Purpose: To report the mid-term results of the inferior capsular shift procedure for the multidirectional instability, and to analyze whether the bilateral laxity, the generalized ligamentous laxity and the voluntary instability can influence upon the final outcome. Material and Method: We reviewed 95 patients with 96 shoulders treated by the inferior capsular shift procedure for multidirectional instability through an anterior approach. In total, 49 shoulders(51%) showed generalized ligamentous laxity, 56 shoulders(58%) bilateral laxity, and 65 shoulders(68%) voluntary subluxation. Mean follow-up was 27 months(11-60 months). Result: The final Rowe score was 75 points in patients who had had at least one of the bilateral laxity, generalized ligamentous laxity, or the voluntary subluxation and 84 points without any of these in each element. Seventy-five percent of the bilateral laxity and 87% of the unilateral instability continued to function well without any pain and instability postoperatively. Those with a voluntary(74%), those with an involuntary instability(83%), those with a generalized ligamentous laxity(73%) and without laxity(84%) could do well a daily living activity without instability Eighty-six percent who had had the voluntary instability was eliminated completely the voluntability. Eighty-four percent of the patients stated that they were subjectively satisfied with the status of their shoulder. Nine shoulders(9.4%) had recurrence of symptomatic and disabling instability and theses patients had had at least voluntary instability preoperatively. Seven patients(7.3%) suffered from the stiff shoulder after the inferior capsular shift procedure. Conclusion: The inferior capsular shift procedure in multidirectional instability provided satisfactory results both in objective and subjective terms. Nonetheless, a patient who has a bilateral laxity, a generalized ligamentous laxity or a voluntary instability could be expected less favorable results compared to those with neither of these. A careful selection of the inferior capsular shift procedure for the multidirectional instability is needed before surgery. But our results suggests that a voluntary instability is not always poor candidate for the inferior capsular shift procedure.

This study is a research study to identify the recognition, experiences, needs of convergence education in occupational therapy students. Therefore, it is intended to provide basic data when developing convergence subjects and non-regular programs within the occupational therapy (department) curriculum. From December 03, 2020, a web questionnaire consisting of 14 questions in 4 areas was distributed over a month, and the data of 130 people were finally analyzed. The results are as follows. First, the recognition and experiences of occupational therapy students in convergence education were low. Second, 57.7% of students recognized that occupational therapy majors need convergence education, and the expected effect of convergence education was 'improvement of occupational therapy job-related knowledge'. Third, it was recognized that 'natural science', 'prosthesis and assistive technology, activity of daily living(ADL)', and 'ADL training' convergence education was necessary for the students of occupational therapy department. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data in the future development of occupational therapy curriculum and non-regular programs for convergence education. In the future, I think that the demand for convergence education and program development in preparation for the 4th industrial revolution will increase in the occupational therapy curriculum. It is expected that the data of this study will be used meaningfully by professors in charge of occupational therapy education at universities.
The purposes of this research are to examine the effects of muscle relaxation to the rheumatoid arthritis patients' physiological, psychological, and social adaptation, and to verify that the technique Is an effective tool for improving the patients' adaptation. This research utilized a qusi-experimental design that compares the pre-experiment measures and the post-experiment measures. The subjects of this study were 37 out-patients who were diagnosed for rheumatoid arthritis in P university hospital and K clinic between September 12, 1993 and November 30, 1993. The experimental group consisted of patients treated on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The control group consisted of patients treated on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday The pre-experimental survey utilized the following tools. The physiological adaptation was measured by a graphic rating scale for pain and activity of daily living. The psychological adaptation was measured by Zung's depression scale and Rosenberg's self-esteem scale : and the social adaptation was measured by Derogatis' psychosocial adjustment scale. The experimental group received muscle relaxation treatment for 15 minutes per day for the period of 2 weeks, the control group received no treatment and had quiet time. The post-experiment measurement was carried out similar to the pre-experiment survey, SPSS $PC^+$ is used to analyze the collected data. The reliabilities of the measurement tools were examined by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ coefficients. The homogeneities between the experimental and control groups were tested by t-test and chi-square test, hypotheses were tested by t-test. This research found that the general characteristics between the groups were statistically homogenious. The physiological, psychological, and social adaptation between the groups in the pre-experimental survey were also statistically homogenious. The results of this research can be summarized as follows : 1. Concerning the Physiological adaptation, the experimental group showed a statistically lower pain score than the control group. Thus, muscle relaxation was effective to relieve the pain of rheumatoid arthritis patients (t=-2.95, p=.006). 2. Concerning the psychological adaptation, the experimental group showed a statistically lower depression score than the control group. Thus, muscle relaxation was effective to reduce the patient's depression(t=-4.00, p=.001). 3. Concerning social adaptation, the experimental group showed a statistically higher score for the health maintenance and disease control than the control groups. Thus, muscle relaxation was effective for the health maintenance and disease control (t=2.09, p=.004). This research showed that the muscle relaxation is a nursing intervention that can promote the physiological, psychological and social adaptation of the rheumatoid arthritis patients in terms of short-term and cognitive changes. However, more fundomental changes in behavior and long-term physiology could not be found through such a short-term relaxation treatment.

