Load-level isolator model for pallets on industrial storage racks and validation with experimental results

  • This paper introduces a system allows for seismic isolation of the pallet from the rack in the down-aisle direction, occupies minimal vertical space (5 cm) and ±7.5 cm of deformation range. A conceptual model of the isolation system is presented, leading to a constitutive equation governing its behavior. A first experimental campaign studying the response of the isolation system's components was conducted to calibrate the parameters of its constitutive equation. A second experimental campaign evaluated the response of the isolation system with mass placed on it, subjected to cyclic loading. The results of this second campaign were compared with the numerical predictions using the pre-calibrated constitutive equation, allowing a double-blind validation of the constitutive equation of the isolation system. Finally, a numerical evaluation of the isolation system subjected to a synthetic earthquake of one component. This evaluation allowed verifying attributes of the proposed isolation system, such as its self-centering capacity and its effectiveness in reducing the absolute acceleration of the isolated mass and the shear load transmitted to the supporting beams of the rack.

개방돈사의 무창돈사형 환기시설 개선 효과 (The Effect of Vantilation System Renovation from Winch Style to Non-window Style for Swine Barn)

  • $\bigcirc$ 현장조사 결과 우리나라 개방식 돈사의 측벽 비율은 윈치시설이 90% 이상이었고, 반무창은 5%였으며 무창 또한 5% 전후로 조사되었다. $\bigcirc$ 리모델링 돈사는 복도덕트로 입기를 하였고 지붕 또는 측벽배기로 하였고 이때 돈사의 폭 10~12 m, 길이 30~50m 전후로 조사되었다. $\bigcirc$ 에너지 절감효과를 위한 복도 설치는 개방식 돈사의 리모델링 개조시 돈사 출입문에 복도 2~3 m (돈사길이 비율 7~8%)를 설치가 양호하였다. $\bigcirc$ 리모델링 돈사의 환기시스템은 복도에서의 덕트를 통한 입기를 실시하고 양쪽 측벽을 판넬 등으로 밀폐화 (무창)를 하고 측벽배기를 하였다. $\bigcirc$ 폐사율 저감은 개선전 11% (47두)에서 개선후 3% (12두) (73% 감소) 되었으며, 에너지 절감효과는 개선전 155만 원 (5,595 kw)에서 개선후 73만 원이었다. $\bigcirc$ 경제성을 분석한 결과 400두 돈사를 리모델링 할 경우 겨울철 4개월 (12월부터 3월까지) 사육할 경우 2,835,680원 이익을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, We determine the expected travel time for several forks Storage/Retrieval machine which is allowed multiple stops in aisle. When throughput is increased, We propose adding to fork number of each S/R machine rather than adding to number of S/R machine, We also describe such a model which determines the optimal number of each several forks S/R machine subject to constraints on the hourly throughput and warehouse dimensions. Numerical example is presented to compare warehouse shapes against each single fork, twin forks, triple forks S/R machine for various throughput values.

  • 본 연구는 AutoMod를 이용한 오더피킹시스템의 최적설계 성능산정을 위한 모델의 연구로서 오더피킹 방법은 통로끝오터피킹(End-of-Aisle OP)의 방법을 사용하였다. 오더피피킹방법으로 시스템의 성능 산정을 위한 수리 모델과 이의 전산프로그램을 개발하였다. 수리모델의 제한사항들을 보완하기 위하여 AutoMod를 이용한 시뮬레이션방법을 응용하고 과정을 보였다. 예제를 통해서 구해진 각 시스템의 오더피킹 능력산정에의 응용결과를 구하였고, 주어진 수리모델의 결과와 AutoMod를 이용한 시뮬레이션방법으로 구한 결과를 도출하고 결과를 비교하여 보았다.

지게차 충돌 위치 및 보관물류 분포에 따른 선반구조물의 거동특성분석 (Behavioral Characteristics Investigation of Rack Structure Depending on Forklift Impact Scenarios and Storage Distributions)

  • The statistics of recent accidents in warehouses show that a heavy toll of lives were produced by various accidents, e.g. collision, overturn, fall, slip, exposure to harmful substances or environments, etc. Of significant concern amongst them is the collision, especially the collision between forklift and storage rack structure. Accordingly, this study focuses on behavioral characteristics of rack structure subjected to dynamic impact loading of a forklift. For this purpose, time-domain response analysis has been performed on a standard 2-bay six-story rack structure consisting of columns, beams and bracing members with perforated open section. In order to investigate the most critical scenario, the impact loads are applied in both down-aisle and cross-aisle directions, and the impact locations are also varied along the shelves of the palettes. In order to deal with storage distributions, three types of rack structures are further taken into account: original empty rack structure with no storage, half-loaded rack structure and fully-loaded rack structure. The numerical simulation results demonstrate that the dynamic characteristics of the rack structure are significantly dependent on the distribution of the storage goods and its natural period varies from 0.24sec to 1.06sec, approximately 4.4 times. Further, the parametric studies show that the forklift impact is most critical to the safety of the rack structure when it collides either at the base or at the top of the rack structure.

