덖음온도를 달리하여 전저리한 삼백초 건조물의 이화학적 특성 및 물과 70% 에탄올 추출물의 항산화효과 (Physicochemical properties of dried Saururus chinensis and the antioxidative activities of water and 70% ethanol extracts)

  • 본 연구에서는 전처리 방법을 달리한 삼백초의 수분함량, 조단백질, 조지방, 조회분 및 탄수화물을 분석하고 각각에 증류수와 70% 에탄올로 추출하여 추출물을 제조하여 Total phenolic acid contents, Total flavonoid contents, SOD-liked activity, Electron donating activity, ABTs radical activity, Reducing power activity를 평가하였다. 수분과 조단백질 함량은 저온에서 덖은 시료에서 유의하게 높았고 조회분과 조지방 그리고 탄수화물 함량은 고온에서 덖을 시 높았다. 총 페놀 함량은 저온으로 덖고 물로 추출한 시료에서 높았으나 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 그러나 고온덖음 70% 에탄올로 추출한 추출물이 유의적으로 높았다. 삼백초를 저온과 고온으로 덖은 시료를 물과 70% 에탄올로 추출 시 70% 에탄올로 추출한 시료에서 유의적으로 높았다. 총 플라보노이드 함량은 고온으로 덖고 물과 70% 에탄올로 추출한 시료가 높았으나 유의적인 차이는 없었고 물보다 70% 에탄올로 추출할 때 저온과 고온으로 덖은 시료에서 모두 유의적으로 높았다. 삼백초 건조물을 물과 70% 에탄올로 추출한 추출물의 DPPH radical 소거능은 고온에서 덖은 시료가 저온으로 덖은 시료보다 높게 나타났다. ABTs radical 소거능은 고온으로 덖은 시료의 물 추출물에서 유의적으로 높았다. 그러나 70% 에탄올로 추출 시 유의적인 차이는 없었고 용매에 따른 영향은 저온에서 덖고 70% 에탄올로 추출 시 유의적으로 높았고 고온으로 덖은 시료는 물 추출물에서 높아 상반된 결과를 나타내었다. SOD-liked activity는 저온에서 덖고 물로 추출한 추출물에서 유의적으로 높았으나 추출 용매나 덖음온도에 따른 영향이 나타나지 않았다. 환원력은 저온덖음 물 추출물이 유의적으로 높았고 고온으로 덖을 때에는 70% 에탄올 추출물이 높아 상반된 결과로 나타났다. 본 실험의 결과, 총 페놀 함량, 총 플라보노이드 함량, DPPH radical 소거능, Reducing power activity (환원력)에서 고온덖음 삼백초 시료를 70%에탄올 추출 시 높게 평가되어 항산화효과가 높은 소재 추출방법으로 사용가능성이 시사되었다.

추출용매에 따른 쇠미역과 다시마의 항산화, 항노화 활성과 페놀화합물 비교분석 (Comparative Analysis of Antioxidant, Anti Aging and Phenolic Compounds of Different Solvent Extracts from Saccharina japonica and Costaria costata)

