한국 남자 군인 방한복의 신 치수체계 개발 (New Sizing System Development of Korean Male Military Winter Jacket)

  • This study was designed to help develop an optimized sizing system for the military winter jackets of Korean males. First, we conducted a survey on the supply rate of military winter jackets and the wearing of suitable size jackets in order to identify problems in the current sizing system. We next developed a new sizing system generation method to satisfy the coverage rate and appropriate size number: Hybrid of Grid with Optimization. The findings of this study were: 1. The survey indicated that a 90 (chest girth) size is necessary; in addition, a one-step large size jacket fit well as a right size jacket. 2. We developed three optimized sizing systems for Korean male military winter jackets using the Hybrid of Grid with an optimization method and suggested one of them as a final new sizing system. The new sizing system consisted of two primary dimension: chest girth and stature. It has a 14 size number and its extended coverage rate is larger than the current sizing system and it has a 90 (chest girth) size. It also selected an optimized size for the area of low population density. The new sizing system is therefore considered very effective for Korean male soldiers military winter jackets.

  • 본 연구에서는 기업 대상 설문조사와 면담조사 결과를 토대로 진주 실크산업의 혁신역량을 분석하고, 지역 실크산업 경쟁력 강화를 위해 추진하였던 지역혁신특성화사업의 성과를 평가하였다. 연구의 주요 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 진주 실크산업의 혁신의 원천은 수도권의 고객기업과 진주지역의 대학 및 지원기관인 것으로 나타났으며, 이들과의 네트워크를 통해 제품 및 공정기술의 혁신을 추구하고 있다. 둘째, 진주 실크산업 경쟁력 강화를 위해 추진한 지역혁신특성화사업은 지역 실크업체들의 마케팅 역량 및 R&D 역량 제고라는 측면에서 대체로 긍정적인 영향을 미친것으로 나타났다. 그럼에도 불구하고 지속적으로 쇠퇴하는 지역 실크산업의 존립기반을 강화하기 위해서는 혁신 인프라를 강화하고, 경쟁력 기반을 갖춘 기업들을 중심으로 작지만 강한 기술혁신형 산업 클러스터로의 전환을 모색해야 할 것이다.

교정전문가 및 교정상담자가 인식하는 출소자의 사회재적응 경험에 관한 연구 (A Study on Social Readjustment Experience of Ex-Offenders Based on Perceptions of Correctional Professionals and Correctional Counselors)

  • 본 연구는 교정전문가 및 상담자의 인식을 통해 출소자의 사회재적응 경험을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 범죄학 교수, 판사, 교정시설 종사자 등 교정전문가와 한국법무보호복지공단의 교정 상담자, 총 18명을 대상으로 반구조화된 심층면접을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 Krippendorff(2003)가 제안한 내용분석 절차에 따라 분석이 이루어졌다. 연구 결과, 출소자들의 사회재적응 경험과 관련하여 '교육', '심리치료', '취업 및 구직활동', '봉사 문화 여가 활동', '사회 국가적 지원'의 5개 영역에서 보호요인, 장애요인, 정책제언의 요소를 15개의 차원과 36개의 범주, 77개의 의미단위로 도출하였다. 연구결과에 기초하여 논의와 제한점을 제시하였다.

  • 국내 외 선행연구결과에 의한 어린이 출생 전 후 건강에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 주요 유해물질은 inorganic arsenic, BPA, 2,4-D, dichlorvos, methylmercury, PCBs, pesticide, phthalate, PFOA/PFOS, vinyl chloride 등으로서 국내에서도 이들을 포함한 확인 연구가 수행되어져야 할 것이다. 또한 어린이들의 행동발달과 연관된 생활환경에서의 다양한 인체노출이 확인됨에 따라 탁아소, 유치원과 같은 경우 어린이 활동공간을 대상으로 환경모니터링 및 위해관리활동도 병행되어야 할 것이다. 또한 어린이 건강에 영향을 미치는 유해물질을 중심으로 독성평가, 인체영향연구, 환경 및 인체모니터링과 위해평가를 수행하므로 유해물질의 원인-상관관계를 확인하고 사실자료에 근거한 관리정책을 반영하는 것이 바람직하다.

