Filter effect를 이용(利用)한 Chest Radiography (A Study on Filter Effect on Improvement of Chest Radiography)

  • In the present study, we determined reduction value of radiation on chest film by film method and made a reduction curves. The reduction radio in exposure to radiation was induced by comparative investigation of characteristic curves and reduction one. Basing on these result, we could reduce a radiation dose on body surface in 50% at the time of chest radiography, if 17.8mm aluminium or 0.87mm copper filter were used in addition to conventional filter at 140KV tube voltage. The present study further revealed that the additional use of the aluminium or copper filter at the time of high voltage radiography in chest facilitates to identify an image of some pathologic focus overlapping wist clavicle and ribs.

  • This study is on the application the image processing algorithm for inspection of the aluminium mill strip surface defect. The image of surface defect data was obtained using the CCD camera with the digital signal board. The edge was found from the difference of pixel intensity between the normal image and defect image. Two step were taken to find the edge in the image processing algorithm. First, noise was removed by using the median filter in the image. Second, the edge was sharpened in detail by using the sharpening convolution filter in the image. Canny algorithm was used to defect the exact edge. The defect section was separated from the original image is to find the coordination point p1 and p2 which include the defect image

  • As the reutilizing method of exhausted screen, authors used it as a filter and compared with the aluminium filtration. The results are as followed; 1. One sheet of gadolinium front screen has the same radiation absorption as $2.8{\sim}3.3\;mm$ Al equivalent and regular tungsten screen $2.3{\sim}2.7mm$ Al. 2. HVL after Gd-screen filtration was less than the values after aluminium and tungsten-screen filtration. And, image definition with Gd-screen filtration was better than other two cases. Ana surface dose to produce a same film density was more than other two cases. It will be very useful to apply, Gd-screen filter in clinics as it has no deficiency of image quality.

The corrosion of aluminium alloy and release of intermetallic particles in nuclear reactor emergency core coolant: Implications for clogging of sump strainers

  • Clogging of sump strainers that filter the recirculation water in containment after a loss-of-coolant accident (LOCA) seriously impedes the continued cooling of nuclear reactor cores. In experiments examining the corrosion of aluminium alloy 6061, a common material in containment equipment, in borated solutions simulating the water chemistry of sump water after a LOCA, we found that Fe-bearing intermetallic particles, which were initially buried in the Al matrix, were progressively exposed as corrosion continued. Their cathodic nature $vis-{\grave{a}}-vis$ the Al matrix provoked continuous trenching around them until they were finally released into the test solution. Such particles released from Al alloy components in a reactor containment after a LOCA will be transported to the sump entrance with the recirculation flow and trapped by the debris bed that typically forms on the strainer surface, potentially aggravating strainer clogging. These Fe-bearing intermetallic particles, many of which had a rod or thin strip-like geometry, were identified to be mainly the cubic phase ${\alpha}_c-Al(Fe,Mn)Si$ with an average size of about $2.15{\mu}m$; 11.5 g of particles with a volume of about $3.2cm^3$ would be released with the dissolution of every 1 kg 6061 aluminium alloy.

에너지 스펙트럼과 화질평가를 통한 복합부가여과에서 알루미늄 여과판의 효율성 분석 (Analysis of Effectiveness of Spectrum of Energy and Image Quality Evaluation by Aluminium Filter in the added Compound Filtration)

  • 본 연구는 복합부가여과에서 특성방사선을 제거하기 위해 사용되는, 알루미늄 여과판의 효율성을 분석하고자 구리 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 mm에 알루미늄 1 mm 사용 전, 후 에너지 스펙트럼 분석과 화질평가를 실시하였다. GATE를 이용하여 에너지 스펙트럼을 측정하고, 에너지별로 구분하여 평가 하였다. 화질평가는 PSNR, MAE, MSE, CNR, SNR 정성적 평가로는 국가암검진 흉부 평가표의 해상, 대조도 평가 7문항을 이용하였다. 에너지별 스펙트럼의 광자의 질 분석에서 저에너지 영역을 제외하고, 모든 영역 알루미늄 미사용 시 우수하였다. PSNR MAE, MSE, CNR, SNR, 정성적 평가는 알루미늄 미사용 시 같거나 우수했다. PSNR은 30 dB이상으로 모두 의미 있는 수치였고, 정성적 평가에서 T-test 검정은 p>0.05였다. 알루미늄 여과판은 에너지 스펙트럼 분석과 화질 평가에서 사용 전, 후 큰 효과가 없으므로, 디지털 방사선 장비의 보상능력 이용하면 알루미늄 여과판 사용 시 보다 선량 관리가 효과적이라 사료된다.

