  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the abilities of 6th grade students to assess the relationship between spatial capability, concept of celestial motion, and science process skills, which can help find a better teaching strategy for students in understanding the concept of celestial motion. The results are as follows. First, in terms of level of accomplishment of these three skills, male students show higher level of accomplishment than female students, but significant differences are found. Second, according to the analysis of the effect of spatial capability and concept of the movement of heavenly bodies, the former has a stronger influence on the students' cognition of celestial motion. Minor elements of spatial capability that influence the conception of celestial motion are device analogy, calculation of wood cut, and revolving light. Third, spatial capability is very influential on the level of accomplishment in science process skills. Among the minor elements of spatial capability that is influential to science process skills, calculation of wood cut is the highest, especially when various elements are interactively related to each other.

  • As polarization and class reproduction between generations are considered to be serious problems in Korean society, increasing number of assortative mating, which means marrying between homogeneous family background, income class, and educational background, is on the spotlight socially. Some worry that the increase of assortative mating can reinforce closure of social mobility so it deepens inequality and limits class mobility between generations. This research analyzes the effects of accomplishment characteristics of husbands and wives and ascriptive characteristics of parents which consist the concept of assortative mating, on income, consumption, and assets those represent economic status of a family. The purpose of this research is to suggest empirical understanding on the role of assortative mating that affect on inequality within generations and income mobility between generations in Korean society. In the result of multiple regression analysis on the effect of assortative mating on income, consumption, and assets, high educational background was the factor that increase income and consumption level as accomplishment characteristics of assortative mating. As ascriptive characteristics of assortative mating, educational homogeneous of fathers was the factor that increased asset level. While accomplishment characteristics affect income and consumption, ascriptive characteristics of homogeneous had significant effect on assets. Thus, it was found that transfer between generations had effects around asset rather than income. In particular, ascriptive characteristics in young husbands and wives aged 20s or 30s had significant effect only on the assets.

  • Recently, Korean economy is boosted by the active introduction of many venture businesses full of entrepreneurship. It has been widely accepted implicitly that success of the venture business originates from unique style of knowledge management. This assumption looks natural when we consider the fact that success of the venture business heavily depends on differentiated intelligent asset or knowledge. However, such implicit belief has never been tested empirically. To fill the research void like this, this paper proposes an empirical derivation of key success factors from the venture businesses listed in KOSDAQ. To add rigor to our results, we performed regression analysis by using the derived key success factors as independent variables, and introducing organization efficiency, job satisfaction, and accomplishment motivation as dependent variables. Regression results showed that our approach is justified from the statistical perspective.

  • As manpower shortage of national construction site is continuing, a manpower of foreign laborers are steadily increasing. The construction industry impacts the purpose for productivity of laborers as labor-intensive industry against different industry. Therefore, there is a need of analysis of foreign laborer's productivity. This study analyzes to use foreign labor's psychological productivity factors as a basic standard by comparing to Korean's. Construction foreign laborers seem to put bigger priority on "accomplishment of task," and "job satisfaction," than Korean workers, according to the response results in Likert 5-point Scale Measurement with 11 kinds of psychological causes in theories regarding productivity factors. Thus, this study expects to use as baseline data for productivity management of construction foreign laborers.

  • The design project of a technology product provides an opportunity for students to experience the inter-connectedness of academic information and ill-defined real-world problems. This study focuses on non-engineering students' activity and perception through the assistive technology design project. For this purpose, participants engaged in a team-based technology design project. Then, a qualitative research approach was adopted, which included reflective journals with 24 undergraduate students majored in Adaptive Physical Education. The analysis identified six factors (knowledge value, social value, reality value, accomplishment value, perspective value, benefit value) of perception and five stages (topic selection, function suggestion, visualization, presentation preparation, and presentation) of activity.

A was used for evaluation, The questions were composed in consideration of socio-demographic characteristics, physical health condition by CMI, mental condition assessed by a modified Zung's self-rating depression scale (SDS), and the evaluation of food consumption by a 24 hours recall method. The family situations of the subjects were mostly nuclear family(73%), agricultural work(53%), and having religion(53%). Only 3% of the students suffered depression where as 19% showed depression trendencies. The individual factors that affected their mental condition were family farming and consciousness of academic accomplishment. The health status counted with CMI was 6.2/20 scores. The non-depressed trend group of students had a lower score of CMI than others. The overall nutrient intakes of students were low compared with the Korean RDA for adolescents. The Mean Adequacy Ratio(MAR) of nutrient intakes was only $0.45{\pm}0.23$. Iron, vitamin A, and riboflavin intakes were significantly low and correlated with depressive trend score. The result from the regression analysis showed that CMI, study accomplishment, and vitamin A were the most significant factors influencing mental condition. We concluded that Korean rural high-school students were healthy in mental condition and showed lower rates of depression academic. For there more we could say that the intakes of iron and vitamin A also influenced mental health. Findings confirmed the need of becoming hopeful job of farming and better nutritional status. These situations would be necessary for students to ameliorate the quality of rural living.

  • This study was designed to investigate the difference in the autonomous supervision and role performance according to the socio-demographic factors of the teachers. Also, the relation of the autonomous supervision and the role performance was examined. This research was conducted using the questionnaire to 394 teachers of national, public, and private kindergarten in Chung-buk province. Data were analyzed with the SPSSWIN program by the frequency, percentage, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe post-hoc test and Pearson's correlation analysis. The results were summarized as follows: First, levels of autonomous supervision of kindergarten teachers were high in general and there were significant differences according to the institution, age, scholastic ability, and the career. The accomplishment in the public kindergarten was higher than that in the private one. Moreover, the higher the teacher's age, career, and scholastic ability, the higher the accomplishment. Second, levels of role performance of the kindergarten teachers were excellent, but the levels of role performance were higher in the public kindergarten than in the private one because the public teachers who did not transfer much had more chances of continuous education and higher responsibility. The role performance of teachers was found to be relatively higher in the kindergarten in countries than in cities because there were more public kindergartens than private ones in countries. Third, there were significant correlations between the lower factors of autonomous supervision and the role performance of the kindergarten teachers. Because the various types of the autonomous supervision can help the teacher's role performance, various types of the autonomous supervision which fit the developmental stages of the teachers will be desirable.

  • Recently various new model of teaching-learning as web based education system has been proposed. The demand for the customized courseware which is required from the learners is increased, the needs of the efficient and automated education agents in the web-based instruction are recognized. But many education systems that had been studied recently did not service fluently the courses which learners had been wanting and could not provide the way for the learners to study the teaming weakness which is observed in the continuous feedback of the course. In this paper we propose a multi-agent system for course scheduling of learner-oriented using weakness analysis algorithm. First proposed system analyze learner's result of evaluation and calculates teaming accomplishment. From this accomplishment the multi-agent schedules the suitable course for the learner The learner achieves an active and complete learning from the repeated and suitable course.