중소기업 근로자 보건관리대행기관 QA 평가지표의 개발과정 (The Development of the Evaluation Tool of Group Occupational Health Program for Workers of Small and Medium Sized Industries)

  • Background: Group occupational health program by non-for-profit agency, started five years ago, for management of health problems in small and medium sized industries, is one of the measures to cope with limited human and financial resources in occupational health. The program has been rapidly expanding to include 54 participating institutions, private as well as public, all over the country. In spite of its potential impact on health of employees and practice of occupational health in small and medium sized industries, comprehensive evaluation in terms of quality has not been tried. Objectives : The aim of this study are to develop and apply criteria to assess quality of newly developed Korean group occupational health program. Methods : By defining occupational health services, in particular for small and medium sized industries, as one of the primary health care, we included followings as core elements of sound occupational health program; accessibility, continuity, intersectoral collaboration, comprehensiveness, community participation, technical quality, adequacy, focus on preventive services, acceptability, and workers' satisfaction. Again we divided each elements into five major components of national health system infrastructures developed by World Health Organization; development of health resources organized arrangement or resources, delivery of health care, economic support, and management. In turn, we categorized each component into input, process and outcome aspects. After discussions in expert panel, several criteria were selected for evaluation of program. The criteria were modified according to each group of interviewees. Results: We developed five sets of questionnaire that evaluate the quality of 'Group occupational health program'. Conclusion : The refining of the measurement tool and the continuing evaluation process for the 'Group occupational health institute' should be done further.

장·노년층의 디지털 정보격차 영향요인: 베이비붐 세대와 노인세대의 비교를 중심으로 (A Study on Digital Divide Influence Factors of the Elderly: Comparison between Baby Boomer and Elderly)

  • 본 연구는 장·노년층의 디지털 정보격차 영향요인을 베이비붐 세대와 노인세대를 중심으로 검증하고자 하였다. 특히, 장·노년층의 디지털 정보격차에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인으로 성별, 학력, 가구형태, 월소득, 이용동기, 이용태도, 이용성과, 정보지능사회에 대한 인식, 정보지능사회에 대한 불안감, 일상생활만족도, 사회적지지 등을 설정하였다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 2018년 한국정보화진흥원에서 실시한 2017 디지털 정보격차 실태조사 자료를 바탕으로 55세 이상 장·노년층 2300명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 베이비붐 세대는 성별, 학력, 이용동기, 이용 태도, 지능정보사회 인식, 삶의 만족도에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며, 노인세대는 가구형태, 지능정보사회 인식, 삶의 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이러한 결과에 기초하여 장·노년층의 디지털 정보격차 해소를 위한 관련 연구를 제고시키고, 함의 및 관련 후속연구의 필요성을 제시하였다.

무기체계 효과도 분석을 위한 개체 플러그인 방식의 모의 재구성 연구 (Simulation Reconfiguration using Entity Plug-in approach for Weapon System Effectiveness Analysis)

  • 무기체계 효과도 분석은 시뮬레이션 기반 획득 단계에서 합리적 의사결정을 지원하기 위한 수단 중 하나이다. 무기체계의 효과도는 환경과 교리 등 복합적인 요소에 영향을 받는 지표이며 주요 관심 이슈에 따라 다르게 정의될 수 있다. 이로 인해 무기체계 효과도 분석은 공통적인 조건과 환경 상에서 다양한 대안에 관한 비교 실험을 요구한다. 이에 본 연구는 리플렉션 기법을 활용하여 모의 구조를 효율적으로 재구성할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 DEVS(Discrete EVent System specification) 형식론을 기반으로 하며 모의 개체의 동적 플러그인을 통한 구조 및 환경 재구성을 포함하며 이를 통해 다양한 대안 요구를 다룰 수 있는 효과도 분석 환경을 구상하고자 한다.

Domestic Violence in the Canadian Workplace: Are Coworkers Aware?