Purpose: Ligament reattachment technique using a suture anchor appears to show satisfactory functional outcomes and mechanical stability compared with conventional bone tunnel technique. This study was prospectively conducted in order to evaluate functional outcomes of modified Brostrom procedures using the suture bridge technique for chronic ankle instability in athletes. Materials and Methods: Twenty eight athletes under 30 years of age were followed for more than two years after undergoing the modified Brostrom procedure using the suture bridge technique. Functional evaluation consisted of the foot and ankle outcome score (FAOS), foot and ankle ability measure (FAAM) score. Range of motion and time to return to exercise were evaluated using a periodic questionnaire. Talar tilt angle and anterior talar translation were measured through stress radiographs for evaluation of mechanical stability. Results: FAOS improved significantly from preoperative mean 59.4 points to 91.4 points (p<0.001). Daily living and sport activity scores of FAAM improved significantly from preoperative mean 50.5, 32.5 points to 94.8, 87.3 points, respectively (p<0.001). Talar tilt angle and anterior talar translation improved significantly from preoperative mean $16.8^{\circ}$, 13.5 mm to $4.2^{\circ}$, 4.1 mm at final follow-up (p<0.001). Times to return to exercise were as follows: mean 10.2 weeks in jogging, 15.4 weeks in spurt running, 13.1 weeks in jumping, 11.5 weeks in walking on uneven ground, 9.1 weeks in standing on one leg, 7.2 weeks in tip-toeing gait, 8.4 weeks in squatting, and 10.6 weeks in descending stairs. Conclusion: Modified Brostrom procedure using the suture bridge technique showed satisfactory functional outcomes for chronic ankle instability in athletes. Optimal indication and cost-effectiveness of the suture bridge technique will be studied in the future.

The purpose of this study was to determine factors affecting self-rated health status among the elderly in urban areas. The study subjects were 390 persons aged 65 years and older who had lived more than 5 years in D city. Interviews from the questionnaire were conducted from June through August 2016. The distribution of self-rated health status was rated in terms of dependent variables, with odds ratios and their 95% confidence intervals calculated using unconditional logistic models. As a result, 67.2% of the study subjects answered that they were healthy, whereas 32.8% were unhealthy. In the logistic regression analysis, disability and lowered IADL greatly lowered self-rated health status. The group without an occupation, living expenses from governmental subsidies, frequency of relative contents is seldom, anxiety is high, subjective sleep quality is low, satisfaction of daily life is low, had low levels of self-rated health status. Above results suggest that the self-rated health status of the elderly in urban areas is closely related to sociodemographic characteristics, physical health status, social activity participation, and psychosocial factors.
This paper uses the diary entitled Kieo, which was kept by Ryu Hyeong-eop for 38 years, to analyze the active space of small-scale Yangban landlords. Ryu lived during the period spanning from the end of the Taehan Empire through the colonial era. The researcher classified the contents of Kieo into different sections which were divided according to different stages of the writer's life, his objectives, destinations, and periods, and based on the writer's life-cycle, strived to recreate his spatial activities. As a result, researcher was able to ascertain that Ryu's spatial activities gradually increased, and that his active space also continuously expanded. Ryu's active space during his youth was narrow and centered around certain specific places. However, this active space gradually increased as time went by. It was during the middle stages of his life that the volume of his spatial activities was the heaviest. In addition, the objectives of his outings also became more diversified over time. This change was originated in the larger changes in his roles within the family and community, as well as by the changes in the periodic situation. Moreover, the regional sphere of Ryu's outings, including his day and over nights trips, allowed the researcher to form a better understanding of the daily living area of the Yangban.