  • The environmental considerations should be taken into full consideration in order to make the use of ground space as comfort and efficient as that of ground space. The visual environmental factors which provide visual informations in underground spaces where the environmental information can be acquired only by the surroundings expand their role as affordance for wayfinding. This study focuses on the visual performance evaluation of wayfinding factors on the subway transfer station platform and aisle as major space for movement in four subway transfe stations and analyzes the material, pattern, color, and lighting provided by the visual environment in underground space as directional marked label, regional differentiation and sign system. The results of this study comes are as follows. First, As to the directional marked label at the subway platform and transfer aisle, following patterns are colors, finishing materials and lighting for the sake of safety and convenience, And regional differentiation, following colors are patterns for the space division. Finally sign system which practically provides the most information, however, it is most insufficient to be a space-preception element. Second, According to the type of platform structures, such as an island platform and a separate platform, the main areas of and necessity for the space-perception elements may bring about changes. Third, these four stations that has been analyzed for this study, lighting, compared with color, finishing material and pattern, has been highly insufficient to be a perception element.

오일러 수와 구조 텐서를 사용한 개선된 Nonparametric 변화 검출 알고리즘 (An Improved Nonparametric Change Detection Algorithm Using Euler Number and Structure Tensor)

  • 동영상에서 움직이는 객체를 찾아내기 위해 프레임 차분에 기반을 둔 변화 검출 알고리즘이 많이 사용된다. 이러한 알고리즘들은 프레임의 변화를 추정된 통계적 배경 모델을 이용하여 검출한다. 그러나 이러한 추정된 배경 모델이 실제 통계적 분포와 다르면 잘못된 검출 결과들이 생성되게 된다. 본 논문에서는 오일러 수와 구조적 텐서를 이용한 개선된 변화 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 오일러 수에 기반을 둔 맵핑 방법은 Nonparametric 변화검출 알고리즘에 의해 잘못 검출된 결과를 감소시키는데 사용될 수 있다. 또한 본 논문에서 제안된 구조 텐서를 이용한 방법은 움직인 객체 영역 내부의 변화를 검출하는데 사용된다. 제안된 방법은 기존의 방법에 비해 Weather에서는 90%, Mother & daughter에서는 34% 그리고 Aisle에서는 43%의 검출 에러 감소 효과를 얻을 수 있음을 실험 결과로 확인한다.

  • 최근 항공분야에서는 온실가스 배출 저감을 위한 친환경 기술이 강조되면서 전기를 주동력원으로 기계적인 직진, 회전 운동을 제어하는 전기식 작동기의 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 단일통로 항공기 전륜조향용 전기식 작동기의 피로수명을 평가하였다. 구조해석을 통해 작동기의 취약부위들을 선정하여 이들에 대한 단위하중 응력표를 구축하였고, 각 하중 프로파일에 대한 대표응력을 계산하였다. 또한 낙수계수법으로 대표응력 그룹의 개별 프로파일을 추출하고, 이를 소재의 S-N 선도에 적용하여 개별 프로파일에 대한 손상을 계산하였다. 최종적으로 손상누적법칙으로 취약 부위들에서의 총 손상을 산출하였고, 단일통로 항공기 전륜조향용 전기식 작동기의 취약 부위들에 대한 피로수명을 평가하였다.

A Concept on Seat Assignment Systems

  • This paper presents a concept on seat assignment systems. The concept is based on the assumption that customers or passengers prefer to select seats at their own choosing and allowing them to do so would fragment remaining seats. This undesirable condition may make a group of people intending to be seated together unable to find a sufficient number of consecutive seats. The concept proposed is to set aside a number of seats when the map of available seats is shown for customer's selection. A number of functions are created to allot seats to be visible for choosing according to the number and locations of the remaining seats and the number in the group of the passengers. Passengers' preferences such as window or aisle seating, front seating are taken into accounts. A primitive example of seat assignment system of a Boeing 717 aircraft, assuming the number of passengers in a group being 1, 2 or 3, is given based on the concept.

철근콘크리트 공동주택의 평면확장을 위한 연결부의 전단성능 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Shear Connector Performance Estimation for Plan Extension of RC Apartment Structures)

  • Nowadays, remodeling cases for some apartment like Hyundai through the support of government are reported. Conventionally, balcony and aisle are extended for additional private area or balcony which is supported by new frame is extended. In extension work at site, dowel bar is conventionally inserted in old concrete slab for connection with old and new slab, however, an examination for structural safety is rarely performed prior to construction, if ever, vertical load is only considered for structural analysis. When conventionally connected structures are exposed to earthquake, the old and new structures have individual earthquake behavior with different mode, which may lead the elimination of resistance to earthquake in new structures. As of this reason, new detailing connection system which can have light weight and sufficient ductility performance is developed for application to domestic extension works. Additionally, user manual and specification are also developed for fertilization of application for the developed technology.
