Nanocomposites based on $SnO_2-Mn$ were synthesized by the reaction of tin (II) chloride dihydrate and manganese (II) chloride tetrahydrate at a molar ratio of 10:1 in the presence of ammonium hydroxide at $80^{\circ}C$. The $SnO_2-Mn$ nanocomposites were stirred with fullerene [$C_{60}$] in a mass ratio of 2:1 in tetrahydrofuran to prepare $SnO_2-Mn-C_{60}$ nanocomposites; these nanocomposites were obtained upon heating the mixture of $SnO_2-Mn$ nanocomposites and fullerene [$C_{60}$] in an electric furnace at $700^{\circ}C$ for 2 h. The synthesized $SnO_2-Mn-C_{60}$ nanocomposites were confirmed through various characterization methods such as X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The photocatalytic activities of the $SnO_2-Mn-C_{60}$ nanocomposites were demonstrated by the degradation of the organic dyes BG, MB, MO, and RhB under 254 nm irradiation and evaluated using UV-Vis spectrophotometry.

Recently, the control of size, morphology and dimensionality in inorganic materials has been rapidly developed into a promising field in materials chemistry. 3D nanostructured flower-like ZnO architecture with different size and shapes have been simply synthesized via a hydrothermal process, using zinc acetate and ammonium hydroxide as reactants.[1] In this study, the Zno thin-films were deposited by RF magnetron sputtering in other to get high adhesion and uniformity of 3D nanostructured flower-like ZnO architecture on a $SiO_2$ substrate. The XRD patterns identified that the obtained the nanocrystallized ZnO architecture exhibited a wurtzite structure. SEM images illustrated that the flower-like ZnO bundles consisted of flower-like or chestnut bur, which were characterized by polycrystalline and [0001] preferential orientation.
Nickel powders were prepared under solvothermal condition by precipitation from metal nitrates with aqueous ammonium hydroxide. The powders were obtained at in a temperature range of $190-250^{\circ}C$ for 6h. The morphology and size of nickel powders were studied as a function of reaction temperature. The synthesis of nickel crystalline particles is possible under a solvothermal conditions in ethylene glycol solution. Characterization of the synthesized nickel powders were studied by XRD, SEM(FE-SEM) and TG/DSC. X-ray diffraction analysis of the synthesized powders indicated the formation of nickel structure after reaction. The average crystalline sizes of the synthesized nickel powders were in the range of 200-1000 nm; and the distribution of the powders was broad. The shape of the synthesized nickel particles was almost spherical. The morphology of synthesized nickel powders changed with reaction condition. It was possible to synthesize nickel powders directly in ethylene glycol without reducing agent.
Commonly, the flocculant is dissolved in process or recycle water in industrial plant which has many ionic materials. Therefore, the polymer degradation in aqueous solution by chemical, mechanical or bacteriological may occur, sometimes rapidly. Even if the same flocculant is dissolved, the flocculation characteristics and the properties of dissolving polymer varied with the kind of dissolving water. In this study, we try to estimate the interaction between flocculants and ionic materials in dissolving water using self inversing emulsion polymer; polyacrylamide-co-trimethyl ammonium ethyl acrylate chloride flocculants which have varying molecular weights and structures at a several conditions. The polymeric flocculant is dissolved in artificial dissolving water with Potassium Chloride (PC), Calcium Chloride anhydrous (CC), Potassium Hydroxide (PH), Sodium Chloride (SC), Sodium Bromate (SB) and Iron (II) Sulfate Heptahydrate (IS) as ionic sources. Experimental results indicate that the cationic and anionic ions in dissolving water induce the hydrolysis, degradation of cationic functional group and uncoiling of polymeric flocculants, therefore, the flocculation efficiency decreased by undesired polymer. According that result, it is important to estimate not only its structures and physical properties but also the qualities of dissolving water to optimize the efficiency.

