인적자본은 언제 기업의 혁신성과를 향상시킬 수 있는가?: 국제화 경험의 조절효과를 중심으로 (When Does Human Capital Facilitate the Corporate Innovation Performance?: The Moderating Effect of International Experience)

  • Purpose - This study investigates the relationship between firm-specific, general human capital and corporate innovation performance. Also, we examine when this relationship is more salient. Design/methodology/approach - We collected 1,195 survey data related to a sample of corporate innovation performance and human capital from 1) Korea Research for Vocational Education and Training and 2) NICE information service in Korea. In order to examine the corporate innovation performance, we use the ordered logit model. Findings - First, we find robust supports for our hypothesis that firm-specific and general human capital increase corporate innovation performance. Second, the effect of general human capital on corporate innovation performance is stronger when this relationship is combined with the firm international experience. Research implications or Originality - By integrating the human capital theory and corporate innovation literature, we propose that firm-specific and general human capital are the important determinant of innovation performance. The firm-specific human capital may increase innovation efficiencies. Also, retaining higher-quality general human capital is considered as an important innovation strategy since firms with higher-quality general human capital make greater innovation performance. Further, we show that the firm international experience is the crucial boundary condition. As a firm's experience in internationalization increases, firms can enhance the opportunities to develop new products by combining the skills and knowledge derived from general human capital with the experience gained through internationalization.

의료서비스 마케팅을 위한 품질지각과 만족에 관한 연구 (A Study on Qulity Perceptions and Satisfaction for Medical Service Marketing)

  • INSTRODUCTION Service quality is, unlike goods quality, an abstract and elusive constuct. Service quality and its requirements are not easily understood by consumers, and also present some critical research problems. However, quality is very important to marketers and consumers in that it has many strategic benefits in contributing to profitability of marketing activities and consumers' problem-solving activities. Moreover, despite the phenomenal growth of medical service sector, few researchers have attempted to define and model medical service quality. Especially, little research has focused on the evaluation of medical service quality and patient satisfaction from the perspectives of both the provider and the patient. As competition intensifies and patients are demanding higher quality of medical service, medical service quality and patient satisfaction has emerged as a critical research topic. The major purpose of this article is to explore the concept of medical service quality and its evaluation from both nurse and patient perspectives. This article attempts to achieve its purpose by (1)classfying critical service attibutes into threecategories(satisfiers, hygiene factors, and performance factors). (2)measuring the relative importance of need criteria, (3)evaluating SERVPERF model and SERVQUAL model in medical service sector, and (4)identifying the relationship between perceived quality and overall patient satisfaction. METHOD Data were gathered from a sample of 217 patients and 179 nurses in Seoul-area general hospitals. From the review of previous literature, 50 survey items representing various facets of the medical service quality were developed to form a questionnaire. A five-point scale ranging from "Strongly Agree"(5) to "Strongly Disagree"(1) accompanied each statement(expectation statements, perception statements, and importance statements). To measure overall satisfaction, a seven-point scale was used, ranging from "Very Satisfied"(7) to "Very Dissatisfied"(1) with no verbal labels for scale points 2 through 6 RESULTS In explaining the relationship between perceived performance and overall satisfaction, only 31 variables out of original 50 survey items were proven to be statistically significant. Hence, a penalty-reward analysis was performed on theses 31 critical attributes to find out 17 satisfiers, 8 hygiene factors, and 4 performance factors in patient perspective. The role(category) of each service quality attribute in relation to patient satisfaction was com pared across two groups, that is, patients and nurses. They were little overlapped, suggesting that two groups had different sets of 'perceived quality' attributes. Principal components factor analyses of the patients' and nurses' responses were performed to identify the underlying dimensions for the set of performance(experience) statements. 28 variables were analyzed by using a varimax rotation after deleting three obscure variables. The number of factors to be extracted was determined by evaluating the eigenvalue scores. Six factors wereextracted, accounting for 57.1% of the total variance. Reliability analysis was performed to refine the factors further. Using coefficient alpha, scores of .84 to .65 were obtained. Individual-item analysis indicated that all statements in each of the factors should remain. On 26 attributes of 31 critical service quality attributes, there were gaps between actual patient's importance of need criteria and nurse perceptions of them. Those critical attributes could be classified into four categories based on the relative importance of need criteria and perceived performance from the perspective of patient. This analysis is useful in developing strategic plans for performance improvement. (1) top priorities(high importance and low performance) (in this study)- more health-related information -accuracy in billing - quality of food - appointments at my convenience - information about tests and treatments - prompt service of business office -adequacy of accommodations(elevators, etc) (2) current strengths(high importance and high performance) (3)unnecessary strengths(low importance and high performance) (4) low priorities(low importance and low performance) While 26 service quality attributes of SERPERF model were significantly related to patient satisfation, only 13 attributes of SERVQUAL model were significantly related. This result suggested that only experience-based norms(SERVPERF model) were more appropriate than expectations to serve as a benchmark against which service experiences were compared(SERVQUAL model). However, it must be noted that the degree of association to overall satisfaction was not consistent. There were some gaps between nurse percetions and patient perception of medical service performance. From the patient's viewpoint, "personal likability", "technical skill/trust", and "cares about me" were most significant positioning factors that contributed patient satisfaction. DISCUSSION This study shows that there are inconsistencies between nurse perceptions and patient perceptions of medical service attributes. Also, for service quality improvement, it is most important for nurses to understand what satisfiers, hygiene factors, and performance factors are through two-way communications. Patient satisfaction should be measured, and problems identified should be resolved for survival in intense competitive market conditions. Hence, patient satisfaction monitoring is now becoming a standard marketing tool for healthcare providers and its role is expected to increase.

