항모쏘티생성시스템(CVSGS) 경계분석에 관한 연구 (The Study of Aircraft Carrier Sortie Generation System(CVSGS) Boundary Analysis)

  • This paper describes boundary analysis for modeling Aircraft Carrier Sortie Generation System(CVSGS). An aircraft carrier, as a super system, is a warship going into battle by operating a number of aircraft on deck and it should be lay down a definition about aviation operations interacting between aircraft carrier and carrier air wing in small deck area. For this reason this paper models common aviation support system for generating sortie basic unit of carrier aviation operations unlike to general warship and defines boundaries between this system and aircraft carrier and carrier air wing. This paper analysis activities of aircraft carrier and embarked carrier air wing in carrier aviation operations, and analysis and defines boundaries Aircraft Carrier Sortie Generation System(CVSGS) to perform core functions in interacting between aircraft carrier and embarked carrier air wing.

DoDAF를 이용한 항모 항공지원시스템 아키텍처 개발 (The Development of Carrier Aviation Support System Architecture using DoDAF)

  • This paper describes a development of aircraft carrier aviation support system architecture using DoDAF. The aircraft carrier, a warship performing a role of mobile sea air base in offensive and defense mission, is super system that is comprised of carrier itself and carrier-based airwing. Performing critical role in step with aviation operations in carrier-airwing interactions, the aviation support system of aircraft carrier is also system of systems. It requires a complex and integrated approach based on systems engineering in establishing concept of this complex systems. In this view, this study establishes an operational scenario and derives operational requirements by identifying aviation operations environment on deck of aircraft carrier. The study presents the operational architecture of the carrier aviation support system by using DoDAF and CASE tool CORE.

국가 역량을 고려한 효율성 기반 한국형 항공모함 규모 최적화 연구 (A Study on the Scale Optimization of the Korean-type Aircraft Carrier based on Efficiency Considering National Competency)

  • ROK Navy intends to secure the Korean-type aircraft carrier in order to effectively prepare for various future security threats. In general, the Korean national competency is considered to be at the level of having an aircraft carrier, but it is unclear what scale aircraft carrier would be appropriate. In this study, the efficiency was evaluated through the relative comparison between national competency(national power, economic power) and the scale of aircraft carriers, and the optimal scale of the Korean-type aircraft carrier that could be acquired was presented. A DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis) model was applied to aircraft carriers(19 aircraft carriers in 11 countries) currently in operation and scheduled to be possessed in the world. As input variables, CINC(Composite Index of National Capability) and GDP(Gross Domestic Product), which are the most widely used as indicators of national and economic power, and as output variables, the full-load displacement, length, and width of aircraft carriers were selected. ARIMA(short-term within 5 years) and simple regression(long-term over 5 years) were used to estimate the future national competency of each country at the time of aircraft carriers acquisition. The relative efficiency score of the Korean-type aircraft carrier currently being evaluated is 1.062, and it was evaluated as small-scale aircraft carrier compared to the national competency. Based on Korean national competency, the optimal scale of the Korean-type aircraft carrier calculated by aggregating benchmark groups, is 58,308.1 tons of full-load displacement, 279.4m in length, and 68.3m in width.

한국형 경항공모함 항공관제체계에 대한 연구 (A Study on the air traffic control system of Korea Light Aircraft Carrier)

  • 항공모함은 해상에서 항공기지 역할을 하는 전투함으로 항공기를 운용하는 군용함정으로 탑재된 항공기를 통하여 전투를 수행한다. 해군은 2033년경 수직이착륙 전투기와 헬기를 탑재할 수 있는 4만 톤급의 경항공모함 운용계획을 제시하였는데 본 연구는 이러한점에 착안하여 해외사례를 기초로 우리나라에서 경항공모함을 운영에서 요구되는 항공지원시스템 가운데 항공관제장비의 운영에 대해 고찰하였다. 필수장비로 공역 관제를 위한 PriFly, TWR의 ILARTS, ILM와 접근관제를 위한 ASR, PAR, LAAS 또는 RNAV, PALS(JPALS) 이 필요하며, 항행안전시설을 위한 URN-25 TACAN, ICLS(El/Az), ACLS OLS, MOVLAS, IFLOLS 등과 함께 통신네트워크를 위한 LINK-16 및 CEC, SATCOM이 요구되며, 적아 식별장비의 구축이 요구된다. 본 연구는 2부로 구성되며 2부에서는 구체적인 항공모함에서의 관제 방법을 기술할 것이다.

