리니어모터를 이용한 초정밀 유정압안내면 개발 (Development of a Hydrostatic Guideway Driven by the Linear Motor)

  • In order to discuss the availability of the hydrostatic guideway driven by the coreless linear motor to ultra precision machine tools, a prototype of guideway is designed and tested in this research. A coreless linear DC motor with the continuous force of 156 N and a laser scale with the resulution of 10 nm are used as the feeding system. The experiments are performed on the static stiffness. motion accuracy, positioning accuracy. microstep response and variation of velocity. The guideway has the infinite axial stiffness within 50 N of applied load, and has 0.08 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of linear motion error and 0.1 arcsec of angular motion error. It also has 0.21 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of positioning error and 0.09 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ of repeatability, and it shows the stable response against the 10 nm resolution step command. The velocity variation of feeding system is less than 5%. From these results, it is confirmed that the hydrostatic guideway driven by the coreless linear motor is very useful for the ultra precision machine tools.

  • Transmission error (TE) is defined as "the angular difference between the ideal output shaft position and actual position". As TE is one of the major source of the noise and vibration of gears, it is originally studied with relation of the noise and vibration of the gears. However, recently, with the relation of mesh stiffness, TE has been studied for fault detection of spur gear sets. This paper presents a physics-based theory on fault diagnostics of a planetary gear using transmission error. After constructing the lumped parameter model using DAFUL, multi-body dynamics software, we developed a methodology to diagnose the faults of the planetary gear including phase calculation, signal processing. Using developed methodology, we could conclude that TE could be a good signal for fault diagnostics of a planetary gear.

Spatial Compounding of Ultrasonic Diagnostic Images for Rotating Linear Probe with Geometric Parameter Error Compensation

  • In ultrasonic medical imaging, spatial compounding of images is a technique where ultrasonic beam is steered to examine patient tissues in multiple angles. In the conventional ultrasonic diagnostic imaging, the steering of the ultrasonic beam is achieved electronically using the phased array transducer elements. In this paper, a spatial compounding approach is presented where the ultrasonic probe element is rotated mechanically and the beam steering is achieved mechanically. In the spatial compounding, target position is computed using the value of the rotation axis and the transducer array angular position. However, in the process of the rotation mechanism construction and the control system there arises the inevitable uncertainties in these values. These geometric parameter errors result in the target position error, and the consequence is a blurry compounded image. In order to reduce these target position errors, we present a spatial compounding scheme where error correcting transformation matrices are computed and applied to the raw images before spatial compounding to reduce the blurriness in the compounded image. The proposed scheme is illustrated using phantom and live scan images of human knee, and it is shown that the blurriness is effectively reduced.

  • 관성항법장치는 내장된 관성센서만을 이용하여 외부의 도움 없이 항체의 가속도 및 각속도를 이용하여 항법 정보를 계산한다. 하지만, 장시간 운용 시 관성항법장치는 시간이 지남에 따라 오차가 누적되어 항법 성능이 저하된다. 이러한 관성항법장치의 누적 오차를 줄이기 위하여 관성센서조립체를 일정한 절차로 회전시켜 관성센서 오차가 회전을 통해 상쇄되도록 항법 성능을 개선 시키는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 2축 회전형 관성항법장치의 성능에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 오차 요소를 식별하고 각 오차가 항법 성능에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 오차 분석 수행 후 시뮬레이션을 통해 관성항법장치의 항법 성능분석 결과를 제시하였다.

Dating the Stars in the Calendrical Method Shoushili of the Yuan Dynasty

  • Shoushili was the official calendrical method promulgated in 1280 CE by the Yuan dynasty. It contains a list of the angular spans in right ascensions for the 28 lunar lodges. They are known to have been measured by Guo Shoujing with his advanced instruments with an unprecedented precision or reading error of 5'. Such precise data are useful to determine their observational epoch with an error range which is narrow enough to pinpoint on which historical occasion they were observed. Using the precise SIMBAD data based on eDR3 of GAIA and carefully identified determinative stars and considering the precession of equinoxes and proper motions, we apply linear regression methods to those data and obtain the observational epoch of 1271 ± 16 CE and the measurement error of 4.1'. We also have polar distances corresponding to declinations written in another manuscript of the Ming dynasty. Since the two data sets have similar significant digits, they were suggested to have the same origin. However, we obtain their observational epoch of 1364±5 CE and the measurement error of 5.7'. They must have been measured with different instruments and on a different occasion from the observations related to Shoushili. We review the history of the calendrical reform during the 13th century in the Yuan dynasty. We conclude that the observational epoch obtained from lodge spans in Shoushili agrees with the period of observations led by Guo Shoujing or 1276-1279 CE, which is also supported by the fact that the ecliptic lodge span values listed in Shoushili were calculated from the equatorial lodge spans.

  • This paper suggests Kalman filter formulation using by precision GINS output angle for SDINS initial transfer alignment of missile. The Kalman filter model was derived from quaternion parameters and the transfer alignment system by angle matching method satisfies azimuth observability in horizontal angular motion. The estimated error of SDINS attitude settles to less 3mrad(1.sigma.) in 200 seconds at proper sea state.

  • The performance of a strapdown attitude reference system(SDARS) under dynamic environments was analyzed by means of computer simulation. The study is aimed toward the performance evaluation in the presence of translational or angular vibration during 20 sec of flight time. The simulation was based on the error model of rate gyro, and Euler angle algorithm was employed to compute the attitude.

  • A close examination of the step calibrations for STS-2 seismometers installed by KMA has been done to deduce the response parameters of those instrument including angular corner frequency, damping factor and coil constant factor. A non-linear least square inversion method has been apple iud to estimate these parameters. The estimated parameters coincide with the manufactory specification with less than 1% error. This method will be extended near- future to deduce the response parameters for SS-1 short period seismometer.
