중층트롤 어구의 그물저항과 전개판 간격 (Fluid Drag of a Trawl Net and Otter Board Spread in a Midwater Trawl)

  • 중층트롤 어구의 유체저항을 구하거나 전개판의 간격을 구하는 것은 어구설계나 어로작업에 유용하다. 본 논문에서는 끌줄에 관해 신장을 포함하여 간이해석적 (semi-analytic)으로 푼 3차원해석을 이용하여 중층트롤 어구의 끌줄에 적용시키고, 줄의 형상에 대해 기존의 직선이라는 가정은 실제로 이루는 곡선과는 차이가 있기에, 여기서는 줄의 형상을 곡선 형태로 도입하였는데, 날개그물 끝에서 후릿줄, 뜸$\cdot$발줄 및 (자루그물의) 힘줄에 미치는 세 힘의 합력을 역학적으로 고려하여 어구의 유체저항을 구한 방법을 나타낸 것으로서. 이때 전개판 (OB) 뒤쪽의 후릿줄 (hand rope), bridle 및 뜸 (발)줄의 형상을 곡선인 $y_{r}=Ax_{r}^{B}$의 형태 (B=2이면 포물선 (parabola)임)로 가정하였다. 기존의 중층트롤의 실험자료에서 끌줄의 길이가 100m인 경우에 예망속도의 변화에 따른 여러가지 측정값을 이용하여 트롤어구의 유체저항을 구하는 새로운 방법을 제시하였는데, 10매로 구성된 망지의 유체저항 ($R_{n}(kg)$)과 유속 (V)과의 관계는$1.34 범위에서 $R_{n}=1204.6\;V_{(m/s)}^{1.99}$ 관계가 있었다. 여기에서 제안한 방법을 이용하면 트롤어구의 그물만의 유체저항을 직접적으로 구할 수 있다.

  • The purpose of this study is to prepare a high-strength Fiberglass Reinforced Metal (FRM). Aluminum covering over carbon fibers (CF) was made to increase their wettability to molten aluminum. A cylindrical sputtering apparatus was used for the covering. One tow of carbon fibers was placed along the central axis of the cylindrical target. Aluminum was uniformly coated around the carbon fiber tow. But in case of CF without sizing treatment, aluminum spread into the inside of the tow. Preforms of carbon fiber/aluminum composite were made by impregnating carbon fiber with molten aluminum. Contact angle of molten aluminum to the aluminum-coated carbon fiber was about $30^{\circ}$. The fractured section of preform was observed by SEM, which showed that molten aluminum wetted the outer part of the tow well but had not penetrated into the center, and that adhesion between CF and aluminum matrix was in good condition.

오프라인 프로그래밍에서 스카라 로봇의 보정 (SCARA robot calibration on off-line programming)

  • Off-line programming systems are widely spread in assembly lines of minute electronic products to huge offshore structures. Any OLP system has to be calibrated before the on-line robot tasks are performed because there are inherent differences between the CAD model on OLP and the real robot workspace. This paper uses simple geometric expressions to propose a calibration method applicable to an OLP for SCARA robots. A positioning task on the two-dimensional horizontal surface was used in the error analysis of a SCARA robot and the anaysis shows that the inaccuracy results from the two error sources non-zero offset angles of two rotational joints at the zero return and differences in link lengths. Pen marks on a sheet of plotting paper are used to determine the accurate data on the joint centers and link dimensions. The calculated offset angles and link lengths are fed back to the OLP for the calibration of the CAD model of the robot and task environments.

環狀旋回噴流의 燃燒特性에 관한 硏究 (A Study on the Combustion Characteristics of Annular Swirl Jet)

  • This study presents the combustion characteristics and flame structure of annular swirling flow when there were changes the equivalence ratio and swirl number of swirling jet of fuelair mixture. The conclusions of this study are as follows; During the investigations in which the change of equivalence ratio and swirl number were studied, three basic shapes of flame were observed in this study. Visible flame lengths of swirling jet results in the decrease with increasing of swirl number and air-fuel ratio of mixture. Radial distribution of flame temperature with strong swirl is higher than that of weak swirl at the same equivalence ratio of mixture. The angle of spread of the annular jet increases with the increase of swirl number. When the swirl intensity is increased in a jet, the decay of concentration of carbon dioxide is decreased with the distance from nozzle exit of burner.