환자안전보고학습시스템 자료를 활용한 의료정보기술 및 전자의무기록시스템 관련 환자안전사건 분석 (Analyzing Health Information Technology and Electronic Medical Record System-Related Patient Safety Incidents Using Data from the Korea Patient Safety Reporting and Learning System)

  • Purpose: At present, there are a variety of serious patient safety incidents related to problems in health information technology (HIT), specifically involving electronic medical records (EMRs). This emphasizes the need for an enhanced electronic medical record system (EMRS). As such, this study analyzed both the nature of and potential to prevent incidents associated with HIT/EMRS based on data from the Korea Patient Safety Reporting and Learning System (KOPS). Methods: This study analyzed patient safety incidents submitted to KOPS between August 2016 and December 2019. HIT keywords were used to extract HIT/EMRS incidents. Each case was reviewed to confirm whether the contributing factors were related to HIT/EMRS (HIT/EMRS-related incidents) and if the incident could have been prevented (HIT/EMRS-preventable incidents). The selected reports were summarized for general clarity (e.g., incident type, and degree of harm). Results: Of the 25,515 obtained reports, 2,664 incidents (10.4%) were HIT-related, while 2,525 (9.9%) were EMRS-related. HIT/EMRS-related incidents were the third largest type of incident followed by 'fall' and 'medication incidents.' More than 80% of HIT/EMRS-related incidents were medication-related, accounting for approximately one-third of the total number of medication incidents. Approximately 10% of HIT/EMRS-related incidents resulted in patient harm, with more than 94% of these deemed as preventable; further, sentinel events were wholly preventable. Conclusion: This study provides basic data for improving EMR use/safety standards based on real-world patient safety incidents. Such improvements entail the establishment of long-term plans, research, and incident analysis, thus ensuring a safe healthcare environment for patients and healthcare providers.