A New Overlap Current Restraining Method for Current-source Rectifier

  • To ensure a DC current path and avoid large voltage overshoot of the DC-link inductor, alternating PWM pulses in the current-source rectifier should be supplemented by overlap time, which generates an overlap current and causes input current distortion. In this study, the influence of overlap time is illustrated by comparing the AC-side current before and after overlap time is added. The overlap current distribution caused by overlap time is discussed under different modulation carriers, including triangle carrier, positive-going carrier, and negative-going carrier. The quantitative relationship between the extra harmonics of the AC-side current and overlap time is based on the Fourier analysis. Based on the commutation analysis, a new carrier modulation scheme that can restrain overlap current is proposed. A 3 kW prototype is established to verify the effectiveness of the influence of overlap time and the proposed restraining modulation scheme.

  • 항공모함은 군용함정이 항공기를 통하여 전투를 수행하기 위하여 항공기의 질서정연한 흐름유지가 필요하다. 항공기 흐름유지는 함정과 항공안전을 강화하기 위한 중요한 요소이다. 항공기 흐름유지를 위해서는 현재 운용 중인 레이더 기반의 감시정보와 CNS 통합 기술에 기반을 둔 감시 장비들에 의한 감시정보를 동시에 수용하여 보다 양질의 관제정보를 제공하는 최첨단 항공관제시스템을 개발이 필수적이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 이러한 점에 착안하여 해외 사례를 기초로 우리나라에서 경항공모함을 운영하기 위해 요구되는 항공지원시스템(Aviation Support System)과 항공관제장비(Air Traffic Control System)의 운영에 대해 구체적인 관제 장비의 기능 및 운영 방법 관하여 기술 한다.

Study on Safe Set and Maneuverability Envelope Protection during Arresting Landing

  • According to the characteristic of carrier-based aircraft, the method of solving safe set during arresting landing is discussed in this paper based on optimal control and invariant set theory. The safe sets of carrier aircraft are evaluated in different states on the characteristic of longitudinal augmented system by using the level set method. Then, the influence on the boundary of safe set under various factors is analyzed. At last, the maneuverability envelope protection is established based on the corresponding theory, and the validity of the system is verified through simulation. The results demonstrate preliminarily that: compared with mass and thrust, the elevator is the greatest influence factor for the boundary of safe set; the dynamic trajectory of carrier-based aircraft can be located at the interior of safe set effectively with the maneuverability envelope protection.

여객 및 수하물의 연착으로 인한 항공운송인의 손해배상책임제도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Legislative System of Air Carrier's Liability in case of Delay of Passengers or Baggage)