최적 FIB렌즈구조 설계를 위한 Simulator 개발 (Development of Simulator for the Design of Optimal FIB Lens Structure)

  • 경계 요소법을 이용하여 Finely-focused ion beam 시스템을 위한 전계형 시뮬레 이터를 개발하였다. 경계 요소법을 시뮬레이터에 적용함으로써 기존의 유한 요소법, 차분근 사법에서는 피할 수 없었던 내부격자망 구성이 불필요하게 됨에 따라 계산속도를 현저히 줄 일 뿐만 아니라 불규칙 경계에 대한 요소분할이 가능하게 되어 최적렌즈구조 설계의 새로운 요소인 전극구조의 모양을 자유롭게 시뮬레이션 할 수 있게 되었다. 또한 개발된 시뮬레이 터를 이용하여 최적조건을 만족하는 구조를 제안한다. 이때 렌즈설계조건은 beam half-angle 3.0 mrad, working distance 50mm, 빔에너지 퍼짐 (beam energy spread) 10eV, 가속에너지 35keV이다.

P.I.D.형 바동조타장치에 대한 약간의 고찰 (Some Considerations on the P.I.D. type Autopilot)

  • The purpsoe of automatic steering system is to keep the ship's course stable with the minimum course error and rudder angle, and there have been a number of studies as to the optimal design and adjustment of the autopilot. Recently, modern control theories are being used widely in analyzing and designing the system. When a ship is at sea, autopilot installed on the ship plays an important role, particularly in the respect of economic aspects, that is, when the design and the adjustment of adjustable parameters are not conducted perfectly, the amount of loss in energy and the extension of sailing distance become large. Therefore the optimal design and adjustment of a autopilot are very important. Though P.I.D type autopilots are widely spread and generally used in modern ships, the suitability and the adjusting method are not clarified. In this paper the authors considered the stabilaity and the economical efficiency of the P.I.D. type autopilot and investigated various facts which should be considered at the time of designing and using the P.I.D. type autopilot through the digital computer simulation.

디젤기관의 완전연소용 무화기의 개발 (A study on the development of atomizer of the complete combustion for diesel engines)

  • This is an experimental study to investigate the characteristics of Diesel spray and Diesel engine performance using ultrasonic injection nozzle (A, B type) and conventional commercial injection nozzle (C type). The results are obtained as follows: 1. SMD and range of size distribution of Diesel spray using the ultrasonic nozzle are smaller than those using the conventional injection nozzle, and spray angle is spread. 2. Because of the difference of the ultrasonic vibration energy transfer in the same condition, the effects of A-type ultrasonic vibration are larger than those of B-type ultrasonic vibration. 3. Attaching the ultrasonic vibrator to the conventional injection nozzle of the Diesel engine, engine performances i.e. BMEP, BSFC, and cylinder peak pressure are improved.

인코히어런트 삼각 홀로그래피에서 위상오차가 횡축방향의 해상도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of Phase Error on the Lateral Resolution of Reconstruction Image in Incoherent Triangular Holography)

  • It is introduced the phase error sources of a incoherent hologram in incoherent triangular holography and derived the reconstruction image of point-source including the phase error in the lateral direction. From the reconstruction image of point-source, we analyzed the effect of phase error on the lateral resolution. When the phase retardation errors and azimuth angle error of a wave plate and a polarizer range from 0 to $2{\pi}/15$, the normalized intensities of reconstructed images are down by about 0.1% and 2.3%, respectively.

  • Adaptive array antenas have emerged as a useful technique to enhance the cell capacity of mobile communications. In this research, to analyze the noncoherent CDMA systems employing adaptive array antennas, we modeled the transmitting signal of CDMA systems using M-ary orthogonal modulation. And we induced the conditional probability density function about the decision variable, the output of 2D-RAKE receiver and mean symbol error prabability through statistical analysis about MAI(Multiple Access Interference), SI(Self Interference) and Noise. Also, we analyzed the charateristics of adaptive array antenna for noncoherent CDMA systems using M-ary orthogonal modulation according to the distance between the array elements, doppler frequency and AOS(Angle of Spread).

단이 진 경사벽면에 부착되는 2차원 제트유동에 관한 연구 (An investigation on flow characteristics of two dimensional inclined wall attaching offset jet)

  • An experimental study on the flow characteristics was performed for a two-dimensional turbulent wall attaching offset jet at different oblique angles to a surface. The flow characteristics were investigated by using a split film probe with the modified Stock's calibration method. The jet mean velocity, turbulent intensity, wall static pressure coefficient profiles, and time-averaged reattachment point were measured at the Reynolds number Re (based on the nozzle width, D) ranging from 17700 to 53200, the offset ratio H/D from 2.5 to 10, and the inclined angle .alpha. from 0.deg. C to 40.deg. C. The Correlations between the maximum pressure position, minimum pressure position, and reattachment point and offset ratios, and inclined angles are presented.
