An Analytical Framework for a Technological Innovation System: the Case of a Nuclear Power System

  • The aim of paper is to develop an alternative framework for the study of technological innovation systems. In contrast with conventional literature, this analytical framework is designed for entrepreneurs, i.e. actors, at the micro level rather than policy-makers at the meso or macro level. Herein, the entrepreneurial innovation system is conceptually refined by synthesizing knowledge regarding technological innovation and innovation systems. Drawing upon the intrinsic technological identity essential for innovation, the entrepreneurial innovation system is shown to involve three core changes in terms of technology, organization and market, and their couplings within its internal boundary over time. This analytical framework also takes into account the fact that the innovation system is influenced by and copes with the external environment during its evolution. Moreover, the framework of the entrepreneurial innovation system considers the recent trend of sustainable development. The technical and socio-economic characteristics of a nuclear powersystem are studied empirically to articulate an analytical framework that should be very useful for technological innovation in other energy systems by reflecting their unique features.

지역사회 기반 초등학생용 기후변화교육 프로그램 분석틀 개발 (Development of an Analysis Framework for Climate Change Education Programs for Elementary School Students Based on Communities)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 지역사회의 시민 강사 등이 지역사회 문제에 기반한 초등학생용 기후변화교육 프로그램을 개발할 때 반드시 포함해야 할 내용을 분석틀로 제안하는 것으로, 이 분석틀의 개발을 위해 현장 및 기후환경교육 전문가 24명에게 총 7번의 자문을 받았다. 최종 분석틀은 문항별 내용타당도는 I-CVI와 S-CVI 계수로, 전문가 패널 간 신뢰도는 Fleiss' Kappa 계수를 통계적으로 검증하였다. 최종 분석틀은 3개의 분석 영역(프로그램 목적 - 프로그램 내용 - 프로그램 평가)과 7개의 분석 항목, 7개의 분석 지표와 세부 설명으로 구분하여 개발했다. 특히 분석 지표에 대한 세부 설명란을 추가하여 내용타당도와 신뢰도를 높임으로써 객관적인 분석틀로서의 성격을 확고히 했다. 이 연구에서 제안한 지역사회 기반 초등학생용 기후변화교육 프로그램 분석틀이 체계적인 프로그램 개발에 도움이 되길 기대한다.

  • This letter presents an analytical framework for a performance analysis of the imperfect direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) closed-loop power control (CLPC) loop with loop delay, channel estimation error, and power control command bit error as the parameters under a Rayleigh flat fading environment. The proposed model is verified through a comparison between analytical results and simulation ones.

Analytical Framework for Promoting Customer Participation in Benefit Delay Type Services

  • Purpose - Benefit delay type services have a characteristic of benefit delay that does not immediately appear at the time of delivery of service. Due to a characteristic of benefit delay, the customer's participation in the service delivery system is hindered, and the quality of service declines. As a result, customer satisfaction would be reduced. The purpose of this study is to construct an analytical framework to analyze a mechanism that promotes customer participation in benefit delay type services. Research design, data, and Methodology - Existing research has considered only the performance of service companies to enhance the quality of service and customer satisfaction. This study focused on customer participation as a factor affecting the quality of service and customer satisfaction and attempted to construct an analytical framework based on a theoretical perspective of motivational research. Results - By adopting the motivation theory, this research derived three concepts, the possibility of gaining benefits, the emotional experience, and the desire of benefit. And motivation is created when the three factors interact with each other. Conclusions - This paper has constructed an analytical framework for analyzing factors that promote customer participation in the benefit delay service and finally has proposed case study for further research.

A framework for distributed analytical and hybrid simulations

  • A framework for multi-platform analytical and multi-component hybrid (testing-analysis) simulations is described in this paper and illustrated with several application examples. The framework allows the integration of various analytical platforms and geographically distributed experimental facilities into a comprehensive pseudo-dynamic hybrid simulation. The object-oriented architecture of the framework enables easy inclusion of new analysis platforms or experimental models, and the addition of a multitude of auxiliary components, such as data acquisition and camera control. Four application examples are given, namely; (i) multi-platform analysis of a bridge with soil and structural models, (ii) multiplatform, multi-resolution analysis of a high-rise building, (iii) three-site small scale frame hybrid simulation, and (iv) three-site large scale bridge hybrid simulation. These simulations serve as illustrative examples of collaborative research among geographically distributed researchers employing different analysis platforms and testing equipment. The versatility of the framework, ease of including additional modules and the wide application potential demonstrated in the paper provide a rich research environment for structural and geotechnical engineering.

