The purpose of the study is to suggest a standardized teaching-learning model as a method for strengthening the practical effect of the information ethic education for the adolescent, which is practiced in schools as the inter-disciplinary way. A survey was put to teachers and their needs are analyzed. At the same time, in order to draw the practical teaching-learning model, the teaching examples were collected for contesting. Through this process, a bottom-up approach which tries to analyze the actual class examples and generalizes them, the teaching-learning model has been suggested. As a result, another survey was conducted for the investigation of the efficacy of the model between beneficiary group and comparison group. The results are as followings; the experiment group showed a higher index in regard with such items as Information Culture Index, Lesson Satisfaction Degree, and Practice Will than Comparison Group, and the differences are statistically significant. According to the results of the analysis.
This study analyzed the differences in adjustment and family environments of adolescents from three different family structures, using the KCYPS panel 4th wave data from first graders in middle schools. The participants of the study consisted of 1,715 adolescents in two-parent families, 79 adolescents in single-father families, and 113 adolescents in single-mother families. The data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics and ANCOVAs. The findings of this study indicated that adolescents in two-parent families showed a lower level of physical symptoms than those in single-mother families and a lower level of participation in classwork than those in single-father families whereas adolescents in single-father families were more likely to be involved in delinquency than those from the other two family structures. In addition, significant differences were found in family environments including parents' physical health and life satisfaction, family economic status, parenting behaviors, and parents' absence at home after school. Parents in single-mother and single-father families were less healthy physically, showed lower levels of life satisfaction, reported less income, and spent less money for their children, compared to those in two-parent families. With regard to parenting behaviors, single fathers tended to be less warm toward and neglected their children more than single mothers and parents in two-parent families. Adolescents in single-father families were most likely to be left alone at home after school, followed by those in single-mother and two-parent families. The results suggested that specific attention needs to be paid to adolescents from single-father families in order to support their adjustment.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of smoking prevention programs offered to primary and secondary school students in Seoul, and to analyze factors related to smoking for these students. A quasi-experimental study design was employed and a total of 8,717 students for pre-test and 7,925 students for post-test were participated in the study. The smoking prevention programs included poster and slogan contests. smoking cessation workshop. distribution of smoking prevention pamphlets, reinforcement of smoking regulations, and operation of mobile smoking cessation booth. The results indicated that smoking prevalence decreased after the intervention. However. despite the reinforcement of the regulation related to sales of tobacco to adolescents. more than $50\%$ of the participants still purchased tobacco from stores, while $20.8\%$ obtained tobacco through their friends. Stress, juvenile delinquency, and pocket money were identified as significant factors associated with tobacco use for these students. In conclusion, smoking prevention programs with multiple intervention strategies were effective in decreasing the smoking prevalence among adolescents. Further study is recommended to conduct an experimental study using comparison group to control the effect of other social influences such as national smoking cessation campaigns.
In the present study, we studied the change patterns of adolescents' overt aggression during the middle school 2nd to the high school 1st grades and the effects of ecological factors on the change. For the research goals, we applied multi-level models to the Korean Youth Panel data. Results showed that adolescents' overt aggression decreased significantly during the period. Gender(males recoded as 1) and self-control had negative effects on the initial status(middle school 2nd grade) while the number of delinquency peers had a positive effect. On the other hand, gender and self-control showed positive effects on the change rate. The major strengths of the research are the study of various ecological factors and the longitudinal design. Few studies of adolescents' aggression have incorporated these methodological and substantive characteristics.
This article examines the cost of pressure to achieve in Korea, which is the theme of the special issue focusing on the psychological dynamics and factors influencing delinquent behavior among Korea adolescents. This article reviews empirical studies of delinquent behavior among Korean adolescent and articulate policy and programs necessary to prevent the rising trend. First, in order to prevent delinquent behavior and enhance their self-efficacy, programs need to be developed to allow them to succeed in non-academic areas. Second, adolescents who engage in delinquent behavior are likely to experience problems in interpersonal, such as parental rejection, social exclusion from friends and hostility from teachers. Third, adolescents delinquent behaviors are influenced by negative parental socialization practices, delinquent behavior of their peers, moral disengagement and their previous participation in delinquent behavior. Fourth, the importance of indigenous psychological approach to increase the quality of life for adolescents who engage in delinquent behavior is outlined.
The aim of this study was to examine growth trajectories of delinquent behaviors during adolescence. In addition, the effects of protective and risk factors that might account for individual difference in the level of delinquent behaviors and in the rate of change were examined. Four waves of data in the Korea Youth Panel Survey(KYPS) were used to analyze the linear growth modeling. The sample consisted of 3346 adolescents who were assessed at 4 measurement waves with approximately 1-year intervals. The results showed significant individual differences in both final level of delinquent behaviors and in the rate of change across 3 measurement occasions. Adolescent gender, family's socioeconomic background predicted the final level and the rate of change of delinquent behaviors. The protective effects of positive parenting and self-control were significantly associated with problem behaviors and the risk effects of the association with deviant peers and negative stigma were significant on the final level of delinquency. Self-control and deviant peer affiliation had differential influences over time significantly. Practice and policy implications as well as further research topic were discussed in the light of searching for important factors in preventing adolescent problem behaviors.

It was also analyzed that the older generations are highly inclined to understand adolescents'culture as a negative one, for example, 'delinquency'or 'immaturity'. 2) Although the area of 'Adolescents'Education'was treated most frequently reflecting the high educational concern in our society, the significant part of those articles were on wrongful educational administration. As much as 70.6% of the articles analyzed were on 'Education'and 'Problems'. Thereby it may be concluded that the other areas such as health, activities, worries, values and harmful environments ere treated respectively as only a 'subculture'or'fragmentary culture'. The articles containing correlations and interactions among them and certain alternative proposals were very rare. 3) The areas such as 'Worries and Counselling'and 'Health'were occupying only a small portion of the articles. The articles which were treating the practical worries and their resolutions were even rarer. 4) 'Values'of the adolescents tended to be viewed by the older generations very negatively. It was also found that the older generations gave the tendency to see the 'consumption culture'of the adolescents as a kind of 'counter culture'or'subculture'.

This study examined how much Korean male middle school students used YouTube to determine if the social support from parents, teachers, and friends might moderate the relationships between YouTube overuse and internalizing and externalizing problems. Three hundred and twenty male middle school students completed questionnaires asking about their YouTube use, levels of YouTube addiction, internalizing and externalizing behaviors, and the degree of social support from parents, teachers, and friends. The results indicated that the YouTube addiction was positively related to the levels of internalizing and externalizing problems. Parental support moderated the relationships between YouTube addiction and internalizing problems. On the other hand, the moderating effects of teachers' or friends' supports were not significant. In contrast, teachers' support was the most crucial moderating factor regarding externalizing problems, while parental and friends' supports were only related to delinquency but not to aggression. These results suggest that the role of parental or teacher supports should be unique depending on the types of problem behaviors. Furthermore, the 'protective effects' of social support were not found in the highly addicted group, suggesting that the early prevention of YouTube overuse is a crucial intervention.