  • Background: Domestic violence (DV) is associated with serious consequences for victims, children, and families, and even national economies. An emerging literature demonstrates that DV also has a negative impact on workers and workplaces. Less is known about the extent to which people are aware of coworkers' experiences of DV. Methods: Using data from a pan-Canadian sample of 8,429 men and women, we examine: (1) awareness of coworker DV victimization and perpetration; (2) the warning signs of DV victimization and perpetration recognized by workers; (3) whether DV victims are more likely than nonvictims to recognize DV and its warning signs in the workplace; and (4) the impacts of DV that workers perceive on victims'/perpetrators' ability to work. Results: Nearly 40% of participants believed they had recognized a DV victim and/or perpetrator in the workplace and many reported recognizing more than one warning sign. DV victims were significantly more likely to report recognizing victims and perpetrators in the workplace, and recognized more DV warning signs. Among participants who believed they knew a coworker who had experienced DV, 49.5% thought the DV had affected their coworker's ability to work. For those who knew a coworker perpetrating DV, 37.9% thought their coworker's ability to work was affected by the abusive behavior. Conclusion: Our findings have implications for a coordinated workplace response to DV. Further research is urgently needed to examine how best to address DV in the workplace and improve outcomes for victims, perpetrators, and their coworkers.

Diabetes Management and Hypoglycemia in Safety Sensitive Jobs

  • The majority of people diagnosed with diabetes mellitus are in the working age group in developing countries. The interrelationship of diabetes and work, that is, diabetes affecting work and work affecting diabetes, becomes an important issue for these people. Therapeutic options for the diabetic worker have been developed, and currently include various insulins, insulin sensitizers and secretagogues, incretin mimetics and enhancers, and alpha glucosidase inhibitors. Hypoglycemia and hypoglycaemic unawareness are important and unwanted treatment side effects. The risk they pose with respect to cognitive impairment can have safety implications. The understanding of the therapeutic options in the management of diabetic workers, blood glucose awareness training, and self-monitoring blood glucose will help to mitigate this risk. Employment decisions must also take into account the extent to which the jobs performed by the worker are safety sensitive. A risk assessment matrix, based on the extent to which a job is considered safety sensitive and based on the severity of the hypoglycaemia, may assist in determining one's fitness to work. Support at the workplace, such as a provision of healthy food options and arrangements for affected workers will be helpful for such workers. Arrangements include permission to carry and consume emergency sugar, flexible meal times, selfmonitoring blood glucose when required, storage/disposal facilities for medicine such as insulin and needles, time off for medical appointments, and structured self-help programs.

Stiffness Analysis of a Low-DOF Parallel Manipulator including the Elastic Deformations of Both Joints and Links (ICCAS 2005)

  • This paper presents a stiffness analysis method for a low-DOF parallel manipulator, which takes into account of elastic deformations of joints and links. A low-DOF parallel manipulator is defined as a spatial parallel manipulator which has less than six degrees of freedom. Differently from the case of a 6-DOF parallel manipulator, the serial chains in a low-DOF parallel manipulator are subject to constraint forces as well as actuation forces. The reaction forces due to actuations and constraints in each limb can be determined by making use of the theory of reciprocal screws. It is shown that the stiffness model of an F-DOF parallel manipulator consists of F springs related to the reciprocal screws of actuations and 6-F springs related to the reciprocal screws of constraints, which connect the moving platform to the fixed base in parallel. The $6{times}6$ stiffness matrix is derived, which is the sum of the stiffness matrices of actuations and constraints. The six spring constants can be precisely determined by modeling the compliance of joints and links in a serial chain as follows; the link can be considered as an Euler beam and the stiffness matrix of rotational or prismatic joint can be modeled as a $6{times}6$ diagonal matrix, where one diagonal element about the rotation axis or along the sliding direction is zero. By summing the elastic deformations in joints and links, the compliance matrix of a serial chain is obtained. Finally, applying the reciprocal screws to the compliance matrix of a serial chain, the compliance values of springs can be determined. As an example of explaining the procedure, the stiffness of the Tricept parallel manipulator has been analyzed.