  • 본 연구에서는 추출용매에 완도산 다시마와 쇠미역의 항산화, 항노화 활성을 살펴보고 페놀화합물 함량을 비교 분석하였다. 먼저 다시마와 쇠미역 추출물의 폴리페놀, 플라보노이드 함량은 각각 다시마 메탄올추출물(4.64 mgTAN/g), 쇠미역 메탄올추출물(4.19 mgQUE/g)이 다른 추출물에 비해 높은 함량을 보였다. 또한 다시마와 쇠미역의 DPPH 라디칼 소거능은 모두 열수 추출물에서 가장 낮은 활성을 보였으며 쇠미역 주정추출물에서 높은 DPPH 라디칼 소거능(IC50 = 42.5 ㎍/µL)을 나타냈다. ABTS 라디칼 소거능과 FRAP 활성 측정 결과 다시마와 쇠미역 모두 열수보다 주정과 메탄올 추출물에서 높은 활성을 보였으며, 특히 쇠미역이 다시마보다 높은 ABTS 라디칼 소거능과 FRAP 활성을 나타냈다. 또한 다시마와 쇠미역 추출물의 SOD, CAT, APX 활성은 열수, 주정 추출물보다 메탄올 추출물에서, 그리고 쇠미역보다 다시마에서 높은 SOD, CAT, APX 활성이 확인되어 다시마 메탄올 추출물에서 뛰어난 항산화 효소 활성을 보였다. 그 다음으로 Collagenase, elastase 저해 활성은 쇠미역 메탄올 추출물과 다시마 주정추출물에서 각각 88.3, 19.0%의 우수한 collagenase 및 elastase 저해활성을 보였다. 미백 효과를 평가하기 위해 tyrosinase 저해 활성을 측정한 결과에서는 다시마와 쇠미역 모두 메탄올 추출물에서 각각 41.8, 30.3%로 나타나 다른 추출용매에 비해 높은 tyrosinase 저해활성이 측정되었으며, 주로 쇠미역보다 다시마에서 우수한 tyrosinase저해활성이 관찰되었다. 마지막으로 추출용매에 따른 다시마와 쇠미역 추출물의 페놀화합물 함량(4-hydroxybenzoic acid, naringenin, naringin, nicotinic acid) 분석 결과 4-hydroxybenzoic acid 함량은 다시마 메탄올 추출물(8.25 ㎍/g), naringenin과 naringin 함량은 각각 쇠미역 주정추출물(0.58 ㎍/g), 다시마 주정추출물(661.66 ㎍/g), 마지막으로 nicotinic acid 함량은 쇠미역 주정 추출물에서 18.06 ㎍/g으로 가장 높은 함량이 측정되었다. 본 실험 결과 다시마와 쇠미역은 메탄올과 주정 추출물에서 열수 추출물에 비해 높은 폴리페놀 함량, 항산화 및 항노화 활성과 naringenin, naringin, nicotinic acid 함량이 나타났으며, 다시마와 쇠미역에 포함된 다양한 폴리페놀과 플라보노이드 물질이 다시마와 쇠미역의 항산화활성에 관여한 것으로 확인되어 다시마와 쇠미역 주정 및 메탄올 추출물의 추출조건을 확립할 수 있었고, 이를 이용한 건강 기능성 식품 소재로 활용과 화장품 소재개발에 대한 가능성이 증가 될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

건조 방법에 따른 느타리버섯과 새송이버섯 열수추출물의 항산화 활성 (Antioxidant Activity of Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus eryngii Hot Water Extracts by Drying Methods)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the antioxidant activity and β-glucan content of extracts extracted by varying the temperature at 30, 55 and 80℃ after hot air drying or freeze drying of Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus eryngii. For the analysis antioxidant activity of each mushroom, β-glucan, total phenol, flavonoid contents, and DPPH·ABTS+·Nitrite assay were measured. Also, the β-glucan content, total flavonoid content and ABTS+ scavenging activity increased with freeze drying rather than hot air drying, and increased with increasing extraction temperature in both mushrooms. However, the total phenol and nitrite scavenging activity increased with hot air drying rather than freeze drying, and decreased with increasing temperature in both mushrooms. DPPH scavenging activity was not significant in both mushrooms, but decreased with increasing extraction temperature. Pearson's correlations between total flavonoid content and antioxidant activities were r=0.719~0.753 (p<0.01). As a result, the β-glucan content, total flavonoid content, and ABTS radical cation scavenging activity were highest during freeze drying and extraction at 80℃. And the highest total phenol content, DPPH radical scavenging activity and nitrite scavenging activity were obtained during hot air drying and extraction at 30℃.

