresh surface or staying occasionally at the edges, resulting in the local burning due to generation of an extremely big orange colored arc at the edges. Central region of the flat surface was not fully covered with PEO films even after sufficiently long treatment time because of the local burning problem. The anodic oxides formed on the flat surface by arcing once were found to consist of a number of small oxide nodules with spherical shape of $3{\sim}6{\mu}m$ size and irregular shapes of about $5{\sim}10{\mu}m$ width and $10{\sim}20{\mu}m$ length. The anodic oxide nodules showed uniform thickness of about $3{\mu}m$ and rounded edges. These experimental results suggest that one big arc observed on the specimen surface under the application of a constant direct current is composed of a number of small micro-arcs less than $20{\mu}m$ size.
The electrooxidation of 8-(3-acetylimino-6-methyl 2,4-dioxopyran)-1-aminonaphthaline (AMDAN) in aqueous and non aqueous media led to the formation of polymeric films, poly (AMDAN). The monomer, undergo anodic oxidation through the formation of a monocation radical irrespective of the nature of the medium. In aqueous medium, the monocation radical undergoes, through its resonance structures, dimerisation involving tail-to-tail, head-to-tail and even head-to-head coupling. The products formed, being more easily oxidisable than the parent substance, undergo further oxidation at the same potential so that the overall oxidation involves a one-step (i.e., a single wave), two-electron process. In non-aqueous medium, the monocation radical does not undergo dimerisation through coupling reactions. Retaining its identity, monomer oxidise in two steps involving one electron in each step. The fact that the cathodic peaks corresponding to these anodic peaks are rarely observed indicates fast consumption of the electrogenerated monocation radicals and dications by follow-up chemical reactions to produce polymeric products (poly AMDAN). The electrochemical behavior of the formed polymer films was investigated in both non aqueous and aqueous media. The films prepared in non aqueous medium were found to be more electroactive than that the films prepared in aqueous medium. This is confirmed with the results in litreature which illustrate that the film prepared in aqueous solution hold water in its structure via hydrogen bonding, which causes decomposition reactions.
Gallium is an important element in the production of a variety of compound semiconductors for optoelectronic devices. Gallium has a low melting point and is easily oxidized to give oxides of different compositions that depend on the conditions of solutions containing Ga. Gallium electrode reaction is highly irreversible in acidic media at the dropping mercury electrode. The passive film on a gallium surface is formed during anodic oxidation of gallium metal in alkaline media. Besides, some results in published reports have not been consistent and reproducible. An increase in the demand of intermetallic compounds and semiconductors containing gallium gives rise to studies on electrosynthesis of them and an increase of gallium concentration in the environment with various application of gallium causes the development of electroanalysis tools of Ga. It is required to understand the electrochemistry of Ga and to predict the electrochemical behavior of Ga to meet these needs. Any review papers related to the electrochemistry of gallium have not been published since 1978, when the review on the subject was published by Popova et al. In this study, the redox behavior, anodic oxidation, and electrodeposition of gallium, and trace determination of gallium by stripping voltammetries will be reviewed.
