초전도 선재의 전 열처리에 따른 기계적 및 초전도 특성에 미치는 효과 (Effect of pre-annealing conditions on mechanical and superconducting properties of Bi-2223/Ag tapes)

  • Many of research efforts have been focused on the improvement of critical current density (Jc) of silver-sheathed Bi-2223 tapes far practical applications. In this study, the transformation of Bi-2212 phase was investigated, which was transformed to orthorhombic from tetragonal through pre-annealing during powder packing and drawing process. The relationship between hardness of Bi-2212 orthorhombic phase and workability of Bi-2223/Ag tape was investigated. Bi-2223 superconducting wires with 55 filaments were fabricated by stacking and drawing process with different heat-treatment histories. Before rolling process, round wires were pre-annealing at 76$0^{\circ}C$ and in a low oxygen partial pressure. We confirmed that pre-annealing step was to transform to Bi-2212 orthorhombic structure from Bi-2212 tetragonal structure and to reduce the formation of second phases. However the breakages were created at Ag-alloy clad during rolling for pre-annealed Bi-22231Ag tapes. Several pre-annealing scenarios were introduced to reduce the breakages during rolling process. Microstructure and critical current density of pre-annealed Bi-2223 superconducting tapes were investigated. We could achieve proper pre-annealing conditions for Ag-alloy clad Bi-2223 superconducting tapes.

  • Superconducting tape is being developed for electrical equipment such as superconducting transformers and generators. AC loss reduction is primary concern in the development of such high-efficiency equipment. AC losses in Bi-2223 silver-sheathed tapes, both single and multi-filamentary, were investigated by means of AC magnetization techniques. The results were compared with the hysteresis loss equation based on Bean model and the eddy current loss equation. The AC loss, of the mono-filamentary tape was the hysteresis. On the contrary, the AC loss of the multi-filamentary tape was substantially dominated by the eddy current loss in the Ag matrix.

  • In order to investigate control factors to critical current density, Ag sheathed Bi2223 superconducting tapes were fabricated using PIT process. Optimizing the reduction ratio of rolling, critical current density 7f rolled Bi2223 tape could be improved with the value of 15,000 A/$\textrm{cm}^2$(77 K, zero field). The correlation between J$\_$c/ and work inhomogeneity was revealed as a dependence of COV of measured oxide layer thickness.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the crystal texture of the 2223 phase and its relationship with PIT processing parameter. Ag-sheathed Bi-2223 multi-filament tapes were prepared by changing rolling reduction ratio. We analysed the degree of texture for 2223 phase after heat-treatment. According to X-ray pole-figure, the texture of the filaments located near surface and center were not so different each other for all rolling conditions. we found a little higher degree of texture for 60% rolling reduction. But its difference is not so high compared with those tapes with a lower rolling reduction ratio. Reaction induced texturing seemed to contribute with a large portion under present condition.

  • 은이 피복된 Bi(2223) 단심 초전도 선재에 절연층으로 $SrZrO_3$ 피막을 졸-겔과 딥-코팅법으로 제조하여 $SrZrO_3$ 코팅층과 초전도 선재간 접착력 특성을 조사하였다. 실험인자로는 출발원료의 몰비, 유기화합물 첨가량, 건조온도 및 시간, 열처리 온도 및 시간이었으며 다구찌법의 망대특성과 $L_18(2^1{\times}3^7)$ 직교배열표를 이용하여 코팅층의 최적조건인 인자와 수준 조합의 최적화를 접착강도를 측정하여 분석하였다. 최적의 접착 특성을 가진 코팅조건은 Sr/Zr의 몰비가 0.3/0.7, 유기화합물 첨가량이 5wt%, 건조온도 및 시간은 160${\circ}C$ 10분, 열처리 온도 및 시간은 500${\circ}C$ 20분이었다. 분산분석 결과, 유의수준이 ${\alpha}$=0.1인 통계적으로 90% 신뢰공정이었다.

Influence of External Reinforcement on Strain Characteristics of Critical Current in BSCCO Superconducting Tapes

  • For the purpose of standardization of the critical current measurement, it is meaningful to describe how $I_{c}$ will behave as the stress/strain level changes. In this study, strain dependencies of the critical current $I_{c}$ in Ag-alloy sheathed multifilamentary Bi(2212) and Bi(2223) superconducting tapes were evaluated at 77K, 0T. The external reinforcement was accomplished by soldering AgMgNi alloy tapes onto single or both sides of the sample. With the external reinforcement to the Bi(2212) tape, the strength of the tapes increased but the critical current at the strain free state, $I_{c0}$ decreased in some cases. The strain for onset of the $I_{c}$ degradation, $\varepsilon$$_{\irr}$, increased with an increase of the reinforcing volume and then saturated to a certain value. The effect of external reinforcement on the degradation of $I_{c}$ due to the bending strain in the Bi(2223) tape was also examined. Contrary to the expectation, it showed a significant $I_{c}$ degradation even at a small strain of 0.4 %. The observations of damage morphologies gave a good explanation to the $I_{c}$ behavior.c/ behavior.r.

Bi-2223계 Prototype 고온 초존도 케이블의 전류 통전 특성 (The Characteristics on Transport Current of Bi-2223 Based Prototype HTS Cable)

  • Superconducting power cable is one of the most promising energy application of high-T$\sub$2/ superconductor(HTS). Thus we investigated previously the electrical and mechanical characteristics on Bi-2223 Ag sheathed tape. And a prototype HTS cable have been designed constructed and tested. In case of 19-filament type transport losses agree with the results of norris theory(strip). The critical current of HTS cable(1, 19-filament) in LN$_2$was 116[A], 240[A] and degradation coefficient(k) was 0.71, 0.73 respectively. In case of 19-filament cable critical current was decreased because of mechanical strain at pitch. And AC loss of HTS cable(19-filament) was 0.7 [W/m] in 240[A] loading

  • Superconducting power cable is one of the most promising energy application of high-Tc superconductors (HTS). Thus, we investigated previously the characteristics on electrical and mechanical Bi-2223 Ag sheathed tape. And a prototype HTS cable have been designed, constructed and tested. The result shows that the transport current of HTS cable (1, 19-filament) in LN2 was 116[A], 240[A], respectively. And AC loss of HTS cable(19-filament) was 1.7 [W/m] in 240 [A] loading.