2015년 한국의료패널 자료를 활용한 1인 가구 건강생활습관과 삶의 질 분석 (A Study on the Health-related Lifestyle and Quality of Life in Single Household based on KHP 2015 Data)

  • 본 연구는 1인 가구의 건강생활습관과 삶의 질 특성을 확인하여 상관성을 분석한 서술적 상관관계 연구이다. 한국의료패널 2015년 자료를 활용하여 1인 가구라고 응답한 설문 자료에서 건강생활습관 및 삶의 질 관련 변수를 선정하였다. 우리나라 1인 가구의 평균 나이는 68.19세로 여성이 71.3%를 차지하였으며, 사별로 인한 1인 가구가 64.8%였으며, 주관적 건강상태는 '보통'이 42.3%였다. 흡연자는 31.7%, 음주자는 34.7%였으며, 신체활동량은 비활동군이 55.3%로 가장 많았다. 삶의 질은 15점 만점에 $13.31{\pm}1.828$점이었으며, 흡연빈도, 음주빈도, 신체활동과 삶의 질 점수는 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 다인 가구와의 비교연구를 통해 흡연 및 음주가 삶의 질에 영향을 끼치게 되는 매개 요인에 대해 심층적으로 탐색할 필요가 있다. 또한, 본 자료를 바탕으로 1인 가구를 대상으로 하는 사회관계를 지지하는 신체활동 증진 프로그램을 지원할 필요가 있다. 또한, 국가적 차원에서 사회적 지원 체계의 마련을 위해 노력해야 할 것이다.

Controlled Bandwidth Borrowing with Extended RSVP-TE to Maximize Bandwidth Utilization

  • Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) has been developed as a key technology to enhance the reliability, manageability and overall quality of service of core If networks with connection-oriented tunnel LSP and traffic engineering such as constraint-based routing, explicit routing, and restoration. In this paper, we propose a control bandwidth borrowing scheme that maximizes the utilization of tunnel LSPs or physical links by an extension to the RSVP-TE label distribution protocol. MPLS-based core switching network and VPN services rely on the establishment of connection-oriented tunneled LSPs that are configured or predefined by network management systems. The mechanism of network management system varies from (i) a relatively static LSP establishment accounting, to (ii) a dynamic QoS routing mechanisms. With the use of hierarchical LSPs, the extra bandwidth that is unused by the trunk (outer) LSPs should be fully allocated to their constituent end-to-end user traffic (inner) LSPs in order to maximize their utilization. In order to find out the unused extra bandwidth in tunnel LSP or physical link and redistribute these resources to constituent LSPs, we expend the functionality of RSVP-TE and the found unused extra bandwidth is redistributed with a weight-based recursive redistribution scheme. By the extended RSVP-TE and proposed recursive redistributed scheme, we could achieve the instantaneous maximized utilization of tunnel LSP or physical link suffering from the potential under-utilization problem and guarantee the end-to-end QoS requirements. With the proposed scheme, network manager can manage more effectively the extra available bandwidth of hierarchical LSPs and maximize the instantaneous utilization of the tunneled LSP resources.

광반사를 이용한 한국 논 토양 특성센서를 위한 샘플링과 캘리브레이션 요구조건 (Sampling and Calibration Requirements for Optical Reflectance Soil Property Sensors for Korean Paddy Soils)

  • Optical diffuse reflectance sensing has potential for rapid and reliable on-site estimation of soil properties. For good results, proper calibration to measured soil properties is required. One issue is whether it is necessary to develop calibrations using samples from the specific area or areas (e.g., field, soil series) in which the sensor will be applied, or whether a general "factory" calibration is sufficient. A further question is if specific calibration is required, how many sample points are needed. In this study, these issues were addressed using data from 42 paddy fields representing 14 distinct soil series accounting for 74% of the total Korean paddy field area. Partial least squares (PLS) regression was used to develop calibrations between soil properties and reflectance spectra. Model evaluation was based on coefficient of determination ($R^2$) root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP), and RPD, the ratio of standard deviation to RMSEP. When sample data from a soil series were included in the calibration stage (full information calibration), RPD values of prediction models were increased by 0.03 to 3.32, compared with results from calibration models not including data from the test soil series (calibration without site-specific information). Higher $R^2$ values were also obtained in most cases. Including some samples from the test soil series (hybrid calibration) generally increased RPD rapidly up to a certain number of sample points. A large portion of the potential improvement could be obtained by adding about 8 to 22 points, depending on the soil properties to be estimated, where the numbers were 10 to 18 for pH, 18-22 for EC, and 8 to 22 for total C. These results provide guidance on sampling and calibration requirements for NIR soil property estimation.

