  • The purpose of this study is to verify how much the education service quality related to physical security of security department students affects college life satisfaction and academic continuation decision. To this end, a survey was conducted from April 10 to 28, 2023 targeting 200 university students receiving physical security education at the university. The survey contents were composed by dividing the variables into "first, educational service quality, second, college life satisfaction and third, academic continuation decision," and based on this, 3 research hypotheses were selected. We calculated regression analysis to examine the study model. Analysis result, among the 3 research hypotheses, "Educational service quality ⇨ College life satisfaction, College life satisfaction ⇨ Academic continuation decision" was significantly calculated and adopted, but "Education service quality ⇨ Academic continuation decision" was found to be insignificant and rejected. According to the results of a survey conducted among students, it seems that students will have the academic continuation decision only when they are college life satisfaction.

  • Security Service is the study for social safety and maintenance of order. Compared with the industrial circle, it has only been 18 years, though, many-sided scholars have been interested in this field and tried. The present Security Service, however, has several problems, so it is difficult to gain recognition as the value of learning. To achieve this, several kinds of prior tasks should get solved. First, Preparation for agreement between Industry and University about the academic concept and establishment of range. Second, Set up the School Register System for the academic establishment of identity. Third, Preparation of the plan for the organization of education system. Fourth, Study Direction different from the industrial world. (Unconcern) Therefore, the alternatives centered on some prior tasks will be suggested to enhance the identity and value of Security Service as the study.

  • Even though the rapid development of IT technique accelerates informationization for quality improvement of university, security measures are needed for security problems because the major information related to academic affairs is centered on academic database. In this paper, we research and analyze the actual condition of database security of domestic university to develop process model that can consistently keep and improve the security of academic database which is the most important data in university. Also, considering the situation that a lot of universities can't use database security product, we propose details that implement the most important key part like confidentiality with the function that DBMS provides only.

  • To improve educational excellence and quality, academies carry forward integrative security model related to academic affairs including personal information. This paper proposes an integrative security model for academic affairs database, which guarantees DBMS access control, confidentiality, integrity, and security inspection. This proposed model considered that most academies can't make good use of data security product and suggests a detailed measure to realize the confidentiality based on the function of DBMS.

  • This paper presents the findings of a study in which students at a four-year university were surveyed in an effort to analyze and verify the differences in perceived security awareness, security-related activities, and security damage experiences when using smartphones, based on demographic variables such as gender, academic year, and college major. Moreover, the perceived security awareness items and security-related activities were tested to verify whether they affect the students' security damage experience. Based on survey data obtained from 592 participants, the findings indicate that demographic differences exist for some of the survey question items. The majority of the male students replied "affirmative" to some of the questions related to perceived security awareness and "enthusiastic" to questions about security-related activities. Some academic year differences exist in the responses to perceived security awareness and security-related activities. On the whole, freshmen had the lowest level of security awareness. Security alert seems to be very high in sophomores, but it decreases as the students become older. While the difference in perceived security awareness based on college major was not significant, the difference in some security-related activities based on that variable was significant. No significant difference was found in some items such as storing private information in smartphones and frequency of implementation of security applications based on the college major variable. However, differences among the college majors were verified in clicking hyperlinks in unknown SMS messages and in the number of security applications in smartphones. No differences were found in security damage experiences based on gender, academic year, and college major. Security awareness items had no impact on the experience of security damage in smartphones. However, some security activities, such as storing resident registration numbers in a smartphone, clicking hyperlinks in unknown SMS messages, the number of security apps in a smartphone, and the frequency of implementation of security apps did have an impact on security damage.

  • Industrial security research has shown a rapid increase over the past decade. With the establishment of the Korean Association for Industrial Security in 2008 and the establishment of the departments of industrial security in recent years, academic interests and research on industrial security are also spreading at a rapid pace. Although academic interest and research have grown in quantitative terms, research on theoretical fields that are the basis of academic systematization is extremely limited. There is a focus on the issue of specific issues and practical solutions without worrying about the theoretical basis including conceptualization. Therefore, in most studies, the concept of industrial security remains at the level of accepting the concept applied in the previous research. Most industrial security research focuses on the specific topic of 'industrial technology protection' because it considers the concept of industrial security to be reduced to industrial technology protection. Although industrial security is composed of a wide range of fields, recognizing a specific field as an entirety of industrial security appears to be a serious problem. As a result, the concept of industrial security in industrial security research is being used ambiguously, incorrectly, and conveniently. It is necessary to accurately and recognize the concept of industrial security based on logical clarity and empirical feasibility.

  • Universities are one of leading R&D institutes, however, their scarce security investment allows research information to leak outside. This paper proposes methods for improving security level of academic institutes to protect research information by analyzing security awareness and activities. To do that, we verified the current status of information security and awareness level by analyzing the survey which was conducted for a member of Seoul National University. As a result of statistical analysis using correlation, analysis of variance, multi regression and so on, we concluded that it is essential to improve security awareness, activities, professor's security level and management process for research labs. Thus, we suggest the following methods, security awareness and knowledge development through education, security management for research labs through provision, introduction of data protection softwares and physical control of visitors which are to be adopted to improve security level.

  • As the informative society becomes intensified, the rise of the convergence security offers an alternative strategic correspondence to the technology leaks that are becoming more advanced, complex, and intelligent. In order to the convergence security to provide its efficacy, training convergence security specialists is essential. However, research on the subject has yet to be considered sufficient. Thus this research focuses on defense industry security specialists to define the duty and analze critical task as well as drawn and therefore the required academic level of the critical task was examined. These research work contributes to the competence development of convergence security specialists and further enhancement on convergence security training process of academic institutions and job training institutions.