복합부가여과에서 알루미늄 여과판 사용 시 양자검출효율과 화질평가를 통한 효율성 분석 (A Analysis of Effectiveness of Aluminium Filter in the added Compound Filtration by Detective Quantum Efficiency and Image Quality Evaluation)

  • 본 연구는 복합부가여과에서 높은 원자번호 물질에서 발생된 특성방사선을 제거하기 위해 사용되는 알루미늄 여과판의 효율성을 분석하고자 양자검출효율, 화질평가를 실시하였다. 구리 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 mm 에 알루미늄 1mm 사용 전, 후를 평가하였다. IEC 규정에 의해 선질, 양자검출효율을 실험하고 화질평가는 PSNR, MAE, MSE, CNR, SNR 정성적 평가로는 국가암검진 흉부 평가표의 해상, 대조도 평가 7문항을 이용하였다. MTF 10, 50%에서 4.6, 2.54 cycle/mm 모두 동일했고 NPS, DQE, PSNR MAE, MSE, CNR, SNR, 정성적 평가는 모두 알루미늄 미사용 시 같거나 약간 우수했다. PSNR은 30 dB이상으로 모두 의미있는 수치였고 정성적 평가에서 T-test 검정은 p>0.05였다. 알루미늄 여과판은 광자검출효율과 화질 평가에서 사용 전, 후 큰 차이가 없으므로 특성 방사선 제거를 통한 피부선량 감소를 위해 사용됨이 효율적이라고 사료된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 무선부품의 일종인 cavity filter금형을 제작하여 도금용 ABS 수지와 PC/ABS alloy 수지를 사용하여 일반사출성형과 금형온도가 높은 MmSH방식, 두 타입으로 성형품을 제작하였다. 성형품의 수축률 변화는 MmSH 방식일 때 ABS 성형품의 단위캐비티 격막부분에서 수축률이 감소되었다. 중량변화는 ABS와 PC/ABS 성형품 모두 MmSH 방식일 때 증가하였고, 성형품 표면 거칠기는 MmSH 방식일 때 모두 거칠기가 감소되었다.

실험실 규모에서 고온 섬유 여과재를 이용한 방향족 유기화합물 제거 특성 조사 (Removal Efficiency Study of Aromatic Hydrocarbons Using a High-Temperature Fiber Filter on a Laboratory Scale)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of removal efficiency for aromatic hydrocarbons using a high-temperature fiber filter on a laboratory scale. The main elemental compositions of a high-temperaure fiber filter are aluminium and silica, which can act as the catalysts. Benzene, toluene and o-xylene among aromatic hydrocarbons were used in this experiment. For 3cm thickness of fiber filter, these compounds were removed more than 90% at the face velocities of 3cm/sec and 5cm/sec above 45$0^{\circ}C$. For 4cm thickness of it, the removal efficiencies of these compounds were almost 90% from 40$0^{\circ}C$ at the same face velocities, suggesting that it may be due to increasing the contact time between the fiber filter and aromatic hydrocarbons. The pressure droop ranged from 22 to 48mmH2O for 3cm thickness of fiber filter. However, for 4cm thickness of it, it was about two times(41~89mm$H_2O$) higher than that for 3cm fiber thickness.

  • Film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) using AIN reactively sputtered at room temperature was fabricated. The FBAR is composed of a piezoelectric aluminium nitride thin film, top electrode of Al and bottom electrode of Au connected by a short (200${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) transmission line on both sides and reflector layers of SiO$_2$- W Pair. The active areas of Al and Au were patterned using 150${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ diameter shadow mask. The series resonance frequency (fs) and the parallel resonance frequency (fp) were measured at 1.976 GHz and 2.005 GHz, respectively. The minimum insertion loss and return loss were 6.1 dB and 37.19 dB, and the quality factor (Q) was 4261.

오배자 천연염색을 적용한 필터교체형 면마스크 개발 (Development of Filter Replacement Type Mask by Natural Dyeing of Gallnut)

  • Recently, as the demand for masks increases, the use of filter-replaceable cotton masks is increasing. A filter-replaceable cotton mask is one of the ways to solve the environmental problems of a disposable nonwoven mask because only the filter can be replaced after washing. Cotton fiber products are known to be environmentally friendly, but cotton products dyed with general synthetic dyes are not safe for humans. In this study, to prepare of cotton mask applied with natural dyeing, the optimal dyeing conditions are set when dyeing with gallnut extract. A polychromatic natural dye that changes color by mordant, and the functionalities of gallnut dyeing fabrics are evaluated. The experimental method is dyed the gallnut by temperature and time by concentration to set the optimal conditions. The color fastness rating grade of aluminium potassium sulfate dodecahydrate, copper(ll) sulfate pentahydrate, and iron(ll) chloride tetrahydrate were evaluated after the pre/post mordanting.