중등교사 임용시험 수학교과교육학 기출 문항 분석 (An Analysis of the Discipline of Mathematics Education in Secondary School Mathematics Teacher Certificate Examination)

  • This study aims at what is required knowledge and ability to pre-service math teachers in teacher certificate examination. First, the items are analyzed and among questions of discipline of mathematics education in the last five years are analyzed and classified. Second, an analytical framework suitable for item analysis is examined and the items are analysed by the analytical framework. Finally, helpful implications for discipline of mathematics education assessment can be drawn from this study. It is found that the discipline of mathematics education assessment has the following characteristics: 1) It assesses specific content of the assessment component; 2) It assesses a teacher's theoretical knowledge, practical knowledge and creative knowledge in terms of teaching ability; 3) There are six cognitive assessments; 4) There is an item for difficulty adjustment.

  • This paper presents a framework for analytical seismic vulnerability assessment of substandard reinforced concrete (RC) structures in developing countries. Amodified capacity-demand diagram method is used to predict the response of RC structures with degrading behaviour. A damage index based on period change is used to quantify the evolution of damage. To demonstrate the framework, a class of substandard RC buildings is examined. Abrupt accumulation of damage is observed due to the brittle failure modes and this is reflected in the developed vulnerability curves, which differ substantially from the curves of ductile structures.

Capacity Analysis of Centralized Cognitive Radio Networks for Best-effort Traffics

  • A centralized cognitive radio (CR) network is proposed and its system capacity is studied. The CR network is designed with power control and multi-user scheduling schemes to support best-effort traffics under peak interference power constraints. We provide an analytical framework to quantify its system capacity, taking into account various key factors such as interference constraints, density of primary users, cell radius, the number of CR users, and propagations effects. Furthermore, closed-form formulas are derived for its capacities when only path loss is considered in the channel model. Semi-analytical expressions for the capacities are also given when more realistic channel models that include path loss, shadowing, and small-scale fading are used. The accuracy of the proposed analytical framework is validated by Monte Carlo simulations. Illustrated with a practical example, the provided analytical framework is shown to be useful for the strategic planning of centralized CR networks.

사회 속 과학 쟁점에 대한 소집단 논변 상호작용 분석을 위한 방법론 고찰 (Theoretical Considerations on Analytical Framework Design for the Interactions between Participants in Group Argumentation on Socio-Scientific Issues)

  • 본 연구는 한 학기 동안 비과학 전공 대학생들의 사회 속 과학 쟁점에 대한 일련의 소집단 논변을 참여자 상호작용을 중심으로 설명하는 분석틀 마련을 위한 연구이다. 분석틀 마련을 위하여 소집단 논변이 진행되는 상황의 특성 및 논변과 사회적 상호작용 분석을 위한 방법들을 고찰하였다. 연구 상황과 관련하여 논변의 제재가 사회 속 과학 쟁점이며, 참여자들의 논변 경험이 제한되었음을 고려하였다. 따라서 소집단 논변을 통해 관련된 다양한 입장과 견해를 고려했는지, 그리고 참여자의 상호작용 역할 및 일련의 논변을 통한 변화와 발달을 제시할 수 있는 분석틀을 고안하고자 하였다. 기존 분석 방법들 중 과학교육에서 논변의 분석에 가장 빈번히 사용된 Toulmin이 제시한 논변의 구조를 고찰하고, 어떻게 변형되어 다른 연구에 이용되었는지 살펴보았다. 또한 상호작용의 기능과 전략을 설명한 연구들을 토대로 하여 각 발화의 기능을 구분하였다. 이러한 문헌 연구를 바탕으로 분석틀을 마련하였는데, 상호작용 역할과 절 내에서의 기능, 논변 수준에 기여하는 발화를 나타내는 것으로 각 발화를 15개 종류로 구분하여 제시하였다. 도입에 해당하는'시작', '사담', 응답에 해당하는 '단정지음', '응답', '반복', '약간부연', '다른면', '종합', '정교화', '반박정교화', 그리고 반응에 해당하는 '단순응대', '핀잔', '확인', '회의', '설명요청'으로 구분하고, 이전의 발화에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 분석하고 종합한 '향상발화'와 그렇지 않은 '단순발화'로 수준을 구분하였다. 고안한 분석틀로 '에이즈 치료약 개발비와 약소국의 특허권 불인정 주장' 쟁점에 대한 소집단 논변분석 사례를 제시하였다. 분석 결과 고안한 분석틀은 소집단 논변 동안 참여자들이 다양한 견해를 인식하고 관련 과학 지식을 고려했는지를 드러내는데 적절하였다. 또한 소집단 논변 동안 각 참여자의 역할 및 참여자들의 상호작용과 논변의 수준을 관련지어 나타낼 수 있었다. 고안한 분석틀은 정성적인 분석뿐만 아니라 정량적인 분석을 가능하게 함으로서 소집단 구성원들의 상호작용 양상 및 두 소집단의 논변 양상에 대한 비교를 가능하게 하였다.