WiMAX 정책 제어 시스템의 정보 동기화 (Error Handling and Data Synchronization in Policy and Charging Control Architecture in WiMAX)

  • 3GPP와 WiMAX의 Policy and Charging Control(PCC) 표준에서는 정책제어 시스템(Policy and Charging Rule Function, PCRF)이 정책적용 시스템(Policy and Charging Rule Enforcement Function, PCEF)에 품질 및 과금 정책을 설정하고 관리함으로써 네트워크 자원을 제어하는 아키텍처를 정의한다. 본 논문은 PCRF 시스템과 PCEF 시스템 사이에서 정책 정보 불일치로 인해 발생하는 오류의 유형을 규정하고, 각 오류의 유형에 따라 PCRF 시스템의 정책 정보와 PCEF 시스템의 정책 정보를 동기화 시키는 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 WiMAX 표준을 준용하여 한국에 구축된 WiBro 시스템에서 각 기지국의 mobile VoIP(mVoIP) 수용량 관점에서 제안한 방법의 성능을 정량적으로 분석하였다. 제안한 방법은 삭제되지 않은 정책 정보로 인한 네트워크 자원의 낭비를 줄이고, 불필요한 정보의 누적으로 인해 발생하는 시스템의 부하, 메모리 누수, 시스템 정지 등과 같은 문제점들을 방지하고, PCC 서비스를 안정적으로 유지시켜 줌으로써 시스템의 성능을 향상시킨다. 우리는 이 방법을 실제 구현을 통하여 검증하였으며, WiMAX 표준에 반영시켰다.

ATM-GFR 서비스를 위한 F-GCRA 알고리즘 개선 (Improvement of F-GCRA Algorithm for ATM-GFR Service)

  • ATM 포럼은 ATM 네트워크에서 인터넷 트래픽을 효과적으로 서비스하기 위해 guaranteed frame rate (GFR) 서비스를 정의하였다. GFR 서비스는 가상 연결에게 minimum cell rate (MCR) 을 보장하고, 여분의 대역폭을 공평하게 공유하도록 한다 또한, 보장된 대역폭을 사용하기에 적합한 ATM 셀을 프레임 단위로 판별하는 프레임 분류기로 frame-based generic cell rate algerian (F-GCRA)을 사용하도록 ATM 포럼은 권고하고 있다. ATM 스위치는 현재 버퍼의 사용량을 고려하여 셀을 프레임 단위로 버퍼에 저장하거나 폐기한다. FIFO 공유 버퍼는 단순한 구조로 인해 스위치에 구현하는데 용이하지만, 가상 연결 별 버퍼 사용량에 따른 버퍼 관리 없이는 각 가상 연결의 MCR를 보장할 수 없었다. 본 논문은 가상 연결 별 버퍼 사용량 관리 없이 각 가상 연결의 MCR을 보장할 수 있도록 F-GCRA 프레임 분류기를 개선한다. 개선된 프레임 분류기는 혼잡 제어로 인한 TCP 트래픽의 burst 특성을 고려하여, 각 가상 연결이 예약한 대역폭을 충분히 사용할 수 있도록 한다. 이러한 개선된 프렌임 분류기의 기능은 여분의 대역폭 사용의 불공정성 문제 역시 완화시키는 효과를 갖는다. 모의실험을 통해 개선된 프레임 분류 알고리즘이 TCP 트래픽에게 GFR 서비스에 대한 만족스런 GoS를 제공함을 보인다.