농촌노인의 사회활동 및 여가활동이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Social Activity and Leisure Activity on Life Satisfaction of the Rural Elderly)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 농촌 노인의 사회활동, 여가활동, 그리고 삶의 만족도 간의 영향관계를 분석하는데 있었다. 60세 이상의 농촌노인들로부터 324부의 구조화된 설문서를 수집하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인구사회학적 특성 중 건강상태와 경제상태가 농촌노인의 삶의 만족에 영향을 미치고 있었다. 둘째, 농촌 노인의 사회활동에서 경제활동, 종교활동 및 지역사회 참여활동은 전반적 삶의 만족에, 종교 활동과 지역사회 참여활동은 주관적 건강만족에, 경제활동은 주관적 경제만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있었다. 셋째, 농촌 노인의 여가활동에서 취미활동, 학습활동 및 사교활동은 전반적 삶의 만족에, 취미활동과 사교활동, 소일거리가 주관적 건강만족에, 취미활동과 사교활동이 주관적 경제만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있었다.

조릿대의 부위별 추출물의 항산화 활성 (Antioxidant Activities of Extracts from Different Parts of Sasa borealis)

  • Objectives : This study was performed to investigate the antioxidant activity of water and ethanol extracts from Sasa borealis leaves, stems and roots. Methods : Sasa borealis leaves, stems and roots extract were prepared using water and ethanol. The total polyphenol and total flavonoid contents were analyzed. 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) radical scavenging activity, SOD like activity, 2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)(ABTS), hydroxyl radical scavenging activity, and Nitrite scavenging activity assays were carried out to determine the antioxidant activities. Results : The antioxidant activities of the Sasa borealis appeared higher in ethanol extract than water extracts. Total polyphenol and total flavonoids contents in ethanol extracts of leaves were $24.6mg/m{\ell}$ and $14.3mg/m{\ell}$, respectively, which were much higher than those of any other parts. SOD like activity was 70% ethanol extract of the leaves was highest with 15.68%. Electron donating ability was 70% ethanol extract of the leaves had the highest 59.07%. It exhibited high electron donating ability than BHT(45.68%). Nitrite scavenging activity of 70% ethanol extract was higher than the water extract at pH 2.5 and pH 4.2. Nitrite scavenging activity was 70% ethanol extract of the leaves was the highest 75.2%. Hydroxyl radical scavenging activity was 70% ethanol extract of the leaves was highest with 16.16%, showed very low activity than BHT(61.56%). Conclusions : These results suggest that 70% ethanol extracts from Sasa borealis leaves, exhibited higher antioxidant activities than those of root and stem, and can be potentially used as proper natural antioxidants.

증숙 더덕 에탄올 추출물에 대한 항산화·항균 활성 (Antioxidative and Antimicrobial Effects of Ethanol Extract of Codonopsis lanceolata by Steaming Times)

  • This study was investigated the contents of total polyphenol, flavonoids and antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of Codonopsis lanceolata extracts according to different steaming times. The contents of total polyphenol and flavonoid proportionally increased from 6.45 mgGAE/g to 18.26 mgGAE/g and 2.01 mgRE/g to 6.12 mgRE/g according to ethanol extracts at EDS7. DPPH radical scavenging activity was found to have been 15.26~65.2% and showed the highest level of antioxidant activity at EDS7 was 65.2%. The activity of ABTS radical scavenging and SOD-like activity were also the same result. DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activity was related to the number of steaming, and the scavenging activity was increased up to 7 times of steaming. The antimicrobial activity of EDS7 had strong antioxidant activity. Antimicrobial activities were examined against 5 microorganisms related to pathogens and food poisoning. The antimicrobial Activity was different depending on the bacteria, but it was effective at the concentration of 300 mg/mL rather than 150 mg/mL. These results showed that Codonopsis lanceolata extracts with a different number of steaming would be conducted to confirm the possibility of developing antimicrobial and antioxidant. It will be helpful in the study of component analysis of Codonopsis lanceolata extracts processed products.

