항공기 지연 개선을 위한 적정 수준의 Turnaround Time 도출 연구 (Study on Determining Appropriate Turnaround Time to Improve Aircraft Delay)

  • The aircraft delay rate has increased nearly three times in 2023 due to change in Korea policy of delay criteria. One of the primary causes of delays in domestic flights is related to reactionary delays, with Turnaround Time being a key factor. To mitigate reactionary delays and reduce aircraft delays, it is essential to establish an appropriate Turnaround Time and integrate it into flight schedules. This study aims to analyze the appropriate Turnaround Time for aircraft operating at Gimpo, Gimhae, and Jeju International Airports, which handle a high frequency of domestic flights. The research applies air traffic simulation, using variables such as current flight schedules, actual flight times, Turnaround Time, and flight routes to simulate actual conditions. Based on this analysis, the study seeks to identify the fitting Turnaround Time across various scenarios. The findings are expected to address reactionary delays and help reduce overall delay rates in domestic flights.

  • USB has arguably become the most successful PC peripheral interconnect ever defined. As appearing UWB, wireless USB (WUSB) emerges very popular technology. However, the distributed Medium Access Control (MAC) does not harmonize with the topology of WUSB. In this paper, we address a novel MAC protocol for conformity with WUSB. The protocol is to handle negotiation on Distributed Reservation Protocol (DRP) including the channel time slot of WUSB.

  • This paper describes the development of 5.15ns 32kb asynchronous CMOS SRAM using 0.6.mu.m CMOS technology. The proposed high speed embedded SRAM is realized with optimized control circuit and sense amplifier at a power supply of 3V. Using proposed control circuit, the delay time from address input to wordline 'on' is reduced by 33% and mismatch-insensitive sense amplifier can sense a small difference of bit-line voltage fast and stably.

  • Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) has been very popular in unattended surveillance systems recently. For Applying WSN into Building Automation system(BAS), a novel hierarchial network structure and static routing algorithm which eliminates the scalability limitation of Zigbee are proposed in this paper. The static routing algorithm relying on the hierarchial network address reduces the computational complexity to a great extent and has a real-time performance which satisfies urgent applications well.

  • In this paper, we propose a memory compiler to genrate embedded RAMs and ROMs for ASIC chips. We design the leaf cells to be compsoed of memory blocks. The compiler is built using tile-based method to simplify routing. The compiler can genrate any memory layouts to satisfy 64 to 4096 words and 4 to 256 bits per word. The technology we used here is 0.8.mu.m single poly double metal CMOS process. The address access time and power consumption are verifie dthrough the HSPICE simulation.

  • We first review a real-time holographic recording technique called optical scanning holography (OSH) and discuss holographic reconstruction using spatial light modulators (SLMs). We then present how the overall system can be used for three-dimensional (3-D) holographic television (TV) system and address some of the issues encountered. Finally, we suggest some techniques to alleviate the issues encountered in such a 3-D holographic TV.

  • Recently, mobility support of connectionless mobile ATM data service has been mainly studied in wireless ATM communication network. this paper shows the network model for the mobility support of connectionless data service in ATM network, and proposes the methods to minimize COIP (care of IP address) acquisition processing time for MH(mobile host)migration. Th echaracteristics of proposed methods, COIP acquisition probability and IP data communication sequence of proposed model, are discussed in this paper.

  • We first review a real-time three-dimensional (3-D) holographic recording technique called optical scanning holography (OSH) and discuss holographic reconstruction using spatial light modulators (SLMs). We then present how the overall system can be used for 3-D holographic television (TV) display with a wide-angle view of a 3-D image, and address some of the issues encountered. Finally, we suggest some techniques to alleviate the issues encountered in such a 3-D holographic TV system.

  • In this paper, an overview on the ordering sphere decoder (SD) class for space-time codes (STC) will be presented. In SDs, the ordering techniques are considered as promising methods for reducing complexity by exploiting a sorted list of candidates, thus decreasing the number of tested points. First, we will present the current state of art of SD with their advantages and disadvantages. Then, the overview of simply geometrical approaches for ordering is presented to address the question to overcome the disadvantages. The computer simulation results shown that, thanks to the aid of ordering, the ordering SDs can achieve optimal bit-error-rate (BER) performance while requiring the very low complexity, which is comparable to that of linear sub-optimal decoders.

  • In this paper we address the problem of detecting and estimating an unknown narrow band signal in a noise interference environment A new practical band estimation method, yielding good performance even in case of finite-length data, is presented. More specifically, wavelet packet transform is utilized to detect the more accurate time-variant band, then we estimate the power from wavelet filter-coefficients of the respective band. Also, third-order cumulants, and projection cross-correlation (PCC) criterion are utilized to achieve an effective SNR improvement for the time-variant band estimation. In case of time variant band estimation, the PCC method yields better performance than the correlation method.
