연안정치망 주요대상어종의 청각역치와 유집방음에 대한 행동반응(II) -방어(Seriola quinqueradiata)의 임계비 (The auditory thresholds and fish behaviors to the underwater sounds for luring of target secies at the set-net in the coast of Cheju(II) -Critical ratios of the yellow tail(Seriola quinqueradiata)-)

  • This paper is second part on the auditory thresholds and fish behaviors to the underwater sounds for luring of target species at the set-net in the coast of Cheju. In order to obtain the critical ratio of yellow tails(Seriola quinqueradiata) and the emission level of underwater sound for luring of them, we make experiments to measure the auditory threshold of them using conditioning with electric shock. In state that the white noise with 10dB higher sound pressure level than ambient noise is emitted, the auditory thresholds of yellow tails are measured with 100~116.5dB and they are higher than those in state of no emission of white noise by the masking effects of it. Although sound pressure level of background noise go down, the auditory thresholds go up with frequency above than 300Hz.The critical ratio of yellow-tails in frequency of 80Hz, 100Hz, 200Hz, 500Hz, 800Hz are 46dB, 40dB, 50dB, 52dB, 60dB, 70dB respectively. The sound pressure level of which the signal sound is recognized by yellow tails under the ambient noise is above 100dB and the critical ratio of them is above 40dB.

The impact of outdoor environment on residential noise level satisfaction: GIS-based Analysis

  • Urban residents in crowded complexes are making increasing civil complaints about noise and demanding pleasant and comfortable residential environments. Because noise is one of the most important factors related to urban residents' dissatisfaction with their living environments, the present study investigates the direct and indirect effects of noise-related outdoor environmental factors on residential level satisfaction, using noise level data from 29 noise-measuring stations in Seoul. From 62 multi-family apartment complexes near these stations, the authors collected GIS-based environmental attribute data, as well as survey data including the residents' personal characteristics and indicators designed to measure latent psychological characteristics: noise sensitivity and residential noise level satisfaction. This study then utilized structural equation models to analyze the direct variables influencing the latent variables of noise sensitivity and residential noise level satisfaction, as well as the complex relationships among all variables. The result showed that residents who are exposed to less noise, possibly due to living in apartments facing relatively quiet roads, protected by soundproof walls, or surrounded by densely planted trees, tend to be less noise sensitive, which makes them more satisfied with the ambient noise level. Therefore, critical outdoor environmental variables can be used to reduce noise sensitivity and improve residential noise level satisfaction.

  • KMA established short period seismometer, accelerometer, and ocean bottom seismometer network to build the detail earthquake monitoring system and Tsunami monitoring system. KMA also replaced borehole seismometer and wave height meter monitoring system. The purposes of this study are to record the ambient seismic noise levels of short period seismometer and accelerometer installed in 2006 and 2007, and compare their characteristics to present the standard of site selection criteria.

선박진동소음이 해중환경소음에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of the Vessel Vibration Noise to the Underwater Ambient Noise)

  • 1984, 85, 87년에 걸쳐 7~8월에 부산402호(380GT, 850PS)를 이용하여 한국동해안 주요항구 입구와 외해에서 해중소음과 선박기관소음의 해중음압 분포와 그 음의 스펙트럼 특성을 해황별로 환경소음과 선박기관진동소음으로서 비교.검토한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 풍속 0~2m/sec일 때 깊이 5m층에서의 환경소음의 음압준위는 부산 동항에서는 108dB, 부산 남항에서는 106dB, 구룡포항에서는 101dB로서 항내에 소음원이 많을 때는 높고, 그렇지 않을 때는 낮았다. 한반도와 울릉도 중간의 외해에서는 다같이 100dB로서 항구 부근보다 낮았다. 또 외해에 있어서 깊이에 따른 음압의 분포는 깊이 20m, 70m 층에서는 5m층에서 보다 1~2dB 낮고, 100m층 이하에서는 100dB로 거의 일정했다. 2. 풍속 10~15m/sec일 때, 외해에서의 환경소음의 음압준위는 5m층에서 108dB이고 그 후 점차 낮아져 70m 층에서 100dB이며, 그 이하에서는 100dB로 모두 같았다. 선박기관진동소음의 음압준위는 깊이 5, 50, 100, 150, 200m층에서 각각 146, 125, 112, 110, 104dB로서 깊어짐에 따라 점차 낮아졌다. 3. 풍속 10~15m/sec일 때 외해의 깊이 5m층에서 10Hz, 100Hz, 1KHz, 10KHz의 주파수대에 있어서의 스펙트럼 레벨은 해중소음이 각각 86, 75, 61, 32dB, 선박진동소음이 각각 105, 95, 86, 55dB로서 후자가 전자보다 20dB 정도 높았다. 200m층에 있어서는 전자가 80, 68, 47, 26dB, 후자가 82, 70, 59, 31dB로서 후자가 전자보다 4dB 정도 높았다.