Alkaline solutions such as $NH_4$OH, choline and TMAH (($CH_3$)$_4$NOH) have been introduced in semiconductor wet processing of silicon wafers to control ionic and particulate impurities following etching in acidic solutions. These chemicals usually mixed with hydrogen peroxide and/or surfactants to control the etch rate of silicon. The highest etch rate was observed in $NH_4$OH solutions at a pH in alkaline solutions. It indicates that the etch rate depends on the content of $OH^{-}$ as well as cations of alkaline solutions. STM/AFM techniques were used to characterize the effect of alkaline solutions on silicon surface roughness. In SC1 (mixture of $NH_4$OH : $H_2$$O_2$ : $H_2$O) solutions, the reduction of the ammonium hydroxide proportion from 1 to 0.1 decreased the surface roughness ($R_{rms}$) from 6.4 to $0.8\AA$. The addition of $H_2$$O_2$ and surfactants to choline and TMAH reduced the values of $R_{p-v}$ and $R_{rms}$ significantly. $H_2$$_O2$ and surfactants added in alkaline solutions passivate bare silicon surfaces by the oxidation and adsorption, respectively. The passivation of surfaces in alkaline solutions resulted in lower etch rate of silicon thereby provided smoother surfaces.s.ces.s.
This study was performed to develop the modified FGD(Flue Gas Desulfurization) process which can eliminate the possibility of generating secondary pollutants. Limestone was regenerated by adding ammonium hydroxide and carbon dioxide, and reusing it as a absorbent in FGD gypsum Process. A series of the new or modified FGD process which include desulfurization and regeneration limestone from CaSO$_3$. 1/2H20 and CaSO4 . 2H2O, were carried out under various experimental conditions. The results showed that the optimum injection ratio for regeneration of limestone was 0.3 ml/min of CO2 flow rate, 2 ml of NH4OH per 0.01 M of regent grade CaSO4 . 2H20O and the optimum regeneration temperature was 50. The increaser was the number of times of limestone regeneration, the faster was the breakthrough point of desulfurization at the desulfurination process which the regenerated limestone was used. Then the efficiency of desulrurization was decreased. This study can be confirmed the possibility for reuse of regenerated limestone due to the similarity of desulfurization characteries both reagent grade calcium carbonate and regenerated calcium carbonate. Finally, it appeared that the new technology using regenerated 1imestone can be applied to the FGD process.
In this paper, Si anisotropic etching characteristics of tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH)/ ammonium persulfate (AP) solutions were investigated to realize the optimum structure of a diaphragm for the piezoresistive pressure sensor application. Due to its low toxicity and its high compatibility with the CMOS processing, TMAH was used as Si anisotropic etchants. The variations of Si etch rate on the etching temperature, TMAH concentration, and etching time were obtained. With increasing the etching temperature and decreasing TMAH concentrations, the Si etch rate is increased while a significant non-uniformity exists on the etched surface because of formation of hillocks on the <100> surface. With the addition of AP to TMAH solution, the Si etch rate is increased and an improvement in flatness on the etching front is observed. The Si etch rate is also maximized with increasing the number of addition of AP to TMAH solution per one hour. The Si square diaphragms of 20${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ thickness and 100~400${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ one-side length were fabricated successfully by applying optimum Si etching conditions of TMAH/AP solutions.
Magnetite nanoparticles were synthesized by adding excess ammonium hydroxide to a solution of iron (II) and (III) chlorides. The surfactants of oleic acid and Span 80 were applied in sequence to the magnetic particles as a combined stabilizer, and poly-${\alpha}$-olefin (PAO) 30 or 60 was used as the liquid base with a low or high viscosity, respectively. The ferrofluids were prepared with the concentrations of 200, 300, 400, and 500 mg/mL, and characterized by density, dispersion, magnetization, and viscosity. The density of the fluids increased proportionally to the concentration from 0.98 to 1.27 g/mL and 1.01 to 1.30 g/mL with PAO 30 base and PAO 60 base, and the dispersion stability was 77-95 and 81-74% for the PAO-30 and PAO-60-based fluids, respectively. The observed saturation magnetization values of the PAO-30 and PAO-60-based ferrofluids were 16 to 42 mT and 17 to 41 mT with the concentration increase in the range 200-500 mg/mL, respectively, depending upon the content of magnetic particles in the fluid. The viscosity variation of the PAO-30 and PAO-60-based ferrofluids in the temperature range $20-80^{\circ}C$ was the least with the concentrations of 400 and 300 mg/mL, respectively.
In this experiment, blends of ethylene vinyl acetate rubber (EVM) with a vinyl acetate (VA) content greater than 40 wt% and ethylene propylene rubber (EPM) were prepared by mechanical mixing; a number of parameters of the blends, including oil resistance, morphological and dynamic mechanical properties and flame retardancy, were subsequently measured. In the $100^{\circ}C$ oil resistance test, both the ammonium polyphosphate/dipentaerythritol/expandable graphite (APP/DPER/EG) and aluminum hydroxide (ATH) flame retardant systems showed an increase in volume change with increasing EPM content. For the ATH system, the dispersion shape was coarse and aggregation was observed. The results of a dynamic mechanical test showed slightly higher E' and E'' for the APP/DPER/EG flame retardant system when compared to the single ATH system. For both the APP/DPER/EG and ATH systems, the limited oxygen index (LOI) tests performed at increasing content of EPM showed a LOI value higher than 30, indicating excellent flame resistance.

In this paper, the authors present the fabrication of high-yield Si thin-membranes by electrochemical etch-stop in tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide (TMAH): isopropyl alcohol (IPA):pyrazine solutions. The current-voltage (I-V) characteristics of n- and p-type Si in TMAH:IPA;pyrazine solutions were analysed, repsectively. Open circuit potential (OCP)and passivation potential (PP) of n- and p-type Si, respectively, were obtained and applied potential was selected between n- and p-type Si PPs. The electrochemical etch-stop method was applied to the fabrication of 801 micro-membranes with 20.0 $\mu\textrm{m}$ thickness on a 5" Si wafer. The average thickness of fabricated 801 micro-membranes on one wafer 20.03$\mu\textrm{m}$ and the standard deviation was ${\pm}$0.26$\mu\textrm{m}$. The Si surface of the etch-stopped micro-membranes was extremely flat with no noticeable taper or nonuniformity. The results indicate that use of the electrochemical etch-stop method for the etching of Si in TMAH:IPA;pyrazine solutions provides a powerful and versatile alternative process for fabricating high-yield Si micro-membranes.