기업건전성평가에 미치는 내부통제정보의 유용성에 관한 실증분석 연구 (An Empirical Analysis about the usefulness of Internal Control Information on Corporate Soundness Assessment)

  • 본 연구는 기업의 내부통제 취약점 유무가 금융기관의 기업건전성 평가 분류와 유의적으로 작용하는지를 실증 분석함으로써, 기업에게는 효율적인 내부통제제도 형성유인을 제공하고 금융기관에게는 내부회계관리제도에 따른 정보유용성을 실증적으로 확인해 보는데 있다. 분석대상은 2008년부터 2013년까지 K_금융기관과 거래실적이 있는 유가증권 및 코스닥 상장기업과 자산 1,000억 원 이상의 비상장기업이다. 분석결과, 내부회계관리제도에 따른 내부통제 취약점 비보고기업은 평균적으로 'BBB' 신용등급을 받는데 반하여, 보고기업은 'CCC'등급을 받고 있으며, 자산 건전성 분류 역시 통계적으로 유의하게 비보고기업은 '정상'으로, 보고기업은 '요주의' 기업으로 분류되고 있다. 따라서 내부통제의 취약점 보고정보는 기업이 형성하는 재무자료의 신뢰성을 저하시켜 기업에게는 낮은 신용등급의 원인으로, 금융기관에게는 자산부실화 예방을 위한 충당금 추가 적립, 높은 대출금리 요구의 유인이 될 수 있다는 점을 시사한다. 내부회계관리제도에 따른 내부통제의 취약점 보고가 기업신용평가나 자산건전성 분류 등 기업 건전성에 대한 금융기관의 평가에 유의한 정보로써 활용될 수 있다는 점을 제시하고 있는 것이 본 연구의 주요의의이다.

한국 중학생의 온라인 학습 행동에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing the Online Learning Behaviors of Middle School Students in South Korea)

  • 본 연구에서는 중학생을 대상으로 중학생의 온라인 학습 행동에 영향을 미치는 새로운 요인을 구성하기 위한 요인분석을 제시하였다. 총 204명의 한국 중학생이 참여했으며, 중학교 3년 학생의 표본을 목적표본으로 선정하여 사용하였다. 요인 분석 결과는 공유 분산의 66.15%를 차지하는 35개 항목에 대한 8개 요인 솔루션을 제시했다. 중학생들의 온라인 학습 행동을 식별하기 위해 다양한 요인이 고려된다. 이때, 중학교 시기 온라인 러닝의 적절한 경험과 활용도는 그들의 미래 교육의 중요한 발판이 되기 때문에 중요하다. 본 연구의 결과는 중학생을 위한 온라인 러닝 시스템의 질을 향상시키고 온라인 학습을 발전시키기 위한 정보를 제공할 것으로 기대한다. 연구 결과는 중학생의 온라인 학습 행동에 영향을 미치는 8가지 중요한 요인을 제시했고, 그것들은 1) 소셜 미디어를 학습 도구로 활용한 커뮤니케이션, 2) ICT를 활용한 정보 공유 의지, 3) 테크놀러지 중독, 4) 테크놀러지 도입, 5) ICT를 활용한 정보 탐색, 6) 소셜 미디어 학습 활용, 7) ICT를 이용한 정보 검색, 그리고 8) 테크놀러지 몰입이다. 본 연구의 결과는 중학생들이 학습도구로 소셜미디어를 활용한 커뮤니케이션을 선호하며, ICT를 활용한 정보 공유 의도를 대부분 중시하고 있음을 확인하였다. 요인 분석을 기반으로 얻은 데이터는 온라인 러닝의 새로운 교육 플랫폼을 적용하기 위해, 소셜 미디어 학습과 ICT의 혼합에 대한 온라인 학습 행동에 중요하게 적용할 수 있을 것이다. 이 연구는 중학생들의 온라인 학습 행동을 더 잘 이해하고 온라인 학습 환경을 설계하는 정보 전문가가 특히 디지털 리터러시가 필요한 중학생에게 더 잘 지원할 수 있도록 유용하게 사용할 것으로 기대한다.
