The global pandemic, coronavirus disease caused by Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has led to the implementation of wastewater surveillance as a means to monitor the spread of SARS-CoV-2 prevalence in the community. The challenging aspect of establishing wastewater surveillance requires a well-equipped laboratory for wastewater sample analysis. According to previous studies, RT-PCR-based molecular tests are the most widely used and popular detection method worldwide. However, this approach for the detection or quantification of SARS-CoV-2 from wastewater demands a specialized laboratory, skilled personnel, expensive instruments, and a workflow that typically takes 6 to 8 hours to provide results for a few samples. Rapid and reliable alternative detection methods are needed to enable less-well-qualified practitioners to set up and provide sensitive detection of SARS-CoV-2 within wastewater at regional laboratories. In some cases, the structural and molecular characteristics of SARS-CoV-2 are unknown, and various strategies for the correct diagnosis of COVID-19 have been proposed by research laboratories. The ongoing research and development of alternative and rapid technologies, namely RT-LAMP, ELISA, Biosensors, and GeneXpert, offer a wide range of potential options not only for SARS-CoV-2 detection but also for other viruses. This study aims to discuss the effective regional rapid detection and quantification methods in community wastewater.

The percentage of nurses who know the complementary and alternative therapies was 50.1% Most of them(70.6%) acknowledged the therapies from newspapers, television and magazines. 2. The complementary and alternative therapy was perceived as effective by 64.9% of the nurses and as trusted by 60.2% of them The effective methods of the therapy are acupuncture herb medicine and massage. 3. Most of the nurses 93.4% experienced getting inquiries from patients or their guardians whether to use the therapies. 4. The complementary and alternative therapies was experienced by 38.9% of nurses and 7.1% of them use the therapies frequently 92.9% of patients and families were satisfied with the result 'Massage Therapy' was used the most with no side-effects and thus higher need of education for nurses. 5. They wanted to be trained for massage therapy finger-pressure, music therapy, acupuncture, aroma therapy in order. 6. Reliance on the complementary and alternative therapies, 75.2% of nurses completed the course trusted the therapies and the result of others uncompleted was similar as 52.2% Moreover both 79.5% of nurses completed it and 61.6% of the others said that the complementary and alternative therapy's nursing interventions is possible to develop. 7. It shows high relation to recognition having possibilities for applying and developing as the nursing intervention. if the confidence is as high as about the complementary and alternative therapies. Based of the results of this study as above this study proposes as follows. First, The nurses should understand mentality of the patients so that the nurses have to put in operation appropriate nursing intervention as accurate knowledge of the alternation therapies using to cancer patients for having on damages to patients from their rash using way. Furthermore, it is necessary to supply the special place and the professional nurses taking complete charge at them. Next politic interest and support from government are required to develop and practice systematic and resonable education programs for the complementary and alternative therapies. Moreover, it is necessary for nurses to be educated about the therapies continually. Finally, it is compulsory that the research and development for complementary and alternative therapies is needed. In addition, it has to be made standard and legal equipment for safety efficacy and theory about the therapies.