한국과 싱가포르의 6학년 도형영역 교과서 비교 분석 및 수학수업의 적용사례

  • In this research, I selected a Singapore elementary mathematics textbook which substantially reflects Singapore curriculum, and compared it with Korean one to understand how they differ in the contents system of the curriculum focused on the contents of the geometry and measurement strand, and analyzed their common points and different points intensively with textbooks for sixth-grade students. Also, I translated a chapter of the textbook, 'Mathematics in Action'. That chapter was about circumference and the area of the circle which is related to the shapes part. Then, I taught it to the experimental group to compare their achievement and the change of reaction to studying the shape-related parts with those of the control group. The results are the followings. First, when we analyze the contents of shape-related part of the textbooks for sixth-grade students of both countries, Singaporean textbook contains more contents that are introduced for the first time, which implies that it is more desirable to teach new concepts of shapes when students are in their higher grades. Second, as for the way they develop the activity of each chapter, Korean textbook sticks to a uniform way, while the Singapore textbook uses various ways for different subjects and grades. In addition, when they organize the contents of the textbook, they emphasize the importance of student's activity and lead students with various methods by suggesting several questions and situations.

귤홍의 함유성분 분석과 항산화 활성 (Component Analysis and Antioxidant Activity of Citrus Peel)

  • This study examined the components and physicochemical properties of citrus peel as a natural health food source by measuring the general and antioxidative contents of citrus peel. Total contents of carbohydrates, crude protein, crude lipid, and ash were 72.1%, 6.6%, 1.3%, and 3.7% respectively. Caloric content of citrus peel was 334.5 kcal, while total dietary fiber was 32.1%. Regarding mineral contents, Ca was the most abundant mineral, followed by K, Mg, and P. Total phenol contents of the 70% ethanolic extracts of citrus peel was $66.4{\pm}8.74mg\;GAE/g$. Total flavonoid contents of the 70% ethanolic extracts were $14.4{\pm}3.28mg\;RE/g$. The antioxidative activities of citrus peel were significantly increasing in a dose dependent manner on DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) radical scavenging, ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) diammonium salt) radical scavenging, FRAP(ferric reducing antioxidant power) activity and reducing power. Therefore, the general nutrients and other antioxidant bioactive materials in citrus peel proved that citrus peel possesses a high potential materials as a nutritious food.

레몬밤 첨가 스펀지케이크의 이화학적 항산화적 품질 특성 (Physicochemical and Antioxidative Properties of Sponge Cake with Added Melissa officinalis)

  • This study was performed to examine the physicochemical and antioxidative properties of the sponge cakes with different contents (0, 2, 4, 6, 8%, w/w) of lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) powder (LBP). An increase in LBP content in the cake led to a significant increase in the baking loss rate, specific volume, DPPH radical scavenging activity, ABTS radical scavenging activity, total phenol contents and total flavonoid contents of the cakes (p<0.05). As the LBP content increased, significant decreases were shown in the specific gravity of batter, sugar contents, pH, lightness, redness and yellowness of the cakes (p<0.05). Ash contents, uniformity index and other textural properties of hardness, springness, cohesiveness, and brittleness did not show any significant differences between the sample groups (p>0.05). These results suggest that LBP can be applied to sponge cakes to achieve positive textural properties such as uniform pore formation and increased volume with increased antioxidant properties.

글리시르히진이 3T3-L1세포의 분화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Glycyrrhizin on the Differentiation of 3T3-L1 Cell)

  • The purpose of this research was to investigate effects of glycyrrhizin on the differentiation of preadipocytes, 3T3-Ll cells and to characterize the action of glycyrrhizin that affect the responses of 3T3-Ll cells during differentiation. The differentiation of 3T3-Ll cells was stimulated by glycyrrhizin, and triglyceride contents was increased in the differentiated 3T3-LI cell extracts. Total protein contents was increased by glycyrrhizin or inductive agents in the differentiated 3T3-Ll cell extracts. Calmodulin contents was increased by inductive agents, but the contents was not affected by glycyrrhizin in the differentiated 3T3-Ll cell extracts. The results suggest that glycyrrhizin has a stimulating activity of adipose conversion, but the activity is not related to calmodulin contents during the process of differentiation of 3T3-LI cells.