  • 현대 사회에서 항공기는 중요한 운송수단으로 자리매김 하였고 항공 여객운송에 있어서 항공기 연착 손해로 인한 분쟁은 항공운송 관련 분쟁 중 가장 많이 발생하는 일이다. 항공운송에 관한 국제조약이 적용되지 못하는 국내운송 등과 같은 영역을 규율하기 위하여 2011년 상법 항공운송편이 제정 발효되었고 여기에 여객 및 수하물의 연착으로 인한 항공운송인의 손해배상책임제도도 마련되었다. 몇 개 안되는 조문이지만 항공운송 중 가장 빈번히 일어나는 항공기 연착으로 인한 손해배상 문제를 규율하기 때문에 그 중요성은 매우 크다고 할 수 있다. 기존의 바르샤바협약 체제의 문제점을 개선한 1999년 몬트리올협약의 관련 내용을 대부분 수용하여 제정된 우리 상법 항공운송편 규정들은 널리 통용되고 있는 국제적 기준에 부합한다는 장점은 있지만, 1999년 몬트리올협약의 문제점들을 거의 그대로 지니고 있다는 단점이 있다. 상법 항공운송편상 여객 및 수하물의 연착 손해로 인한 배상책임제도 관련 규정들의 문제점 및 개선방안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연착으로 인한 항공운송인의 손해배상책임이 성립되기 위한 '연착'의 개념 정의가 없으므로 '연착'에 관한 정의 규정을 두는 것을 생각해 볼 필요가 있다. 둘째, 여객에 대한 연착 손해 발생 시 국내운송의 경우 국제운송의 1/8 수준으로 항공운송인의 배상책임한도액을 차등하여 규정한 것은 항공사보호에 별로 도움이 되지 않는 반면 소비자 피해의 구제 측면에서는 바람직하지 않으므로 국내운송의 여객 연착 손해 관련 배상책임한도액을 국제운송의 1/4~1/2 수준으로 상향 조정하는 것이 바람직하다고 본다. 셋째, 수하물의 멸실 훼손의 경우와 연착의 경우를 구분 없이 수하물의 손해로 인한 항공운송인의 배상책임한도액을 모두 동일하게 규정하고 있는 것은 일반적으로 손해의 정도가 다른 대상들을 구분하지 않았기 때문에 문제가 있다고 생각되며, 수하물의 멸실 훼손의 경우와 연착의 경우를 구분하여 별도로 배상책임한도액을 규정하는 것이 바람직하다고 생각된다. 위에서 언급된 상법 항공운송편의 여객 및 수하물의 연착 손해 관련 배상책임 규정의 문제점 등을 비롯한 동 법률의 개선요구들에 대한 많은 연구와 논의를 통해 오랜 노력과 기다림 끝에 제정된 국내 항공운송법제를 더욱 발전시켜 나가야 할 것이다.

함재기 이·착함 시뮬레이션 시스템 개발 및 활용 (Development and Application of Carrier-Based STOVL Aircraft Take-Off and Landing Simulation System)

  • The Republic of Korea Navy is reviewing the development of a ship capable of operating STOVL (Short Take-Off and Vertical Landing) aircraft. However, the Navy has no experience in operating or building such ships, so engineering means are needed to review the design and confirm the operating concept at the concept and basic design stages. In this paper, the authors introduce the results of developing a STOVL aircraft take-off and landing simulation system that reflects the ship's seaworthiness characteristics and major design dimensions based on engineering-based modeling and simulation technology in response to the Navy's needs. The simulation system was developed in which the engineering characteristics of the ship were estimated based on the basic design, and the motion characteristics of the aircraft were implemented by developing equations of motion for a general STOVL. The system was developed to simulate naval aircraft's take-off and landing process and deck movement situation and to confirm the ship operation scenario. By using this simulation system, the Navy will be able to examine not only the ship's structural characteristics at the basic design stage but also the basic conditions for special operational requirements such as take-off and landing.

Comparison Between DCM and Quaternion Transformation in Lever Arm Compensation of Reference System for Flight Performance Evaluation of DGPS/INS

  • The flight performance evaluation of navigation system is very significant because the reliability of navigation data directly affect the safety of aircraft. Especially, the high-level navigation system such as DGPS/INS, need more precise flight performance evaluation method. The performance analysis is evaluated by comparing between the navigation system in aircraft and reference trajectory which is more precise than navigation system in aircraft. In order to verify DGPS/INS performance of m-level, the GPS receiver, which is capable post-processed Carrier-phase Differential GPS(CDGPS) method of cm-level, have to be used as reference system. The DGPS/INS is estimated the Center of Gravity (CG) point of aircraft to offer precise performance while the reference system is output the position of GPS antenna which is mounted on the outside of aircraft. Therefore, in order to more precise performance evaluation, it needs to compensate the lever arm and coordinates transformation. This paper use quaternion and Direct Cosine Matrix(DCM) methods as coordinate transformation matrix in lever arm compensation of CDGPS reference trajectory. And it compares NED errors of DCM and quaternion transformation in lever arm of reference trajectory via DGPS/INS result.