Objective: Since athletic performance is a most importance trait in horses, most research focused on physiological and physical studies of horse athletic abilities. In contrast, the molecular analysis as well as the regulatory pathway studies remain insufficient for evaluation and prediction of horse athletic abilities. In our previous study, we identified AXL receptor tyrosine kinase (AXL) gene which was expressed as alternative spliced isoforms in skeletal muscle during exercise. In the present study, we validated two AXL alternative splicing transcripts (named as AXLa for long form and AXLb for short form) in equine skeletal muscle to gain insight(s) into the role of each alternative transcript during exercise. Methods: We validated two isoforms of AXL transcripts in horse tissues by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and then cloned the transcripts to confirm the alternative locus and its sequences. Additionally, we examined the expression patterns of AXLa and AXLb transcripts in horse tissues by quantitative RT-PCR (qRT-PCR). Results: Both of AXLa and AXLb transcripts were expressed in horse skeletal muscle and the expression levels were significantly increased after exercise. The sequencing analysis showed that there was an alternative splicing event at exon 11 between AXLa and AXLb transcripts. 3-dimentional (3D) prediction of the alternative protein structures revealed that the structural distance of the connective region between fibronectin type 3 (FN3) and immunoglobin (Ig) domain was different between two alternative isoforms. Conclusion: It is assumed that the expression patterns of AXLa and AXLb transcripts would be involved in regulation of exercise-induced stress in horse muscle possibly through an $NF-{\kappa}B$ signaling pathway. Further study is necessary to uncover biological function(s) and significance of the alternative splicing isoforms in race horse skeletal muscle.
PURPOSES : This study proposes the road asset valuation approach using alternative depreciation methods. It has become necessary to have asset management system according to the adoption of accrual basis accounting for governmental financial reporting and the amendment of the road act. Therefore, it is very important to analyze the effect of depreciation methods on road asset value as a basic research for road asset management system. METHODS : The Ministry of Strategy and Finance (MOSF) has mainly performed road asset valuation based on Write down Replacement Cost and Straight Line depreciation method. This study suggests some appropriate asset valuation methods for road assets through case analysis using three depreciation methods: Consumption-based depreciation method, Condition-based depreciation method, and Straight Line depreciation method. A road asset valuation data of national highway route 1 (year 2014) is used to analyze the effect of three depreciation methods on the road asset value. Road assets include land and structures (pavement, bridge, and tunnel). This study mainly focuses on structures such as bridges and tunnels, because according to governmental accounting standards, land and road pavement assets do not depreciate. RESULTS : The main results of this study are as follows. Firstly, overall asset value of national highway route 1 was estimated at 6.97 trillion KRW when MOSF's method (straight-line depreciation method) is applied. Secondly, asset value was estimated at 4.85 trillion KRW on application of consumption-based depreciation method. Thirdly, asset value was estimated at 4.37 trillion KRW when condition-based depreciation method is applied. Therefore, either consumption-based or condition-based depreciation methods would be more appropriate than straight-line depreciation method if we can use the condition data of road assets including land that are available in real time. CONCLUSIONS : Since road assets such as pavements, bridges, and tunnels have various patterns of deterioration and condition monitoring period, it is necessary to consider a specific valuation method according to the condition of each road asset. Firstly, even though road pavements do not depreciate, asset valuation through condition-based depreciation method would be more appropriate when requirements for application of non-depreciation approach are not satisfied. Since bridge and tunnel facilities show various patterns of deterioration and condition monitoring period by type and condition level, consumption-based depreciation method based on deterioration model would be appropriate. Therefore, it is necessary to have a reasonable asset management system to apply condition-based depreciation method and a periodic condition investigation to manage road assets well.
Current 'Pronunciation Methods of Standard Korean(PMSK)' has several problems. Some of those are from conflicts with linguistic reality, and the rest are from their internal inconsistencies. So, we feel that it should be revised as soon as possible. But it seems that the revision is not the best way, because linguistic change will make us revise it continually. The only way to establish its reasonable alternative is that we should update our descriptive dictionary whenever we need to.

Two methods are proposed for constructing a confidence interval on the among group variance component in a unbalanced one-way random effects model. Computer simulation is used to compare these methods with alternative procedures. The results indicate that the method1 and methods2 perform well over small group size and large sample size respectively.
Objective: Interests in integrative medicine and CAM(Complementary and Alternative Medicine) are on the rise. However, the term 'integrative medicine' is often confused with the concept of CAM. This paper aims at clarifying the concept of integrative medicine. Methods: The definition, concept, and research methods used to explain integrative medicine have been inquired into. Also, the differences between the researches on integrative medicine and those on CAM have been studied. Moreover, domestic researches regarding integrative medicine have been analyzed. Results: The concept of integrative medicine was born in order to create a more patient-centered medicine by actively accommodating the medical system classified as CAM. The biggest difference that discriminates integrative medicine from CAM is the fact that integrative medicine does not depend solely on establishing its grounds through the process of RCT(Randomized Controlled Trial). Conclusion: Domestic researches regarding integrative medicine naturally leads to the concept of unification of medicine, but they do not concern the original meaning of integrative medicine. It is only after active discussions on the meaning, philosophical backgrounds, and research methods of integrative medicine become possible that a truly patient-oriented medicine will be realized.
Among ground impedance measurement methods, the fall-of-potential method is the most thorough and reliable method. In the fall-of-potential method, ground electrode and auxiliary probes are placed in a straight line, and then, auxiliary potential probe is moved away from the ground electrode. The point at which plotted resistance curve flattens out is taken as right position of auxiliary potential probe. However, in some cases, it is hard to place ground electrode and auxiliary probes in a straight line. Therefore, we provided alternative placement method in this research. The method can be easily applicable to placing auxiliary probes. Also, this paper analyzed and compared ground impedance measurement standards of large grounding systems. Based on the analysis, practical measurement method using an earth tester was proposed. The proposed methods presented in this paper will be useful when determining locations of auxiliary probes in alternative positions, and the methods can be applied practically and easily.
The settlement prediction is very important to preloading method for a construction site on a soft ground. At the design stage, however, it is hard to predict the settlement exactly due to limitations of the site survey. Most of the settlement prediction is performed by a regression settlement curve based on the field data during a construction. In Korea, hyperbolic method has been most commonly used to align the settlement curve with the field data, because of its simplicity and many application cases. The results from hyperbolic method, however, may be differed by data selections or data fitting methods. In this study, the analyses using hyperbolic method were performed about the field data of $\bigcirc\bigcirc$ site in Pusan. Two data fitting methods, using an axis transformation or an alternative method, were applied with the various data group. If data was used only after the ground water level being stabilized, fitting results using both methods were in good agreement with the measured data. Without the information about the ground water level, the alternative method gives better results with the field data than the method using an axis transformation.