황해 연안에서 관측된 딱총새우 음의 특성 (Characteristics of Snapping Shrimp Sound Observed in the Korean Coast of the Yellow Sea)

  • 2001년 5월에 황해 연안의 수심 약 20 m의 해역에서 10시부터 13시까지 3시간 동안 수중소음을 관측하였다. 측정기간 내내 생물음으로 추정되는 강한 수중음이 지속적으로 관찰되었다. $1{\sim}20kHz$의 주파수 대역에서 측정된 수중음의 레벨은 수중 배경소음 레벨과 비교하여 매우 높게 측정 되었다. 이러한 수중음은 연안 수중소음 레벨에 지속적으로 영향을 줄 수 있으므로 수중음의 발생 원인을 규명하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 기존에 발표된 논문들을 근거로 하여 수중음의 가장 유력한 음원으로 해저바닥에 서식하는 딱총새우의 음을 제시하였으며, 동일해역에서 채집한 살아있는 딱총새우로부터 방출되는 음향신호를 실험실에서 측정함으로서 이 수중음이 딱총새우에 의하여 발생된 것임을 재확인할 수 있었다.

  • Ship radiated noise is an infortant parameter which dtermines Anti Submarine Warfare(ASW) countermeansure or passive Sonar detection and classification performance. Its measurement should be performed under controlled ocean acoustic environment. In data reduction of the measured data from hydrophone array, theeffect fo ambient noise, surface reflection and bottom reflection etc. should be compensated to obtain the source level of the ship radiated noise. This study describes the measurement hydrophone array design criteria based on the analysis of transimission anomaly due to the surface reflection.

소형어선의 기관의 수중소음 스펙트럼 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Spectrum Analysis of the Underwater Noise by Engine Generating in Small Fishing Boat)

  • Most of the underwater noise emitted by small fishing boat are owing to vibration of main engine and generator etc.. This paper describe on the spectrum analysis of underwater noise by engine generating in small fishing boat in order to build up comfortable environment for fisheries man and to reduce ambient noise. The obtained results are summerized as follows:1. When the underwater noise of 10ton class fishing boat measure and the frequency spectrum in varied revolution of engine 750, 900, 1000rpm analyze, the frequency pattern is similar to each other, the faster revolution of engine increase, the higher frequency spectrum level becomes. 2. In comparison of spectrum level of underwater noise between 10ton class and 14ton class fishing boat, the former level is higher than the latter. 3. Frequency spectrum pattern of two 14ton class fishing boat is similar to each other but spectrum level is a little difference, it is suggested to different by fitting condition of engine.

섬진강 하구에서의 수중 환경 소음 (Ambient Underwater Noise in the Somjin Estuary)

  • This paper describes that air noise and underwater noise in the Somjin Estuary are measured and analysed to get the basic data to find out the influence of environment on the underwater. The results obtained are summerized as follows: 1. The spectrum level of air noise in the Somjin Estuary increases until 500Hz, and decreases a little over 2KHz. 2. The spectrum level of underwater noise in the Somjin Estuary increases from 50 Hz to 1 KHz, but it decreases over 1 KHz as the depth is deeper. 3. When the influence of other factors is scarce but the influence of flowing speed is significant, the noise level seems to be higher at speedy layer than at slower layer. 4. The underwater sound level seems to be wider at speedy layer than at slower layer.

  • It is very difficult to reduce ambient noise level in the downtown. The best method is to improve the sound amenity of the districts, considering concept of soundscape. This study aims to survey the effect of introducing sound and masking to reduce the background noise level. We carried out the evaluating test for 18 introducing sounds varied S/N ratio(-5, 0, +5) in the city riverside. In these test, subjects evaluated the sound environment with five bipolar adjective scales. It was evaluated that introducing sounds improved the sound environment, and that S/N +5 dB was very appropriate to mask the background noise. But the hearing level was suggested to be S/N 0 dB or less.

수직선배열을 이용한 저소음 함정음향 측정 및 분석기법 (A Measurement and Analysis of Low Level Radiated-Noise Using Vertical Line Array)

  • Underwater acoustic noise measurement is an essential element for vulnerability assessment of modern naval platforms. But during the last few decades environmental conditions have drastically changed due to the gradually increasing sea ambient noise level and decreasing submarine radiated noise level. A real-time underwater acoustic measurement system with vertical line array is designed for the quiet submarine radiated noise assessment in challenging environment. This system has a constant directivity index in measurement frequency range and accurate tracking capability for the transmission loss compensation and navigation aids inside the submarine. This system has been validated at sea and used several times for the submarine noise measurement.
